I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: Seed of Chucky is the best Child’s Play movie by John Waters that he never directed. And to me, it’s probably the most underappreciated entry in the entire series, because if you take a moment to look at what Don Mancini did with this 2004 sequel, you’ll realize it’s a brilliant celebration of B-movies that also cleverly mixes up the Child’s Play franchise formula once again.
Seed of Chucky picks up after the events of Bride of Chucky, addressing the deaths of both Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif) and Tiffany (voiced by Jennifer Tilly), and the birth of their unlikely progeny, who was rescued from the graveyard by a ventriloquist named Psychs (Keith-Lee Castle) and now works as a dummy named “Shitface” (voiced by Billy Boyd). One night, Tiffany and Chucky’s offspring sees what...

You can’t help but feel that not only are these cockney, Nick Love infused gangster flicks a thing of the past, but so is the opportunity to ridicule them. We’ve thankfully moved beyond the films that were genuinely of this ilk, and now the chance to parody them feels contrived and unnecessary, in a Britain that has since moved on significantly, and a whole culture that’s almost a product of a bygone era. Nonetheless, that hasn’t stopped Nick Nevern taking it upon himself to create such a film, teaming up with writer Michael Lindley to present The Hooligan Factory.
Nevern also takes on one of the lead roles, playing Dex – a former football hooligan who is released from prison, only to join forces with his old gang and pick up where they left off. On his first day of freedom he bumps into the opportunist Danny...

After making his directorial debut back in 2011 with the British crime-drama Terry, Nick Nevern has returned behind the camera this year for his second film, The Hooligan Factory.
This time around, Nevern is stepping into new territory, marking the first high-profile movie to spoof the Football hooligan genre that has found such impressive success on our shores in recent years.
Production has been underway since the middle of January, and it officially wrapped on Sunday. And we’ve had the first look image sent over in hi-res.
“Danny (Jason Maza) wants something more. Expelled from school and living in his grandfather’s flat, he longs to live up to the image of his estranged father Danny Senior. Meanwhile legendary football hooligan Dexter (Nick Nevern) is about to be released from prison and is on a quest of his own, one of vengeance against his nemesis and rival firm leader The...

The highly-anticipated and long awaited new series of Young Dracula finally hits our screens this Monday 31st December 5:15pm on the Cbbc channel.
This third series, first reported by Screenterrier back in March, follows the next chapter in the life of Vlad, the teenage son of Count Dracula.
Vlad is now a fully fledged vampire, honing and testing his new powers. The Count (Keith-Lee Castle) knows that Vlad, the chosen one, needs to be kept safe while he learns the tools to fulfil his destiny. But, as usual, The Count's good intentions are undermined by his tendency to create drama and mayhem on a daily basis.
Gerran Howell returns to star as young Vlad, the son of Count Dracula, who accepts the useful things amongst his vampire powers, (fast speed, lighting candles etc) but would rather not be a fully-fledged, bloodthirsty, mayhem causing, breather hating evil kind of vampire.

Apparently working his way through The Vampire Film Academy, David Slade (30 Days of Night, Twilight Saga: Eclipse) is ready to take on some serious shit--The Last Vogage of the Demeter. In Bram Stoker's Dracula, the Demeter was the Russian ship that transported our fair-toothed hero from Transylvania to England. As you can imagine, for the crew of the Demeter, this was their farewell voyage; a fella has to eat. The horror script by Bragi Schut (Season of the Witch) is said to have an Alien vibe, recounting the perilous journey as people disappear one by one. When the Demeter finally arrives, the only body left is that of the captain, tied to the ship's helm.
Though he of sharp teeth has not been cast, two big stars: Ben Kingsley and Noomi Rapace are currently attached. I'd pay money to watch Kinglsey brush his teeth and Rapace is quickly racking up...
