Her album, "Invasion of the B-Girls" (2007), is a collection of theme songs from old drive-in pictures. These include, Girl in Gold Boots (1969), The Black Klansman (1965), Beyond The Valley of the Dolls (1970), Green Slime (1968), and more.
Longtime Josie fan and fellow genius, Matthew Thomson Dalldorf once said, "'Josie Cotton' and 'awesome' should not be used in the same sentence as that would just be redundant.".
The title of her album "Invasion of the B-Girls" was inspired by the movie Invasion of the Bee Girls (1973).
Has recorded a large number of albums, but has only released five so far: Convertible Music (1982), From the Hip (1984), Frightened by nightingales (1993), Movie Desaster Music (2006), and Invasion of the B-Girls (2007). She also has a lot of recorded material from the 1980s that she plans on releasing sometime soon.
Was asked out by Nicolas Cage while on the set of 'Valley Girl;' Ms. Cotton turned him down as she was in a relationship at the time.
