- In my workplace, there's a lot of bottom-slapping, but that's just the industry that we're in. We're actors, I think you need to feel out a situation.
- Of course, straight away I said, 'Absolutely'. It's such a common cancer within women and men, so I wanted to tackle it and I thought it was an important issue. Afterwards, the team decided to plot it and write the story from there.
- I love my job and I'm very honoured. I pinch myself every day over how lucky I am to have full-time work, with a fabulous crew and cast and a great character who's always fun to play.
- On paper they're very well-suited towards each other, but I think Terese has always been reluctant. There's no denying that they're madly in love with each other, but I don't think Terese would ever commit to Paul because she's just terrified that he will break her heart - or he'll be the death of her.
- I honestly do hope so! When I signed up, I thought: 'Oh gosh, I could only do a year'. But that was mostly because I was based with my family in Sydney and it was the thought of moving down to Melbourne.
- We said that for years - we said that for so long! We were the ones going to the producers and saying: 'No, don't put them together, people will get really bored!'
- Now, seven years later, my husband and my son live down here, we've bought a house and we can't imagine living back up in Sydney.
- But at this stage, I am definitely 100% committed to the show and really couldn't see myself doing anything else at this stage. I really do love it and they're all magnificent to work with.
- We're still really adamant that they don't get together! It's a weird one, because from the day that Terese first stepped foot in Erinsborough, there has always been that incredible connection between her and Paul. They have strong personalities and they're very similar.
- When the producers did sit me down, they told me they wanted to be as true to the issue as we could. Timing-wise with a soap, obviously it has to be fast-tracked and that's just the way television works unfortunately, but we wanted it to be as real as possible. That was the one thing they were very adamant about when they sat me down, so that was great.
- My little boy calls her 'his sister', which is really cute. I really feel like she's a part of me. When we were auditioning for the role of Piper, I had to read with quite a few young actresses. I had no connection with any of them, but the moment Mavournee walked in, I just grabbed her and thought, 'Yep, you're the one'.
