Actress Kangana Ranaut was seen posing with Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and son-in-law Nupur Shikhare’s wedding reception after calling the Bollywood star “bechara”. Kangana on Saturday took to her Instagram stories, where she posted a picture posing with the star and his family.
She was seen posing with Ira and Aamir’s first wife, Reena Dutta. Aamir was also seen posing for the paparazzi in the same frame.
It was last year, when Kangana tagged Aamir “bechara” (poor thing) after he praised her at the book launch of writer Shobhaa De.
Aamir was asked who would play her well if a biopic was ever made on her. Aamir took the names of Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt. Shobhaa, however, reminded him of Kangana.
Kangana then took to Twitter, where she wrote: “Bechara Aamir Khan … ha ha he tried his best to pretend like he doesn...

After Kangana Ranaut called herself a “victim of capitalism” and bid adieu to the “airport look,” author Shobhaa De hailed the Bollywood actress for exposing the fashion industry.
De also said that it is about time a star spoke up against the “nonsense” airport look.
De tweeted: “About time a star spoke up and debunked the ‘airport look’ nonsense. Thanks for frankly exposing the pressure exerted by foreign brands exploiting desi insecurity at the expense of our crafts communities.”
Kangana on Friday took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a slew of pictures from her airport.
She took the credit for starting the trend of the airport look in India. She shared a string of airport looks and captioned the picture slide: “Only person to blame for starting the stupid trend of airport looks.”

Actress Kangana Ranaut trolled Aamir Khan even after he praised her at an event with author Shobha De. She called the superstar “bechara” and that he tried his best to “pretend” like he doesn’t know that “I am the only three times national award-winning actress.”
At the book launch of writer Shobhaa De, Aamir was asked which crop of actors is fit to play her in her biopic.
He said Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt. However, Shobhaa asked him about Kangana.
“Yea, she would do it well as well. Kangana would do it well. She is a strong actor, she’s very versatile,” he said.
Kangana, however, thought that Aamir tried his best not to take her name.

OTTInterviews of key people like Sidhartha Vijay Mallya, Shobha De add little value to giving any insights to the subject of the episode.Pooja PrasannaScreenshot/NetflixNetflix has been building up Bad Boy Billionaires as an "investigative docu series" and has run into several controversies and legal entanglements. Among the 'bad boys' featured is liquor baron Vijay Mallya, who is currently absconding from India. Suitably, the episode is titled The King of Good Times and is directed by Dylan Mohan Gray. The King opens with one of Mallya's extravagant parties with high profile guests extolling his generosity and passion for all things grand. This sets the theme for the rest of the episode. Footage from his lavish parties go on to establish how his glamorous guests adored Mallya. But the pomp, as we go on to realise, wasn't incidental but deliberate. The documentary does a fine job of capturing the early...

Columnist Shobha De was caught with her foot in the mouth and that didn’t seem to work out the right way. Over the years, the celebrity author has been involved in several goof ups and misappropriate comments but the latest one has ended up being a sorry statement! Recently, Shobha De tried to poke fun at a Mumbai Police constable who was on duty during the Bombay Municipal Corporation elections. She tweeted saying, “Heavy police Bandobast in Mumbai today!” She tried fat shaming the cop but that didn’t go with the twitteratis and the Mumbai Police. In a reply, the Mumbai Police, which is highly popular for its witty banter on social media replied saying, “We love puns too but this one is totally misplaced. We expect better from responsible citizens like you.” The twitteratis were really happy with the response. Some citizens criticized De for fat-shaming the...

Last evening, Badminton star Pv Sindhu stormed into the finals after giving a smashing performance on court defeating Japan's Nozomi Okuhara 21-19, 21-10 in the semifinals. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is religiously following Olympics 2016 and tweeting his heart out in support of our Indian athletes. When Pv Sindhu reached finals, Indians were in the celebratory mode. Amitabh Bachchan too joined the bandwagon and well, he was nothing short of witty. Readers may recall that Shobhaa De received flak over her comment that read, "Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity." So, Mr. Bachchan congratulated Pursala Sindhu on her win and took a dig at Shobhaa De with some witty tweets. He wrote, "Never ever underestimate power of female gender ! #PVSindhu you have destroyed so many 'naysayers' .. you are the Pride of India!#PVSindhu .. aap "khaali haath" nahein,...

