- To combat the lingering "Pretty Woman" motion picture portrayal of Beverly Hills merchants as being snooty and rude and both to help lure shoppers back to the nation's ritziest stores and end an economic slump that hit after September 11, 2001, he was recruited to be the official greeter of the exclusive 2 Rodeo Italian cobblestone retail district and subsequently hired by the city to be its Ambassador.
- His traditional ambassador's outfit consists of a black silk top hat covering his Jose Eber haircut, $600 Gianfranco Ferre sunglasses, a $6,000 made-to-measure Brioni jacket, red coachman coat from Sulka, a Tiffany & Co. gold badge, white gloves, black pants, and Bally (sometimes Cole-Haan) shoes.
- A self-proclaimed amateur linguist, he can greet people in over 100 languages.
- In the early '90s, he was Bob Hope's personal valet at the comedian's Toluca Lake estates.
- As the world's only walking concierge, he can be found greeting tourists at the intersection of Dayton Way and N. Rodeo Drive on a cobble street called Via Rodeo Dr in Beverly Hills, California from Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (June 2005)
