Ferrar's executive assistant isn't on the list of those invited to meet the new corporate bosses, which everyone knows means he's a dead employee walking. Things are looking darkest just as his loving wife is bringing news of a baby on the way. The show builds up a terrific critique of anxiety in the Rat Race, but then... Title: The Lords of Salem Director: Rob Zombie Starring: Sheri Moon Zombie, Bruce Davison, Ken Foree, Patricia Quinn, Dee Wallace, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Maria Conchita Alonso, Judy Geeson, Meg Foster, Richard Fancy, Sid Haig Rocker-turned-writer-director Rob Zombie has, in a fairly interesting and definitely surprising manner, carved out a certain multi-media genre niche for himself, spinning off horrific visions both original (“The Devil’s Rejects”) and adapted (his “Halloween” remakes). His latest film in some ways seems like a no-brainer, the type of easy-fit movie Zombie (who’s devoted to to making a period piece hockey tale as his next film) could churn out every 18 months or so if he desired. From the singular mind of horror maestro Rob Zombie comes a chilling plunge into a nightmare world where evil runs in the blood. The Lords of Salem tells the tale of Heidi (Sheri Moon Zombie), a radio station DJ living in Salem, Massachusetts, who receives a strange wooden box containing a record, a “gift from the Lords.” Heidi listens, and the bizarre sounds within the grooves immediately trigger flashbacks of the town’s violent past. Is Heidi going mad, or are the “Lords of Salem” returning for revenge on modern-day Salem?
Recently, I sat down with writer/director Rob Zombie to talk with him about the film. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is one of the nicest people that I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing. Check it out below.

You can’t crush a man’s dreams, even if they are only to be the best air drummer in the world. That’s the premise in this Rocky-meets-Napoleon-Dynamite picture written and directed by and starring Ari Gold as the titular Power. He looks like a dorky Spike Jonze with a Members Only jacket and a perpetual sweatband. For some inexplicable reason they refuse to begin the film’s title with some sort of definite article. I assume they were going for a play on words, but that feels a little high-minded for this film. This movie is so chock full of quirk that none of the characters are even remotely believable. It’s geared towards the youth – kids and teens who thought the aforementioned Dynamite was hilarious and quoted it incessantly. It is also, a very clean film. The raciest thing in the entire film is the back of...

SAG's filing deadline for fall elections came and went Thursday, and it remains unclear who will face each other for the presidency. Only Unite for Strength, formed last year in opposition to the MembershipFirst faction led by SAG president Alan Rosenberg, has gone public with its complete slate.
Ken Howard will lead the charge as Unite for Strength's candidate for president, and Amy Aquino will run for secretary-treasurer. Unite for Strength also will field 33 candidates from the guild's Hollywood Division for seats on the national board of directors.
Months ago, Rosenberg stated provisionally that he will seek a third term, but first national vp Anne-Marie Johnson or another candidate could heed the call to represent MembershipFirst in the elections.
On the eve of MembershipFirst announcing its slate Sunday during a scheduled fundraiser, the Unite for Strength candidates took direct aim at and issue with their political opponents of the past year.
