Saturday’s show opened with much excitement as superstar Salman Khan would be gracing the stage of Jhalak once again. Before Salman’s entry, host Manish lost his watch, and host Ranvir lost his glasses! Then Salman entered the show and performed on the super hit Kick song (which has music by Himesh Reshammiya), ‘Jumme Ki Raat’. Salman was warmly welcomed by the hosts, contestants and judges. Salman also returned host Manish’s watch.
Next, it was time to get back to business, and find out the two contestants that would be in this week’s face-off. We are back with another look at what happened on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa! This week’s show opened with the international judge Maksim Chmerkovskiy dancing to the song ‘Criminal’ from Ra One. The audience really loved his performance, as it was the first time Maksim had danced solo on the show.
Host Ranvir, then tricked the contestants into a “pass the parcel” game, by throwing them a mirror ball and saying that whoever caught the ball, would go directly into the face-off. But judge Karan Johar used his “jhoothameter” and said that Ranvir was fooling around, the mirror ball would say who was safe from the eliminations.
This week’s theme was Made in India which meant the contestants would be performing on dance styles that originated from India.
Actor Ashish Sharma & his choreographer Shampa were the first to perform. They danced on the song ‘Har Kisi Ko Nahin Milta’ from the film Boss.

Released in the UK - including the Coventry Odeon - and worldwide on August 12 is Reliance Entertainment's new socio-political drama Aarakshan.
It's based on the controversial Indian policies of caste-based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions.
The film debuts just ahead of India's Independence Day on August 15, a celebration of the time the country separated from British rule and became a sovereign nation in 1947. Aarakshan clearly aims to get viewers thinking about India's progress since that momentous event.
From the makers of Raajneeti, one of the top-grossing Indian films of 2010, and based on real life events, Aarakshan is directed by award-winning filmmaker Prakash Jha, who promises to lift the lid on "the corruption and caste discrimination rife in India's political and educational system."
It stars veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan (pictured above; Black, Zanjeer, Sholay). Appearing alongside him are Saif Ali Khan (Dil Chahta Hai, Omkara, Kurbaan), starlet Deepika Padukone (Om Shanti Om,...
