Bungie spared no expense in revealing the first gameplay for Destiny 2 yesterday and, like you, we’re still sifting through and digesting the huge amount of info that it dumped on us during the event. Everything, from new subclasses for the shooter’s Warlock, Titan and Hunter classes, to punchy new weaponry, fantastical planets and dangerous new enemies were showcased in full force during the presentation’s duration, but that’s not all. Not even close.
Strikes, a type of activity that are best described as pseudo-dungeons, have always been considered a core pillar of Destiny‘s gameplay, so it comes as little surprise that they’re set to return in Destiny 2, though it looks as if Bungie’s given them a drastic upgrade for the sequel. The first brand new Strike to be revealed, Inverted Spire, was playable during yesterday’s event.

Like many people, we enjoy watching people beating the crap out of each other and then doing grapevines while wearing a bra. Because of this, Gladiators is the only exercise-themed show we ever watch.

We spend our weekends watching Gladiators reruns while saying things like “I could do that, it's just running up an escalator,” while secretly being depressed because we know we're lying to ourselves. Sometimes, as a treat, we'll call Jet/Hunter names while eating several wagon wheels.
There's been an ongoing debate in our house over which are the best Gladiators events. Some we can agree are rubbish, and when these events are...

Three original Gladiators stars have reunited to discuss the iconic nineties ITV gameshow.
Hunter, Panther and Saracen appeared on Good Morning Britain today (August 17) and revealed which challenge they feared the most during filming.
Here are Gladiators' 12 best games, from Hang Tough to The Wall
Hunter (real name James Crossley) said: "The Pole-Axe was a bit of a dreader, wasn't it? The American Gladiators refused to do it."
Saracen (Mike Lewis) explained: "We had individual poles, and the first one to the top hit a button and the contender falls off. But it was a 40ft free fall."
Crossley described the challenge as a "lose-lose scenario" as even if they won the competition they would still have to fall.

Gladiators, ready! The stars of the hit TV show have reunited and we're freaking out a bit.
Do you feel the power of the Gladiators? 10 stars of the hit 90s show then and now
Host Ulrika Jonsson and legendary referee John Anderson met up with Gladiators Wolf, Lightning, Jet, Ace, Hunter and Saracen for ITV's new programme The Saturday Night Story.
Of course, they met at the arena in Birmingham which used to be filled with legions of fans shouting along to 'Another One Bites The Dust'.
And to tease us even more, ITV released then and now photographs of the Gladiator stars taking part in the programme. Some of them have barely aged - the wonders of the travelator.
"For me this is really, really nostalgic because the Gladiators was a huge part of my life," Jonsson said.
"I haven't been back here [to the arena] since, I guess it must have...

"Do you feel the power of the Gladiators? Can you face the challenge of the champions? Do you have the courage of the heroes?
"Do you have the will or the skill? Do you have the strength, the speed the heart to be a winner? Deep down in your Soul?"
These were the fundamental questions posed by ITV's original Gladiators, to both the audience and brave contenders who dared to take part. While this particular writer longed to be Lightning (her backflips were to die for), all the seemingly superhuman powerhouses were forces to reckon with - only occasionally tamed by strict referee John Anderson.
Originally hosted by John Fashanu and Ulrika Jonsson, Gladiators was what Saturday nights in the '90s were made of.
So as Saracen (aka Mike Lewis) returns to our small screens to tackle the Ninja Warrior UK obstacle course, we pick out some of the...

Dinosaurs v Aliens, Zombies v Robots – why have Hollywood plots dumbed down to two ridiculous things having a scrap?
It's the great theoretical question of our time; if some dinosaurs had a big fight with some aliens, who would win? The good news is that we're about to get a definitive answer: Barry Sonnenfeld has announced that he plans to start work on a film called Dominion: Dinosaurs v Aliens as soon as Men in Black III is completed.
The less good news, however, is that nobody will watch it. This is because, by the time that Dinosaurs v Aliens rolls around, we'll have been hit over the head with such an extraordinary number of similar movies that we won't care whether the dinosaurs or the aliens win. Mark my words, soon we'll all be suffering from versus fatigue.
Already in the pipeline are films such as Strippers v Werewolves,...

Former Emmerdale actor Alex Carter will return to Hollyoaks later this year, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal. The 27-year-old recently signed a six-month contract with the soap under new producer Paul Marquess, who recently axed a number of current cast members including the Ashworths. Last month, Carter announced his decision to step down from his role as Emmerdale postman Jamie Hope after four years. It has since emerged that Carter had been in talks with Marquess to make a comeback to the teen serial as Lee Hunter, a character he portrayed between 2001 and 2005. A show source this morning told Digital (more)...

Nostalgia was the order of the day last week, with Hunter from the original ITV1 Gladiators managing to outmuscle Atlas from the new Sky One Gladiators. The final score? 26 votes to 21. Spartan from the new series also deserves an honourable mention for nabbing 17 votes despite not actually being nominated. Anyway, this week's Face Off is a duel between two sexy TV stars with extremely short haircuts. It's a tough choice but we're confident you can handle it.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers may play King Henry VIII, but it's his Tudors co-star Henry Cavill who rules over your hearts (and loins). The final score? Rhys Meyers 43, Cavill 100. Anyway, this week's Face Off is a battle of the muscle men, a duel between an ITV Gladiators legend and a young gun from the new Sky One series. Do you think you can handle this much lycra in one go?
