So… the new Apple Vision Pro. Pretty cool right? Well, it’s about to be even more cooler. With the MCU colliding its multiverse with the realms of Apple, a new project titled What If…? – An Immersive Story will be released soon.
As people would have guessed it, the project will be an Apple Vision Pro experience where fans may get to relive What If…?, but in virtual reality. The project also implies that fans have a say in the future of the story and overall, some people are excited about the project. Some, not most, and there’s a $3500 reason for that.

Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler has always said that he'd be more than happy to stay on board the franchise and return to helm a third film, and a new rumor is now claiming that he's signed on to do just that.
However, Marvel Studios might be eyeing the filmmaker for another upcoming MCU project!
According to MyTimeToShineHello, the studio wants Coogler to take the helm of the planned X-Men reboot. This follows a previous rumor that a Poc was being sought for the project, and we have heard that Mufasa: The Lion King director Barry Jenkins may also be on Marvel's radar.
Wakanda Forever served as a fitting tribute to T'Challa and the late Chadwick Boseman while establishing Shuri as the new Panther and introducing an entire aquatic civilization. The mid-credits scene also featured the debut of T'Challa's son, who will almost certainly...

The upcoming Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine is perhaps one of the only films of 2024 that moviegoers are excited about. It is the presumable final film in the Deadpool series and the merger of the Fox-era X-Men and the Marvel Cinematic Universe into one. It is one big love letter to the fans who have been supporting the films for so long. But it almost didn’t happen.
It’s no secret that actor Hugh Jackman has had a love/hate relationship with the role of Logan, aka Wolverine. The actor began playing the character in 2000 with the release of the first X-Men movie and appeared in nine films in both major roles and small cameos. But after so long, he kept saying to himself, “This is the last time”, before eventually returning. The same applies here.

2023 turned out to be disastrous for Disney and for Marvel Studios. Most of their movies flopped, and TV shows were met with mixed reviews at best. Disney concluded its first year in a long time not having a billion-dollar movie, and Marvel Studios concluded the year with ‘The Marvels’ which is officially the lowest-grossing movie in the MCU, and the first movie not to break the $100 million threshold at the domestic box office.
Disney unceremoniously found most of its projects on the list of box-office flops for 2023, which prompted a change in the way the company releases projects. Iger announced that they will be significantly reducing their creative output, releasing 3 movies per year at most, and 2 shows.

Disney and Marvel Studios faced a rough year in 2023, marked by a series of movie flops and lukewarm receptions of their TV shows. For the first time in ages, Disney didn’t have a billion-dollar movie, and Marvel Studios hit a low with ‘The Marvels’ becoming the lowest-grossing MCU film, failing to surpass the $100 million mark domestically.
The disappointing performance led Disney to reevaluate its project releases. CEO Iger revealed plans for significant cuts in creative output, aiming for a maximum of 3 movies and 2 shows per year.
Despite the challenges, Feige and Louis D’Esposito maintain optimism. Speaking to Empire, D’Esposito suggests that remaining on top might hinder their drive to enhance quality, making it the least desirable outcome.
It’s been a rough time. If we just stayed on top, that would have been the worst thing that could have happened to us. We took a little hit, we’re coming back strong.

The evolution of filmmaking spanning the past 50 years has been drastic. An actress as accomplished as Scarlett Johansson would obviously be aware of those changes while picking out potential scripts and sniffing out critical hits. And among all the actors whose films would be worthy of being rebooted or remade, there couldnʼt be a more affluent actor than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Fortunately, Johanssonʼs need to establish herself in her own space rather than gain success by walking in someone elseʼs shadow saved her from falling into the trappings of the remake curse.

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame marked its five-year anniversary on April 30, and composer Alan Silvestri has now explained why he feels one sequence in particular has had such a lasting impact.
We are, of course, referring to the "Portals" scene.
During the climactic battle, Thanos manages to defeat Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America - but Steve Rogers isn't about to stay down. As the Sentinel of Liberty dusts himself off and prepares to fight until his last breath, he hears a familiar "on your left," and turns around to see Black Panther and the others recently-revived heroes assembling through Doctor Strange and Wong's mystical portals.
While speaking to Games Radar, Silvestri said he believes this moment has become so beloved and iconic because of what Rogers had experienced in the build-up.
"The spectacle [of Portals] is ultimately overwhelming, but I think it's emotional because we've never seen every ounce of optimism destroyed in Captain America,...

