- Began her career as a model with the John Robert Powers Agency and as a nightclub singer.
- Best known for her role as head nurse Liz Thorpse on the TV drama The Doctors and the Nurses (1962), for which she received an Emmy nomination.
- Won a Theatre World Award for her work in the 1955 Broadway musical "Plain and Fancy". She and one-time husband appeared together in the Broadway show "Banjo Eyes" which starred Eddie Cantor.
- Moved to Washington State in the early 1970s and performed locally on stage.
