We open on Tom and Julia, literally minutes before curtain for the latest preview performance. They argue over some last-minute lyric changes then dash backstage where stage manager Linda is calling 15 minutes. They ask where “Marilyn” is. To heighten the tension, doncha know. They thrust the new lyrics into Linda's hand imploring her to be sure that Marilyn gets them.
Cut to a Pov shot of “Marilyn” heading to the stage. Various of the company wish her a broken leg and that dreadful Michael Swift tells her she's going to be great. The still-unrevealed Marilyn takes her place on stage.
Timeshift! As if this show doesn't muck with the timelines more than the Doctor already. It's 12 hours earlier and the cabal is onstage, arguing over...