With two episodes still to go, X-Men ’97 has proven to be one of the best entries from Marvel in recent years, mostly thanks to former showrunner Beau DeMayo’s passion for the material. DeMayo, who was abruptly fired from the show prior to its premiere, has been pretty transparent with the fans about his thought process behind this revival of X-Men: The Animated Series.
Taking to his X account, the writer shared a new clip for the series ahead of Episode 9’s release, as DeMayo made his intentions clear about respecting the source material without pushing his vision too far.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has lost most of its charm after Avengers: Endgame. After most of the Og characters’ story concluded following The Infinity Saga, the Kevin Feige vehicle took a different approach for The Multiverse Saga. Sadly, it did more bad than good. The introduction of the excessive amount of Disney+ Marvel shows and movies brought the MCU to its lowest.

Fortunately, it looks like Marvel Studios has listened to its fans and realized their mistake as the latest comments by Kevin Feige hint at a brighter future for the superhero universe. The MCU boss promised his fans that he would surely return with a bang. He assured that the haters would be proven wrong and the fans would once again get back their glorious Marvel days.

Death is not permanent, not in the Multiversal saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe anyway. Of course, we have mourned the death of the beloved villain turned-hero with a glorious purpose, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki but we got him back with an even more interesting twist— further exploration of the character even without the inherent shadow of his brother, Thor, as depicted in the previous movies in the MCU.

Like Loki’s apparent death, fan-favorite Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man demise was perhaps the saddest part for any MCU fan. There could have always been more from the character but killing him off in the Avengers: Endgame made perfect sense and his death was glorious but with Deadpool & Wolverine, a lot can change.

Zack Snyder is now free of the weight of creating an expansive Dceu and had been doing his own thing for the past couple of years. While the director does not seem to be keen to enter the realm of big studio films anytime soon, Snyder fans would love to see him direct a Marvel flick sometime soon. His unique directorial style, understanding of complex action and emotional depth, and ability to draw out great performances from his cast make him a compelling choice for the job.

While that might not be possible anytime soon, Snyder’s past comments about Hulk do make him a good choice to direct a standalone Hulk movie in the future.

There's only two more episodes of X-Men '97 to go, and Marvel Studios has released a clip from tomorrow's penultimate season 1 chapter, "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 2."
The preview finds our mutant heroes suiting-up in new costumes for their impending battle with Bastion and his forces.
The outfits are a mixture of the team's classic looks, and the costumes they wore in the pages of The Uncanny X-Men. The clip also sees Jubilee burn Roberto DaCosta's business card, so Sunspot must have decided not to join the fight.
Former showrunner Beau DeMayo hinted at the costume change when he shared the unused pilot for Pryde of the X-Men earlier today.
DeMayo was also asked if he's ever heard any talk of adding Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat to the X-Men '97 roster.
"I haven’t, but my suspicion is Jubilee and Kitty slightly compete in terms of their age and Pov on the team.

Earlier today, Disney CEO Bob Iger outlines plans to reduce Marvel Studios' film and TV output over the next few years. This is part of a "quality over quantity" approach, which was implemented after several recent MCU projects underperformed.
In fact, the most recent big-screen release, The Marvels, ended up becoming the lowest-grossing MCU movie of all time after taking in just $206 million worldwide at the end of its theatrical run.
While speaking to Empire, studio heads Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito acknowledged that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been going through a "rough time," but they both believe that this year's Deadpool and Wolverine will mark a turning point for the franchise.

Marvel Studios Co-President Louis D’Esposito and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige are addressing the rough patch the studio has been through over the last few years.

D’Esposito is talking about “superhero fatigue,” which Disney CEO Bob Iger acknowledged in today’s earnings call. The plan going forward with Marvel Studios is to release “two good films” a year, possibly three, and cut the number of TV series spinoffs.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe was on the top of its game for so long that it seemed as though it always would be, but following the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, the franchise has stumbled and even released a couple of box-office bombs. Louis D’Esposito, co-president of Marvel Studios, is well aware that the franchise has been struggling, particularly in 2023, as he told Empire, “It’s been a rough time.“

Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito admitted to Empire magazine that “it’s been a rough time” for the Marvel Cinematic Universe following a rocky 2023 that included box office flops “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “The Marvels.” The latter title is the lowest-grossing MCU movie of all time with just $206 million worldwide. Marvel didn’t fare better on television, where series such as “Secret Invasion” were widely panned by critics.

