C. Marie Davis(1958-2005)

Born in Duncan, British Columbia, she moved to Los Angeles to attend
the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She began her career
working as an assistant to cartoon voice actor Mel Blanc and his son,
Noel. She worked as a visual effects editor and producer at Dream Quest
Images, Free Range Imaging and Cinema Research Co. before moving to CIS
Hollywood. She helped CIS establish its high resolution division,
acting as a senior producer on "Batman Forever", "Star Trek:
Generations" and "The Muppet Christmas Carol", in addition to serving
as visual effects editor on "Patriot Games". Davis was a member of the
Editors Guild and the Visual Effects Society. At the time of her death
she was VP of Production Services at Sony Pictures Imageworks. At
Imageworks, she was responsible for the operation of several key areas
of the visual effects and digital character animation. Among the
projects completed during her tenure were "The Chronicles Of Narnia:
The Lion, the Witch, the Wardrobe", "Zathura", "Spiderman 2", "The
Polar Express" and "The Matrix Reloaded".
