- Ren Stewart grew up in Orange County, California, beginning to compose for work during college where she was receiving a degree in Studio Art from the University of California, Irvine. In 1994 she began working as an apprentice composer for Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO at Mutato Muzika Studios in Los Angeles. When the studio was given the monumental task by Turner Entertainment to transform the entire Popeye cartoon library for worldwide distribution she transitioned into the role of sound designer, music editor and engineer.