Deadpool & Wolverine may still be a couple of months away, but Marvel Studios has been pulling out all the stops in recent weeks to build excitement for the highly anticipated team-up.
Entertainment Weekly is the latest outlet to sit down with director Shawn Levy and managed to get a few new details out of the filmmaker regarding his approach to what's looking like a long list of cameos.
"I'll say we didn't start off with a wishlist," he admits. "From the day we started devising this Deadpool and Wolverine story, we let the story dictate the characters, not the other way around. Aaron and his return as Pyro was an outgrowth of that, and that applies to pretty much all the characters you'll see in the movie."
This might be a sign to temper expectations, particularly when it comes to some of the wilder rumours out there about who...

The fact that there was going to be a Blade reboot as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe came as a huge surprise when the announcement was made at the San Diego Comic-Con back in July of 2019 – but all these years later, we’re still waiting on the film to make its way into production. In fact, with Bob Iger recently announcing that the studio was cutting back (even more) on Marvel stuff, Blade’s future seems in limbo. So, here’s Everything We Know About Blade.
Mahershala Ali
The Blade character was previously played by Wesley Snipes in three feature films and by Sticky Fingaz in a short-lived television series. This time around, he’s going to be played by Mahershala Ali, who was already attached to the project when it was announced in 2019… and while there was no indication online that Ali has been interested in playing Blade,...

There are many remarkable things about Deadpool & Wolverine. For one, it marks the MCU’s first serious foray into formerly Fox-owned mutant territory. It’s certainly the first Marvel movie ever to, um, feature gags about pegging. But even more notable than either of those things, it’s the only Marvel Studios film set to arrive in cinemas in 2024 full-stop. Post-pandemic – and in the wake of the box office-sweeping high of Avengers: Endgame – Marvel has struggled to reach audiences on a scale it used to, with recent films like Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels seriously underperforming. Factor in the overwhelming volume of Marvel stories that have been in the works across cinematic releases and streaming series, and the powers that be declared a rethink.
That included dialling down the number of Marvel projects for audiences to digest – hence, Deadpool & Wolverine is the only MCU movie to land this year.

Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t what it used to be anymore. From failing movies to cringe scenes (just look at Thor: Love and Thunder), the MCU is suffering through the effects of post-Endgame clarity.
Disney’s current CEO, Bob Iger, recently unveiled a new plan for the Marvel Cinematic Universe which seems good (at first). However, it is the majority opinion of the people that this new plan isn’t going to work.
Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris in The Marvels
Marvel Studios Isn’t What It Used To Be
Maybe it is a bold statement, or a rude one, but all things considered, there is quite a noticeable difference observed in the MCU before Avengers: Endgame and the MCU today. Releasing movies like selling cotton candies at a fair, the MCU simply had a lot on its plate (not even counting the TV shows).

Up until now, many just assumed that “Deadpool 3,” aka “Deadpool & Wolverine,” was always going to be a team-up story with the two massively popular heroes. Well, apparently that wasn’t the case. And if Hugh Jackman hadn’t had an “epiphany,” fans might have been left with a very different superhero sequel.

Robert Downey Jr. has been instrumental in building the MCU and making it what it is today. Downey Jr.’s Iron Man was the first character that Marvel Studios kicked off within their planned cinematic universe. The character became the leader of the Avengers and also dealt with some personal issues and complexities within him in his solo films as well.
A soldier insists on taking a picture with Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in Iron Man
One of the trademark actions of Tony Stark is his frequent use of the peace sign in different films. In the first Iron Man, a soldier who’s protecting him does the same pose while trying to take a photo together with Stark. However, the soldier died saving him and there has been an ongoing discourse that Tony frequently does the now-iconic move to honor the fallen soldier.

With so many high-profile MCU projects on the way, it's no wonder that so many rumours are doing the rounds regarding Marvel Studios' plans. Today, we have another roundup for you, and we're kicking things off with a big Marvel Animation update.
According to @CanWeGetToast, the upcoming Marvel Zombies TV show will feature "Infinity Hulk," an even more powerful Variant of the Green Goliath imagined in the same vein as What If...?'s Infinity Ultron and Infinity Killmonger.
The Hulk is near-unstoppable as is, so giving him the Infinity Stones should result in a spin on the character fans can have fun with.
We also have news on X-Men '97. Daniel Richtman reiterates recent reports that Marvel Studios is keen to make as many episodes as possible of the X-Men: The Animated Series revival, producing them back-to-back to avoid a lengthy wait between seasons.

