A couple have finally tied the knot after finding out that they were unlawfully married for the past 48 years. Bob and Norma Clark from Redlands, California, had celebrated their 48th anniversary in August. However in November, when they applied for a copy of their marriage licence for Social Security purposes, clerks at San Mateo County's Hall of Records could not find any records of their wedding. The couple, who had met in college, took their vows in a church to the south of San Francisco in August 1964, shortly after Mr Clark had served in the army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bob Clark told Redlands Daily Facts: "They went back to the year 1956, but no record of our marriage could be found."
