There’s light at the end of the tunnel for Snowpiercer, after all.
The post-apocalyptic drama on wheels was canceled after three seasons by TNT in January 2023, despite previously scoring a renewal for a fourth — and final — season.
At the time of the cancellation, the entirety of the fourth season was in the can, meaning that an ending had been filmed, but producers would need to find a new outlet to air the episodes.
Truthfully, we lost hope the episodes would see the light of day because it was the latest in a long line of financially driven decisions by Warner Bros. Discovery, which had already scrapped the already-completed Batgirl movie, among other things.
As the weeks turned into months, the chance of Snowpiercer securing a home to air its final-ever episodes looked bleak … until AMC stepped up to the plate this week.

TNT‘s series adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s “Snowpiercer” (which was based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob) kicked off back in 2020, with three seasons aired between 2020 and 2022. Season 4 has already been filmed, but it won’t be airing on TNT. As we learned last year, TNT made the decision to cut ties with the brand entirely.
The good news? The upcoming season has been given a second chance at life.
Variety reports this afternoon that “Snowpiercer” Season 4 has been acquired by AMC – along with the previous three seasons – and it’ll finally premiere on AMC in early 2025.
Variety notes, “It had already been announced Season 4 would be the show’s last before TNT parent company Warner Bros. Discovery decided to not air Season 4 altogether in a cost-cutting move. Producer Tomorrow Studios then shopped the show to other outlets.”

Patience is a virtue, especially if you're a sci-fi fan.
When it comes to genre TV, science fiction and sci-fi adjacent programs are often saved when unceremoniously dumped by a network.
Jericho, Lucifer, The Expanse, and Stargate Sg-1 all found new life after cancellation. Today, Snowpiercer joins that list.
AMC Networks announced today that it has acquired the exclusive U.S. linear and streaming rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama series Snowpiercer.
The first three seasons of the critically acclaimed drama will stream on AMC+ later this year, leading up to the series’ season four premiere on AMC and AMC+ in early 2025.
This should come as excellent news for TV Fanatics, as the show always drove discussion and fueled passionate viewers with much to say.

Snowpiercer’s final season will see the light of day after all.
AMC has picked up rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama — including the completed but never aired fourth season. The series first aired on TNT, but the Warner Bros. Discovery network canceled the show in January 2023 as it and sister channels TBS and TruTV left the scripted business.
The first two seasons of Snowpiercer will begin streaming on AMC+ on June 1, with season three following a week later. The final season will debut July 21 on both AMC and AMC+ — a change from the network’s earlier plans to air the final season in early 2025.
“Snowpiercer is an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride with a loyal fanbase — similar to the passionate fandoms we serve across our biggest franchise series — and a welcome addition to AMC and AMC+,” said Ben Davis, executive vp original programming at AMC Networks and AMC Studios.

The final season of Snowpiercer has finally found a home.
The fourth season of the sci-fi drama will air on AMC after the company acquired the rights to the Tomorrow Studios-produced series. It comes after TNT scrapped the show last year as part of a wider Warner Bros. Discovery content write down strategy.
Deadline revealed in January 2023 that the fourth season wouldn’t air on its original home, as part of a slew of content cuts that also including the axing of Batgirl, Abrams’ HBO drama Demimonde, and TBS series such as The Big D, Chad and Kill The Orange Bear.
It is the latest series that AMC has saved after being scrapped elsewhere; the network bought Captain Nemo series Nautilus after it was cut by Disney+.

It’s been over a year since the third season of Snowpiercer wrapped up on TNT but there’s still no word on when fans might get to see the fourth and final season. Due to cost-cutting measures, it was announced earlier this year that Snowpiercer season 4 wouldn’t be airing on TNT but that Tomorrow Studios would be shopping the series to another network.
While speaking with Deadline, Tomorrow Studios CEO Marty Adelstein offered an update on the state of Snowpiercer. “We have Season 4 in the can, which hasn’t been seen yet,” Adelstein said. “We’re talking to a number of buyers about buying the first three seasons and also Season 4 which is probably our best season; we’re in the middle of that.” He added that they’re also searching for a new home for Let the Right One In, the former Showtime series that was canceled earlier this year.

