Few actors are as iconic as William Shatner. The legendary performer is, of course, best known as Captain James T. Kirk from the original Star Trek film and television series. But even fans who have followed his work for decades might know too much about Shatner’s personal life. For instance, he and Elizabeth Martin reunited years after finalizing their divorce.
William Shatner has done a lot more than ‘Star Trek’
Casual fans, again, probably know Shatner best for Star Trek. But the actor has worked on way more film and television projects than some people may realize.
On TV, he starred in the popular police drama T.J. Hooker in the 1980s and won two Emmy Awards for his scene-stealing role as Denny Crane on Boston Legal. Plus, he’s hosted countless TV shows, including Rescue 911.

Long Awol from Home Video — the last time I peeked it was an unwatchable pan-and-scanned laserdisc — this early Charles Band opus came at a time when the purveyor of third-class horror thrills could command a budget. A rather phenomenal list of ’70s special effects hopefuls collaborated to give the show lasting appeal, mainly by including some stop motion monsters from a parallel dimension. An average American family spends a chaotic night battling bizarre phemoneema… phelomea… stuff that’s leaked into our reality through that nuisance Sci-fi catch-all, a Time-Space Warp. A pair of big name stars twenty years past their sell-by date endure all manner of rubber critters, zipping flying saucers and green-glowing supernatural artifacts!

William Shatner has been hit with $170 million (£120 million) lawsuit from the man claiming to be his long-lost son.
The Star Trek legend had previously denied fathering Peter Sloan, who also goes by Peter Shatner, with late Canadian actress Kathy McNeil after a one-night-stand in 1956. Peter was born without William's knowledge and given up for adoption.
William claims Peter is trying to prosper from the alleged family connection, but the 59-year-old wants the actor to submit to a DNA test to prove his paternity once and for all.
Peter filed the lawsuit in Tampa, Florida last week (ends27Mar16) demanding $170 million for libel, defamation and slander, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six. He also wants a jury trial.
In the paperwork, the Florida radio host claims he met William in 1984 on the set of TV show T.J. Hooker and the actor initially "admitted he was the plaintiff’s...
