Ridley Scott is channeling Cecil B. DeMille in this first trailer for "Exodus: Gods and Kings," the Old Testament saga about Moses and Rhamses. It looks epic, if epic weren't a word rendered nearly meaningless from use by overenthusiastic bloggers and/or "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," but what else can you say about the story of Moses leading the slaves out of Egypt?
The budget for spray tanning Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton alone must have been astronomical! Edgerton is barely recognizable as a sort of 20th century Yul Brynner in his get-up, because if you want to cast someone who looks like an Egyptian king, it makes total sense to cast a white Australian dude.