Showtime has released an official trailer for Ghosts of Beirut, a four-part spy drama that revisits the true-life manhunt for the deadly Hezbollah mastermind Imad Mughniyeh, who killed more Americans than any other terrorist before 9/11 as he eluded the CIA and Mossad for over two decades.
“You push the button, and go to Paradise,” a voice-over in Arabic says at one point in the limited series trailer, as Mughniyeh, also known as the Ghost and played by Hisham Suleiman, sets up more deadly terrorist strikes.
The heart-pounding thriller comes from Fauda creators Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz and will stream on Showtime May 19 before making its on-air debut May 21. The trailer has a pulsing score and explosive action sequences as Ghosts of Beirut spans decades and weaves in first-hand, real-life interviews with officials from the CIA and Mossad to connect the turmoil of 1980s Beirut with the spy games of the modern Middle East.

TNT‘s series adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s “Snowpiercer” (which was based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob) kicked off back in 2020, with three seasons aired between 2020 and 2022. The show’s fourth season has been filmed, but in a strange twist of fate we’ve learned this week that it won’t actually be airing on TNT at all.
Deadline reports, “Snowpiercer, the only remaining original scripted series on TNT, is done on the Warner Bros. Discovery network. The post-apocalyptic drama’s completed fourth and final season will not run on the basic cable network as previously announced. The move is believed to be part of the tax write-offs for content at Wbd.”
“I hear the studio behind it, Tomorrow Studios, is currently shopping the new season, along with potential prequel and sequel, with the goal to build a franchise,” Deadline adds.

The episodes have been produced and season four will be shopped elsewhere. There's also a possibility that the show's universe will keep chugging along.

"It's playing backwards…" What does it mean when a record plays backwards, oh no?! Hidden Empire has revealed a second official trailer for Fear, releasing in theaters in just a few more weeks. This one looks like it's worth skipping. A new film made by director Deon Taylor, best known for his films The Intruder, Fatale, and Black and Blue. A year into living through a worldwide pandemic, a small group of friends gather in the remote Tahoe Mountains to stay at the "Historic Strawberry Lodge". But celebration turns to terror as one by one each guest faces their own worst fear. The horror movie stars Joseph Sikora, T.I., King Bach, Terrence J, Ruby Modine, Annie Ilonzeh, Iddo Goldberg, and Jessica Allain. This looks instantly forgettable and annoyingly derivative. They even had to stuff the trailer with a bunch of boring "evil" quotes. ›››

"Believing what you fear will bring to the victim what they are afraid of." Hidden Empire has debuted an official trailer for Fear, yet another January horror film releasing at the end of the first month in the New Year. From director Deon Taylor, best known for his films The Intruder, Fatale, and Black and Blue. A year into living through a worldwide pandemic, a group of friends gather in the remote Tahoe Mountains to stay at the "Historic Strawberry Lodge". But celebration turns to terror as one by one each guest faces their own worst fear. Plenty of other films have had this "confront your fears" concept, so what's the hook in this one?? The horror movie stars Joseph Sikora, T.I., King Bach, Terrence J, Ruby Modine, Annie Ilonzeh, Iddo Goldberg, and Jessica Allain. Not a very good trailer, with erratic editing making it extra confusing to know what...

Production on TNT’s “Snowpiercer” has been stopped due to safety concerns involving extremely high temperatures on set (via Deadline). The series was filming in British Columbia, where temperatures frequently reached the mid-90s. Multiple cast and crew members experienced cases of heat exhaustion, and 14 people were reportedly taken to the local hospital for treatment. Soon after, producers made the decision to suspend filming until temperatures became more manageable.
“Out of an abundance of caution, production of ‘Snowpiercer’ wrapped early yesterday and was suspended for today due to extreme heat on location,” said a spokesperson for Tomorrow Studios, which produces the show. “The health and well-being of show cast and crew remains top priority.”
Many were quick to point out the irony of a show about people affected by extreme climate change being shut down over extreme climate change. “Snowpiercer” takes place in a future Ice Age, and the heavy...

