- XL Sausage (2009) won Best Comedy at the 2009 Phoenix ComiCon Film Festival in which he was the Cinematographer and Editor.

- William Bolander says one of the best movie sets he's been a part of was Forget About It (2006), as he was able to work closely with four Icons in the film industry, Charles Durning , Robert Loggia , Burt Reynolds , and Raquel Welch .
- In December 2012, took in introductory flight lesson in a 1966 Piper PA28-140 Cherokee, where he actually did the Take-Off and Landing of the plane, without the help of the instructor. This was one of his greatest memories outside the film industry.
- In 2014, Wil attended the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration in Las Vegas. During this once-in-a-lifetime event, he drove his 2003 Mustang GT on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for 9 laps, reaching a top speed of 130mph (110mph around the turns).
- Wil is a HUGE fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
- William has worked with Casting Director Gay Gilbert on many projects, which include Movies, TV, Commercials, and Print.
- Was a Stand-In for Greg Kinnear in What Planet Are You From? (2000).
- He has worked on seven projects with Cinematographer, Ed Oliver. They have also worked together in the Camera and Sound department at National Laser Institute's In-House video series, for six years.
- He grew up with the family dog, a Siberian Husky named Natasha.
- Worked as a Casting Assistant with Casting Director Gay Gilbert for 7 years.
- Being a big fan of college football, Wil got to play catch with Burt Reynolds, during break times on the set of Forget About It (2006). A cool experience which he'll never forget about.