Noted writer cum columnist Shobhaa De, who is mostly known for her 'acidic' tweets, has got herself once again in a controversy after she tweeted about the Indian players at the ongoing Olympic Games in Rio. For the uninitiated, Shobhaa De took a dig at all the Indian players at the Olympics by tweeting "Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity." Needless to say that the aforementioned tweet did not go well with almost everyone, which also included the singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya. He replied to Shobhaa De's tweet by stating "Unstoppable shameless #besharam budia's .. abusing and cursing their own motherland, own children, own talents .." It was this tweet of Abhijeet Bhattacharya that made Sonam Kapoor give her piece of mind to him. She tweeted "You're such a hypocrite.." Not the one to keep quiet,...

By hitting out at his son, Shobhaa De has hurt Shekhar Suman very badly. In her column she has lashed out at Adhyayan Suman for speaking about the physical, verbal and emotional abuse he allegedly suffered during his relationship with Kangna Ranaut. Taking a deep breath Shekhar Suman says, "I've always been an admirer of Shobhaa De's columns. She normally talks so much sense and she's so non-partisan in her comments. What has happened to her now?! She has hit out at my son for speaking out about the trauma that he suffered when he was in the relationship with Kangna Ranaut. Ms De thinks my son is being a cry-baby for talking about how he was physically abused. But I think it takes a man a lot of guts to speak about being pushed around by a woman." Shekhar is also baffled by Shobhaa De's logic regarding abuse in a relationship.

Right from Shah Rukh Khan's statement on intolerance, followed by bashing of Aamir Khan on the same, reactions and words spoken by celebrities have found their way to news columns frequently last year. And now what comes next is yet another controversy on similar lines now sparked by Karan Johar during a literature fest recently held in Jaipur. The filmmaker without mincing words recently spoke his heart out at the meet that was held at the Jaipur literature fest amidst the presence of author-writer Shobha De. During his interaction with the students and others, he mentioned that revealing anything about one's personal life can lead one to jail and that he finds the concept of freedom of expression a joke. He said, "Revealing in today's times can land you in jail. We're in a tough country to speak about your personal life and I feel really sad about it.

India’s ‘Fashion Guru’, Prasad Bidapa, talks to Sarah Khan about his fascinating tryst with the modeling and entertainment industries in this exclusive interview given to BollySpice. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
You are known as the ‘fashion guru’ of India. Could you please let us know when and how your journey began into the fashion world?
At 17, in a bid to earn some pocket money while in St. Joseph’s College, I started doing fashion shows for Jyoti Nivas & Mt. Carmel College in Bengaluru City. I used to earn the princely sum of Rs.300 for a show, which went a long way then. We had a lot of fun doing these shows, and it set the stage for what would come later.
How was your life before you made it big in the Indian fashion industry? What kept you occupied?

Watching Dharmendra in Second Hand Husband left me shaken and shocked. I was not able to review the movie, simply because there was nothing in the movie to write that was in anyway imaginative or worthy of this being called a motion picture. What stunned me into disbelief was the fact that Dharmendra was being ridiculed on screen.
Do we blame the director or the actor for picking up a role like this? When I mentioned this to an actor from the industry and my plight on the review, he responded, "What can be so worse than to have a film so wretched that it's not even worth a review."
Those few lines summed up the movie for me. Die-hard Dharam fans will vouch for the fact that he was better than even Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand during his prime years. Why this now? I'm sure he can stay...

While Tyra Banks and Vogue have earned a lot of praise for their stance on healthy body weights for models, it appears that not everyone feels the same way. Former Miss World and Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai is under fire from some of India's media over her weight issues.
Rai, who had her first child in Nov. 2011, appears to be holding on to much of her baby weight. It is this that has drawn criticism from many. One such example is in a video posted on YouTube which shows before and after pictures of Rai.
The video's narrator says Rai is "looking rather plump." She adds that "rather than losing her flab after the baby's delivery...[she] shockingly put on at least five to six kilos."
Sydney Morning Herald show business columnist Shobhaa De explains the reason people respond as such is, "Aishwarya is like a goddess. She is held up...

In Sudipto Chattopadhyay's next film Shobhana 7 Nights, Raveena Tandon is all set to play a role modeled on famous Indian author and socialite Shobhaa De. However, the film's makers insist that the only similarity between Raveena's character and Shobhaa De is that she is a beautiful and glamorous novelist, the rest of the premise is very different.
The film will also show Shobhaa De's long term professional relationship with the publisher of her novels David Davidhar of Penguin India. Anupam Kher has been cast to play the role based on publisher David Davidhar.
In the film, Raveena plays a married novelist who is in a relationship with a much younger boy, played by model-actor Amit Purohit. The film also stars Rohit Roy as Raveena's philandering husband.