It is official. Marvel is releasing fewer movies and TV shows in the future.
The move was threatened (promised?) by head honcho Kevin Feige early last year, saying the studio would slow down and space out the Disney+ shows during Phases 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now things are even more serious as Disney CEO Bob Iger, the man who refuses to retire or to acknowledge unions in a timely matter and who gobbles up franchises and studios like Galactus, promised to shrink the MCU. Under the new directive, Marvel will decrease volume and "go to probably about two TV series a year instead of what had become four and reduce our film output from maybe four a year to two, or a maximum of three," Iger said during the company's quarterly earnings call, according to Variety.

Logan won't be the only one showing off his claws in Deadpool & Wolverine because the movie is also set to introduce a unique Wade Wilson Variant: Dogpool.
While it's still unclear whether she's the Merc with the Mouth's pet or hails from another reality (which is the case in the comic books) remains to be seen, Ryan Reynolds tells Empire Online, "It’s love at first sight. [Wade] loves Dogpool."
"The reason why I was a huge proponent for her was because she feels like the animal manifestation of Wade Wilson," the actor continues. "It was, just like many things during the writing process, a tiny little afterthought, and it grew. It was one of those things where you just keep listening to the movie, and Dogpool became a staple."
"Dogpool’s a Pool, so probably has some moral flexibility about where she wees and poops," Reynolds concludes.

Deadpool & Wolverine Cast ‘Britain’s Ugliest Dog’ As Dogpool: ‘It’s Love At First Sight’ – Exclusive
What’s hairy, has sharp claws, and is about to crash into Deadpool’s life and change it forever? No, it’s not Wolverine. Get ready to meet Dogpool, Wade Wilson’s new four-legged friend, set to be the breakout of this summer’s Deadpool & Wolverine. Like her human counterpart, she has an… unconventional look. And a taste for chaos. And, most importantly, that iconic red and black outfit. Needless to say, they instantly find a kinship. “It’s love at first sight,” Ryan Reynolds tells Empire in the new issue. “He loves Dogpool.”
Since Deadpool & Wolverine shot in London, the dog behind the ‘pool is a bit of homegrown talent – a pup with a particular reputation. “Her real name is Peggy, and she won the award for Britain’s Ugliest Dog,” says Reynolds. “The reason why I was a huge proponent for her was because she feels like the animal manifestation of Wade Wilson.

There have been a million thinkpieces about the current state of Marvel Studios. Is Kevin Feige’s record-breaking studio in trouble? Will Bob Iger force the studio to cut down on the number of projects? Do audiences even care anymore? Well, we don’t have real answers about any of that, other than to say things are definitely not as rosy as they were when “Avengers: Endgame” was destroying the box office in 2019.

Marvel has a slew of upcoming projects slated for release in the coming years, many of which have been stalled due to the unprecedented SAG-AFTRA strike that halted the entire industry, resulting in numerous delays and cancellations.
One highly anticipated Marvel Studios project, ‘Blade,’ faced challenges long before the strikes began. It’s an MCU film centered around Eric Brooks, the iconic vampire hunter from comics, serving as a reboot of the beloved ‘Blade’ trilogy that played a pivotal role in shaping the MCU as we know it today.
The production of ‘Blade’ has encountered multiple rewrites and delays, stretching out the timeline considerably from its originally planned 2023 release. There are even reports suggesting that the main actor is reconsidering their role. Marvel has plenty of projects bound to be released in the next few years, and we know that most of these projects have been stuck in a sort of limbo due to the historic SAG-AFTRA strike that paralyzed the whole industry as a whole, causing plenty of projects to be both delayed or altogether canceled.
One extremely anticipated Marvel Studios project that had problems way before the strikes began is ‘Blade.’ It is an McU-based movie following Eric Brooks, the most notable vampire hunter in comics, and a reboot of the already highly popular ‘Blade’ trilogy that contributed to paving the way for the MCU that we know today.
We know that ‘Blade’ production has faced numerous rewrites and delays, and for a movie that was supposed to be released back in 2023, it sure is taking a really long time, with even the main actor, according to some reports, reconsidering his role.

