The expanded team will be led in NY by Leslie Zaslower, formerly Director of Casting at Nickelodeon. He had been diagnosed with Als commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease in 2012, according to a statement from Don Buchwald & Associates where Bagg worked as an agent for 16 years representing actors in film, television and theatre. Exclusive: The Abrams Artists Agency is beefing the ranks of its New York theatrical youth department with the hire of Don Buchwald & Associates’ Victoria Kress and Katie Chambers as well as former Abrams agent-in-training Jamie Pillet. The move follows last week’s move of Ellen Gilbert, head of Abrams’ New York youth department, and her associate Rachel Altman to Paradigm. Kress, Chambers and Pillet join 20-year Abrams veteran Bonnie Shumofsky, who heads the agency’s Youth Commercial department in New York. Kress has been a theatrical agent for children and young adults at Buchwald for the past 15 years. Prior to that, she worked with young clients at J.
