Langford’S Picks And Pans
Neighbours
I really enjoyed Neighboursthis past week. The crash and the aftermath made for some really strong storytelling and I’m surprised at how prominent Chris has been in the storyline. Frankly, I thought he would only play a minor supporting role in his friends' drama, like he has in much of the time on this show. I never expected Chris to be front and center. I think James Mason has been very good as Chris struggles to deal with what’s happened, though he needs to be a more convincing crier. A few tears might help.
One thing that never changes about this show, however, is that Chris has lousy friends. Both Tash and Summer ragged on Andrew about how selfish he was being, more concerned about his money than Chris’ plight, but neither of them bothered to go with Chris when he went...

In September Dutch public broadcaster Avro will air a new series of the game show Fort Boyard. The show returns after almost 20 years (at that time it was too expensive for Dutch TV). This time teams of celebrities will compete against each other. Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden actors Ruud Feltkamp (Noud Alberts), Ferry Doedens (Lucas Sanders), Mark van Eeuwen (Jack van Houten) and Ferri Somogyi (Rik de Jong) are on one of the teams.
Former Gtst actors Hugo Metsers Jr. (Marcus Sanders) and Inge Ipenburg (Martine Hafkamp) are on other teams.
Fort Boyard is a French game show that has been remade in several countries. It's filmed at the real Fort Boyard in France. This series will premiere on Monday, September 5.

Last night the last episode of Gtst's 21st season aired on RTL4. In the episode Noud (Ruud Feltkamp) and Nina (Marly van der Velden) got married. Wiet (Pip Pellens) couldn't handle that and went to the wedding reception with a gun... Below you can watch the complete episode with English subtitles.
The episode was a ratings success. There were 1.5 million viewers watching. Only the 8 o'clock news had more viewers. It's unusual for the show to have so many viewers in the summer. On Twitter the hashtag '#zomercliffgtst' (summercliffgtst) was the number one trending topic during the whole evening. Several character names were trending topics as well.
The show returns on Monday, September 5.

On July 8 Season 21 of the Dutch soap opera Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden will end with a traditional 'summer cliffhanger'. Every year the show sends its viewers into the summer with a big cliffhanger. The last week of this season revolves around romance, desire and jealousy.
The day has finally arrived: Noud (Ruud Feltkamp) and Nina (Marly van der Velden) are getting married. Nina is clearly stressed out because of the wedding. She fears that small details will ruin her big day. She doesn't realize that Wiet (Pip Pellens) is the real danger to her happiness. Wiet has convinced her sister Sjors (Inge Schrama) that she has accepted that the love of her life Noud is now marrying someone else. But that's not true at all. Secretly she's coming up with a plan to get rid of her rival Nina for good. Without thinking about the consequences, Wiet sets her plan in motion.

Welcome to another edition of Gays of Our Lives. This week in Gool Theater, we’ve got some very good clips from As the World Turns. And yet, the show still managed to annoy me. Am I just picky? Watch for yourself and see. Plus, Good Times, Bad Times (Dutch) starts an intriguing plot arc, Roman risks his life on All That Matters and One Life to Live continues to astound and amaze. Thankfully, it’s in a good way.
Gool Scoops And Spoilers has the dish on the new gay storyline on Emmerdale, Kyle and Oliver each make a commitment to Nick on One Life to Live, but can they keep their promises? Plus, Ravi comes to the defense of his sisters on Hollyoaks, Ian is trapped in a dicey situation on Shameless (U.S.), the kids from Glee make it to Sectionals in the final episode until – gasp!

It’s another jam packed edition of Gays Of Our Lives, with our round the world coverage of everything that’s gay in the world of soap, starting with Gool Theater.
We’ve got several clips you simply do not want to miss including The Young and the Restless where we see the two different looking Adams (including and a romantic scene that has daytime audiences talking!) as well as EastEnders clips of Syed and Christian setting off some serious heat, and Hollyoaks’ bisexual Ravi getting some really bad news.
Gool Scoops And Spoilers gives you all the dish on the latest drama caused by Noah’s homophobic killer dad on As The World Turns and the return of gay characters to Good Times, Bad Times and River City.
Also, find out why a One Life To Live actor was fired over yet another controversy about a gay storyline plus...