Ben Affleck has been one of the most prolific actors in Hollywood, and he has also made a mark as an acclaimed filmmaker. Having his breakthrough with the Oscar-winning drama Good Will Hunting, which he co-wrote with Matt Damon, Affleck rose to worldwide stardom as he headlined blockbusters and became a slough-after actor.
Affleck’s tryst with the superhero genre has been bittersweet. While his role as Daredevil has been regarded as cheesy, with the actor himself considering it a mistake, his role as Batman in the Dceu has been divisive. Now, the actor is rumored to be in the running for Doctor Doom in the MCU, which fans seem to be completely against.

The rumour mill continues churning out possible Deadpool & Wolverine cameos and, if we're not careful, disappointment will soon follow.
While the upcoming threequel is bound to feature some massive surprises, we've already seen what happens when fans set their expectations too high. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness included appearances from Professor X, Black Bolt, and Mister Fantastic, but even that wasn't enough for those who went in hoping to see Spider-Man and Tom Cruise!
Dafne Keen played X-23 in 2017's Logan and there have been rumblings for a while now that she'll suit up and reprise the role in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Asked about that in a recent interview, The Acolyte star chose her words carefully. "I mean...I can’t wait. The trailer looked incredible!" Keen responded, largely dodging the question. "This is all really crazy and I’m looking forward to seeing it."

New footage for Deadpool & Wolverine has hit the web, thanks to an IMAX exclusive trailer, which seemingly draws a connection to Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2. Set to be the next major leap in MCU’s multiversal saga, it’s safe to assume that the upcoming threequel will feature a plethora of cameos and homages to other Marvel properties under Disney’s umbrella.
While it’ll be interesting to see if Tobey Maguire will end up being one of the major Marvel stars to appear in Deadpool 3, the new trailer does seem to incorporate reference to his iconic trilogy.

If there's any Marvel Cinematic Universe movie that can stand on its own two legs as a complete story, it's "Captain America: The First Avenger." Well, excluding the prologue and the epilogue, which show the frozen Steve Rogers being discovered in the Arctic and then waking up in modern-day New York City, respectively. The prologue lets you know ahead of time that Cap's sacrifice in the third act won't be fatal, while the ending is pure sequel bait.
"Captain America" is definitely not the most monumental MCU movie, but it's one of the most enjoyable. The MCU clearly takes its cues from the blockbusters of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige's youth — from "Star Wars" to "Raiders of the Lost Ark." "Captain America" is one of the few that feels like a pulpy, earnest Spielberg adventure movie. It makes sense since director Joe Johnston is budget Spielberg; he directed "Jurassic Park 3...

A new Deadpool & Wolverine IMAX trailer is currently playing in theaters and a must-see clip from that has found its way online this evening.
First, we see Wolverine telling Wade to put his mask back on while they grab a bite. The Merc with the Mouth points out that it's hard to eat while wearing it, leaving Logan to counter by bluntly stating it's harder for him to keep his food down while the Merc with the Mouth has it off.
We later see the title characters approach Giant-Man's massive skeleton, prompting Deadpool to say it looks like Paul Rudd has finally aged.
It's a fun meta-joke and a reference to the fact the Ant-Man star notoriously doesn't seem to grow older as the years go by. Whether this joke will make the final cut remains to be seen, particularly as gags like these are sometimes only used in trailers.

Is Marvel combatting superhero fatigue by incorporating aspects of classic cinema? Not yet apparently, but Ryan Reynolds seemed very interested in doing so at one point. Speaking to Empire for a cover feature on “Deadpool & Wolverine” in next week’s issue, Reynolds told them his first pitch to Kevin Feige for the film was a “‘Rashomon’ story about Wolverine and Deadpool and something that they got into together, but told from three completely different perspectives.”
For context, “Rashomon” is a 1950 Jidaigeki drama from Akira Kurosawa that was the first Japanese film to receive international acclaim, winning the Golden Lion at the 1951 Venice Film Festival, as well as an Honorary Oscar in 1952. The film tells the story of how a samurai was murdered, multiple times through multiple vantage points. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ movie stands out as a pivotal MCU release for numerous reasons. Anticipation is soaring as it marks Deadpool’s entry into the MCU, promises the inclusion of Wolverine and a plethora of cameos, and notably, it’s the MCU’s inaugural “R” rated venture.

Ryan seemed to want to make a big movie in a small way, but Feige didn’t think it would work out.
