"Trophy Wife" star Marcia Gay Harden is trading in Dr. Diane Buckley's stethoscope for, well ... Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey's stethoscope. Harden has been cast as the mother to Christian (Jamie Dornan), Mia (Rita Ora) and Elliot Grey (Luke Grimes) in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, reports THR.
In the novels, Grace is the adoptive mother of Christian. She's the pediatrician who treated him after his mother committed suicide when he was four years old. She has a long-time friend, Elena Lincoln, who plays a pivotal role in Christian's adolescence.
Harden not only stars on "Trophy Wife," but was also seen in this past summer's season of HBO's "The Newsroom." She can next been seen on the silver screen in "Elsa & Fred," a family comedy starring Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer and James Brolin.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" is slated for a Feb. 14, 2015 release.

Don’t you think hunky Taylor Lautner would be perfect for the role of Jose Rodriguez in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film? Here are the key reasons why he should be cast.
Now that Fifty Shades of Grey producers have chosen Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as their Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, they’re moving on to casting key supporting characters, including Christian’s brother, Elliot Grey — who will be played by actor Luke Grimes – and Ana’s cute, funny best friend Jose Rodriguez.
In the book, Ana describes Jose as the “brother she never had,” however, he is secretly smitten with her. Sound familiar? We all know Fifty Shades of Grey was based on the Twilight series, and the character of Jose is extremely similar to Taylor Lautner‘s Twilight character, Jacob Black — which is exactly why Taylor would be perfect for the part of Anastasia Steele’s long-suffering best friend!

Now that "Fifty Shades of Grey" has found its Christian Grey (again), the movie is filling out the rest of the major roles.
Variety reports that "True Blood" actor Luke Grimes -- who played James, Jessica's love interest on the HBO vampire drama -- has been cast as Elliot Grey, Christian's brother. The news comes on the heels of Jamie Dornan replacing Charlie Hunnam as the movie's main protagonist.
In the erotic novel by E.L. James, Elliot goes along with Christian when he picks up a drunk Anastasia (to be played by Dakota Johnson) at a bar. There, he meets and flirts with Anastasia's friend Kate (yet to be cast). Elliot is also a part of the book's sequels.
Grimes is an up-and-coming actor who's had small parts in "Brothers and Sisters" and "Taken 2." Once director Sam Taylor-Johnson fills out the rest of the cast, filming is set to begin in the next few weeks.

In case anyone doubted Channing Tatum is on a mission to appeal to every audience there is, today comes the news, per the Hollywood Reporter, that the Magic Mike star is in talks to play legendary daredevil Evel Knievel in a biopic set to be produced by the same guys making 50 Shades of Grey, Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti. (Oooh, speaking of which, Chan would make an excellent Elliot Grey, wouldn’t he?) This flick would no doubt nab him the Jackass demo, which, after conquering the dance, action, comedy, romance and stripper genres, is the next logical step in his master plan.
We never thought our Channing Tatum fantasies would include seeing him jump over 13 delivery trucks in a motorcycle, but we’ll take it. And the idea made us want to go back and list the many various occupations and pastimes Channing has tackled (and is slated to...

What's worse than one strange visitor in the middle of the night? A subsequent, much stranger visitor that follows him. Such is the case in the short film, The Visitor.
This 20-minute short follows the story of a single father trying to win the favor of his teenage daughter who is slipping away from him. A knock at the door rips through the stillness of the night and an unexpected stranger arrives…then an exponentially stranger stranger arrives after him.
Written and directed by Matthew Ryckman and starring Ari Blinder, Abigail Monet and Elliot Grey, The Visitor is a cool creature feature that you'll definitely enjoy. It's shot slickly and written well, building tension like a champ. Take a look at The Visitor.

Before the movie version of mega-best-selling erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey was officially announced, we named our picks to play the two amorous leads, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Now that we know that the film is really under way, we’ve cast the net wider to imagine actors in a bunch of the smaller roles. Author E L James drove a hard bargain when it came to fielding offers from movie studios — she and her agent, Valerie Hoskins, insisted on script, director, and main cast approval.
It’s apparent that James and Hoskins are doing what they can...
