Written by Julie Golden, the film is based on an entry in Heather Gatticio’s blog Derfwad Manor. Exclusive: Sony Pictures TV is rebuilding its current department with the hire of former ABC head of current Kim Rozenfeld as Evp current programming. Rozenfeld will oversee all on-air series for Sony, which had been without a head of current for more than a year, since 25-year Sony TV veteran Jeanie Bradley left in February 2010 as part of the company-wide layoffs at Sony Pictures Entertainment. The across-the-board cuts claimed about 450 jobs, including Bradley, VP current programming Debra Curtis and manager of current programming Rose Lee, leaving VP John Westphal as the only remaining member of Sony TV's current department. Westphal will now work under Rozenfeld. This marks Rozenfeld's return to the studio where he started his executive career as director of series development for Columbia TriStar TV. Rozenfeld most recently had a pod deal at ABC Studios, to which he segued after his position as Svp and head of current...

Two more Sony Pictures TV current executives have departed as part of Sony Pictures Entertainment's companywide layoffs.
Debra Curtis, vp current programming, and Rose Lee, manager of current programming, join Spt's longtime head of current programming Jeanie Bradley, who is leaving after 25 years at the studio.
Spe said this month that it will lay off 450 staffers, or nearly 7% of the Culver City studio's worldwide work force of 6,800 employees.
The cuts at Spt are not expected to be particularly deep as most of Spe's pink slips will be in the home video and It departments. But by being so focused on the current department, Spt could be signaling a management restructuring in the division.
With Bradley, Curtis and Lee gone, there is only one Sony TV current executive left -- vp John Westphal -- raising questions whether the studio might shift some or all current series responsibilities to its comedy and drama development teams.

Sony Pictures Television's head of current programming, Jeanie Bradley, is leaving the studio after 25 years as part of the wave of layoffs expected to hit Sony Pictures Entertainment this week.
Earlier this month, Spe said it will lay off 450 staffers, or nearly 7% of the Culver City studio's worldwide work force of 6,800 employees.
Bradley is said to be the highest-profile name from Sony Pictures TV to be cut as most of Spe's layoffs will be in the home video and I.T. departments. Her exit follows the recent departure of another Sony TV veteran, Sony Pictures TV International president Michael Grindon.
As executive vp U.S. current programming, Bradley oversaw the studio's scripted on-air series, including "Community" for NBC, "Rules of Engagement" for CBS, "'Til Death" and "Brothers" for Fox, "Lawman" and "Damages" for FX, "Breaking Bad" for AMC, "Drop Dead Diva" for Lifetime, "Hawthorne" for TNT and "My Boys...
