Just a few days ago I stumbled across the trailer for an upcoming Russian scifi animation film that I absolutely fell in love with but had no information on beyond the Russian title, День рождения Алисы. And so I threw it online with no explanation, hoping that someone out there would be able to fill me in and now my thanks go out to Ringafish and Rip1ey, who not only found the English title but also passed on a good amount of background information.
The film is Alice’s Birthday, directed Sergey Seryogin and based on a series of hugely popular children’s science fiction books by Kir Bulychev.
