Charles Lederer and Luther Davis wrote the book based on the play by Edward Knoblock. He and George Forrest wrote the music and lyrics. Lemuel Ayers was set designer. Frank Thompson was costume designer. Jack Cole was choreographer. Edward Greenberg was director. Richard Rodgers was producer.

Nikos Psacharapoulos was artistic director. David Schweizer was director. William Finn was also composer. Lee Mayman was costume designer. Marty Kapell was setting designer. Mary Kye was also special choreographer. Mozart, Abbud Abdel and he were original composers.
