Robotech is a franchise that keeps on keeping on and most of that is thanks to comics. After making a big splash with its original anime in 1985, the series mostly went quiet but comics were almost always there to fill in the gap. From Comico Comics to Eternity Comics, Academy Comics, Wildstom, and more, the Robotech comics now reside at Titan Comics. After relaunching the line in 2017, Titan paused on new Robotech comics in 2020 thanks in part to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now the comics are back and they’ll be focusing on a fan-favorite lead character in the Robotech universe. Rick Hunter, from the first generation Macross Saga. Below we’ve got an exclusive synopsis and images from the new series.

Director Sean S. Cunningham is widely known for the classic 1980 slasher Friday the 13th, a movie we know and love that spawned a whole series of sequels and eventually a remake. Still, he’s done plenty of other things, and one of those things is the 1985 thriller, The New Kids. With a screenplay by Stephen Gyllenhaal who also wrote the story alongside Brian Taggert, The New Kids finally comes out on Blu-ray in the UK thanks to 101 Films and their excellent Black Label.
The story itself follows two American teenagers – Loren (Shannon Presby) and Abby (Lori Loughlin) – who, when their parents are killed in a car accident, move to Florida to live with their Uncle.

I swear to God it’s not an illusion… says Debra Port in this short trailer for the upcoming sci-fi horror titled Liquid Red. Well, about that upcoming-part… I’m not sure what to tell you guys, Robert Dyke‘s movie is currently in post production, and there’s still nothing about an official release date. But, I definitely think this movie deserves your attention, so make sure you check out the video and some cool & pretty weird images from the whole thing!
Liquid Red tells the story of a female filmmaker who (somehow) becomes the victim of the surreal fantasies and horrors of the movies she makes. Or, as director Dyke previously revealed:
Liquid Red became a journey of a woman experiencing an alien invasion, murderous clones, mad scientists, the last days of planet Earth and, of course, zombies. Even stranger may be her encounters with a sexy movie star and power-mad studio head,...

What is Liquid Red? I’m not entirely sure. “Moontrap” director Robert Dyke’s upcoming genre-bending effort is giving off some seriously strong Cronenberg vibes, and I kind of dig what I’ve seen thus far. The trailer starts out kind of slow — the first 90 seconds involve nothing more than an increasingly distressed lady speaking directly to the camera — but once the crazy kicks in, you’ll be glad you stuck around. I may not know what Liquid Red is, but I’m extremely curious to find learn more. Here’s hoping this one shows up sooner, you know, rather than later. Check out this synopsis, courtesy of Shock Till You Drop: Liquid Red stars Debra Port as a woman experiencing an alien invasion, murderous clones, mad scientists, the last days of planet Earth and zombies. Even stranger are her encounters with a sexy movie star (Caprice Benedetti) and power-mad...

Horror filmmakers are special people. Just their inborn desire to scare the living shit out of anyone that sits down to watch their work is notable enough, but what would happen if a filmmaker got caught up in her own nightmares? The answer is Liquid Red.
We just received a ton of new images as well as a pretty chilling trailer for Robert Dyke's new movie Liquid Red. The film stars Debra Port, Caprice Benedetti and Vince Grant. Dyke's company, Scout Productions, working in association with Detroit-based Wall Street Productions, recently completed Liquid Red with an anticipated release later this year.
From the Press Release
A beautiful filmmaker finds herself trapped in the fantasies and horrors of her movies. That idea jump-started Robert Dyke (director of Moontrap and Timequest, both featuring cult god Bruce Campbell) to create Liquid Red.

Moontrap and Timequest helmer Robert Dyke (who did the miniatures on Evil Dead II) is back behind the camera for a bizarre slice of cinema called Liquid Red.
The film thrusts a female filmmaker into the surreal fantasies and horrors of the movies she makes. "This concept combining my favorite genres of horror, fantasy and science fiction got me excited," said Dyke, "and this would give me the opportunity to do a show piece for professional talents I waned to work with again."
