The weather has changed for the worse in the idyllic surroundings of the Lake District as twists are unveiled and forgotten memories return in Safe House.
This second instalment of this engrossing new drama is bookended with surprises for the audience. The Blackwell family, safely ensconced in the titular safe house, run by former policeman Robert and his wife Katy, discover their son has been attacked.
Initially, we are led to believe that Sam Blackwell, the eldest son, has been involved in a drugs revenge attack by Michael Collersdale - the same man who tried to abduct Joe Blackwell (the youngest of the family), and ended up almost battering father David to death (and actually killing a helpful passer-by in the process).
