- The late Peggy Feury was born June 20, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Barnard College, and attended Yale Drama School and the Neighborhood Playhouse. - Closely associated with the 'Method' approach to acting, Peggy became an artistic director and instructor in association with Lee Strasberg at the Actors' Studio. Later she moved to California and opened her own acting school, called The Loft Studio, with husband-actor William Traylor, and became one of Los Angeles' most respected drama teachers. Notable among her students are Lily Tomlin, Sean Penn, Anjelica Huston, Michelle Pfeiffer, Meg Tilly, and Eric Stoltz.
