Was out of work for almost a year so to stave off depression she joined
the Sydney Philarmonic Choir.
When informed of acceptance for her role of Pippa in Home and Away (1988), she was
working as a singer in a six piece accappella group called The
Madrigals.
Educated at Sydney University and after graduating went on to a masters
degree in English Literature.
Her roles in theatre and on screen included parts in Who's Afraid of
Virginia Woolf, The Threepenny Opera and Sons and Daughters (1982).
At the age of 14 joined the Australian Theatre for Young People.
Vanessa splits her time between her law career and her acting career with mostly roles in theatre.
