"A friend of the forest is a friend of the sprites." Well aren't these little mushrooms so cute! Wait, no, they're evil! Sprite Night is a fun horror comedy animated short film made by Blender Studios, the creative corner of the 3D software company Blender. It's written and directed by former Pixar Story Supervisor Matthew Luhn - a story expert with almost 30 years of experience in Hollywood. When a group of teenagers trek into an isolated forest, they discover a pack of peaceful mushroom creatures that turn out to be a killer force of nature. "A horror-comedy inspired by Eighties' classics like Gremlins, the American Werewolf films and the more recent Shaun of the Dead." This features the voices of Valerie Lapointe as Ellie, Gabriel Bisset-Smith as Rex, Nicole Davis as Victoria, Homer Todiwala as Jay, Ed Kear as Phil, and Eric Peterson as the Elder Sprite. With songs by David Drury and Phil Peterson.

Sometimes you chase a dream and sometimes you chase an obsession. The dream can be an illusion and the obsession can disappear in the breeze of reality. “Tokyo Idols” portrays the dream of nearly 10000 teenage girls in Japan who consider themselves as “idols” and perform to entertain their fans. The majority of those “fan-base” are formed by middle aged people (mostly between 40 – 50 years) and their obsessions for these teen aged idols. The docu-drama tries to bring out the life and career of these idol girls through a completely different and complex sexual perspective, touching the socio-economic life in Japan in an introspective manner.

Sam Strike's first TV role since leaving EastEnders has been revealed by BBC One.
The former soap star will appear in the upcoming 19th series of Silent Witness opposite Emilia Fox in a guest role.
He will play David Hamilton, the son of Tony (Dean Andrews) and Lydia (Geraldine Somerville). David has held his family together while his father was in prison, and has sacrificed going to university to look after his parents following a family tragedy.
Strike said of his role: 'I'm a fan of Silent Witness, so when the opportunity arose to be a part of it, I jumped at the chance.
"I really admire David Drury as a director, so to work with him is very exciting. It's always great to play a character outside of your comfort zone, especially on a platform as successful as Silent Witness."
