In 1960, he co-produced a sitcom pilot featuring Joan Davis for NBC called "The Joan Davis Show" about a woman who runs an answering service and manages to get enmeshed in the problems of her clients. The pilot was never picked up.
He wrote a novel entitled "Father Sky", about a military school. It was made into the movie "Taps", with Timothy Hutton and George C. Scott.
