On 13 February 2009, Reg was confirmed as having been killed in the Kinglake
series of fires.
He lived in the bush, over 50 kilometres outside of Melbourne, in a
mudbrick house he built himself.
While in England, he saw the stage production of The Summer of The
Seventeenth Doll, by the Australian playwright Ray Lawlor and was so
greatly influenced he wanted to move to Australia.
In 1957, he migrated to Australia on the post-World War II 10 pound
migration scheme.
Died during the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria on February 7, 2009.