“Snowpiercer” is changing showrunners going into the show’s fourth season.
Paul Zbyszewski — whose past credits include “Lost,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” and “Helstrom” — will take the reins of the TNT series from Graeme Manson. Manson famously took over showrunning duties on the drama show after original series creator Josh Friedman and TNT parted ways over “creative differences” before Season 1.
In addition, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” alum Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov are both joining the series in Season 4. The news comes the same day as the Season 3 finale. Production is now underway on Season 4.
“We have been blessed with an abundance of riches in building the world of ‘Snowpiercer’ – from the incredible cast and crew, to the loyal fanbase and the building blocks afforded from the film and graphic novel,” said Manson and executive producer Aubrey Nealon. “Tonight’s finale is the culmination of several storylines, with unexpected twists and turns around every corner,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 9, “A Beacon for Us All.”] Jennifer Connelly’s Melanie Cavill has been assumed dead in Snowpiercer Season 3. After being betrayed by Wilford (Sean Bean) in Season 2, Mel was left to fend for herself in the frozen tundra remnants of Earth. Despite the odds, Layton (Daveed Diggs), her daughter, Alex (Rowan Blanchard), Ruth (Alison Wright), Ben (Iddo Goldberg), Bess (Mickey Sumner), and many Snowpiercer passengers held on to hope that she survived. Layton and his team searched for Mel on a disconnected section of Snowpiercer while Wilford retained control of Big Alice. But months went by, and Mel remained missing. Outside of appearing as a figment of Alex’s imagination, we haven’t seen Connelly. However, that all changed: Episode 8 offered hope for her survival, and she made her big return in the penultimate episode of the season. She survived for six months in a solo train car,...

As the penultimate offering of the season, Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 9 stands out as it doesn't stir the pot as much as it upends the whole damn table.
And talk about plumbing the extremes of emotion.
From Melanie's dramatic return from near-death to her even more dramatic overthrow of the New Eden dream, we prepare for a helluva finale as we sit at the brink of decision on Snowpiercer, one thousand and twenty-nine cars long.
It's always exciting when Snowpiercer reveals a new feature.
The genius of making the train over a thousand cars long is that there are untold resources we have never even glimpsed.
I mean, who imagined that there would be a carnival car before Car 272 was unveiled on Snowpiercer Season 2 Episode 9?
So it really shouldn't be a surprise that they have a crane lift Inside the train that can then swing an entire maintenance vehicle into another train car.

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 9
From the very opening moments of Snowpiercer, it’s clear that the train that couldn’t slow down is in for some big changes. Ben (Iddo Goldberg) talks about how people build their lives around loved ones, and when those loved ones are lost, we lose part of ourselves and turn inward to examine who we are, if we did enough, and where we belong in this new world without that person in our lives. For Ben, that person has been Melanie (Jennifer Connelly), out in the frozen wilderness and presumed dead until signs of her active presence are uncovered. For Melanie, she’s lost everyone she’s ever known, depending on suspension drugs and stimulants to hope against hope that she’ll live long enough for someone, anyone to notice her presence and keep her from becoming just another frozen corpse among 7 billion or so.

Warning: contains spoilers for Peaky Blinders season six episode four ‘Sapphire’.
What a sorrowful hour. Maybe after that, all those Peaky Blinders fans who aspire to be Tommy Shelby will see that beneath the sharp cheekbones and the sharp tailoring there’s nothing to envy. Scrape away the cash and the cars and the power and there’s just pain, grief, and now, a deadline. One year to 18 months. To change the fucking world.
If Dr Holford and the country’s top three brain surgeons are right, Tommy won’t live to see the outbreak of World War II. Tommy also won’t live to see Mr Churchill become prime minister, but if his strategy comes off, he will have helped him neuter the fascist threat in Britain and stop the likes of Mosley and Mitford from rolling out the red carpet in welcome to the German chancellor and his new world order.

Warning: contains spoilers for Peaky Blinders season six episode four ‘Sapphire’.
“It’s a fascinating period in history that they’re moving into,” Sophie Rundle tells Den of Geek about Peaky Blinders season six. “Ada is astute enough and smart enough to see that it’s not a good thing, the world her kids are growing up in.” That’s putting it mildly. In ‘Sapphire’, a brick is thrown through the window of Ada’s Mayfair house. It’s a racist attack targeting Ada’s mixed heritage daughter Elizabeth, the child of Black British Intelligence Officer Colonel Ben Younger, who died in a car bomb attack last season. The brick-throwers hang a Swastika flag outside Ada’s house in an attempt to intimidate her. Ada may be a Thorne by marriage, but she’s a Shelby by nature, and as such, is not easily intimidated.
She goes outside to confront the men with a gun,...
