Some might think a story about a group of discarded baby turtles who turn into kick-ass fighting ninjas might be a bit of a stretch. After all, turtles, by all accounts, are slow, so how could one ever believe they could figure out how to use nunchaku? However, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird proved that this idea is actually brilliant with the creation of their insanely popular comic about four turtles who master the art of ninjutsu and use their fighting techniques to keep New York City streets safe. Since the release of the first comic book in 1984, Donnie, Raph, Mikey, and Leo have become pop culture icons, and their story has endured through multiple generations of children. Fans have seen everything from very good television adaptations to extremely questionable movie adaptations, but perhaps one of the most memorable iterations of the Turtles came in...

On Monday (Nov. 28), the Season 3 winners of "The Sing-Off" were announced.
It wasn't much of a surprise -- Pentatonix have been the front-runner for several weeks now. Though both were "on the edge of glory" tonight, as Nick Lachey said, Pentatonix won! Members of the group dropped out of school in the hopes of winning the $200,000 Sony recording contract, so they were probably beyond relieved when Lachey called their names.
Though they took the stage first, it was a big night for all three finalists.
Pentatonix was featured first. They had chosen to dedicate some time this week to the Los Angeles based charity The Trevor Project, which combats teen bullying and gives bullied teens a place to turn when they're troubled. After their package, they took the stage, singing David Guetta's "Without You." Ben Folds commended them on their "butt-shaking bass" singers.

Courtney Love said she will be reconciled with her daughter by August. The Hole singer fell out with 17-year-old Frances - her child with legendary Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain - last year, with the moving out of their home to live with her late father's mother, Wendy O'Connor, and sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, getting a restraining order against her parent. Courtney said Frances has now told California child services "she wants to come home," and that she is sorry their split became so bitter, adding: "I should have never gotten mad at her. I love her so much." She added she expects them to be back together no later than Frances' 18th birthday in August, when she becomes a legal...

Courtney Love claims her estranged daughter has no confidence in her comeback. The 45-year-old rocker is about to return to the music scene with new album 'Nobody's Daughter' but received very little support from 17-year-old Frances Bean, who she lost custody of in December. Courtney - the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - told Spin magazine: "One time, Frances was being mean and said, 'What are you going to do if the record fails?' Well, Frances, it can't fail because I love it, and I've worked really hard to make sure that I love it." Courtney is currently embroiled in a custody battle over Frances, who is living with her grandmother Wendy O'Connor and Kurt's sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain...

Courtney Love bought her teenage daughter a house so she could live alone. The Hole singer thought she and Frances Bean - her child with late husband Kurt Cobain - would get along better if they lived separately. But her plans to surprise the 17 year old were dashed when she lost custody of her to the Nirvana star's mother Wendy O'Connor and sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain in December. She said: "At Christmas time I bought her a house. And it took everything - I had to go to somebody else and get them to finance the house, because they'd frozen my account. Lawyers representing the guardians of Courtney Love's daughter have filed a court request to seal legal documents relating "to a minor and allegations of domestic violence". Seventeen-year-old Frances Bean Cobain, whose father is the late Kurt Cobain, was placed under the temporary guardianship of her paternal grandmother, Wendy O'Connor, and her aunt, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, earlier this month after requesting to live with her relatives.
Love, who bitterly disapproved of her daughter's decision to move, was subsequently slapped with a temporary restraining order banning all contact with Frances - just days after losing legal control of her child. Reports speculated Love lost custody due to a drug relapse, but her lawyer has insisted she is completely "clean".
Now court papers filed in the Superior Court of the State of California on Monday, December 21, and obtained by TMZ.com, hint Frances was the victim of domestic violence, although names and details have not been specified.

How would you feel if you were no longer allowed to be your child’s legal guardian?
Despondent doesn’t even cover how Courtney Love must feel at the moment. ‘Train-wreck’ might be the more appropriate term. The rehabbed Hole frontwoman officially lost legal control of 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain on Dec. 11, TMZ is reporting.
Wendy O’Connor, the mom of Frances’ deceased dad, rocker Kurt Cobain, and his sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, have been appointed guardians until she’s legal at 18.
The guardianship, which is said to protect Frances’ personal and financial well-being, is said to have come into play because Courtney has been allegedly unstable for quite some time.
How did it come to this, Court? You’ve been doing so well!
We know that you lost Frances once in 2003 after acting like a bunny boiler and trying to break into the home of her then boyfriend Jim Barber.
