An upcoming Christmas release in Germany, director and former full-time stuntman Hardy Martins' "As Far as My Feet Will Carry Me" (So Weit die Fusse Tragen) had its world premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival with surprisingly little fanfare. Based on the 1957 book of the same name by Josef Martin Bauer that tells the true story of a German soldier who chose to be anonymously dubbed Clemens Forell, "Feet" is a great World War II-era adventure movie that recalls many other works, starting with the 1969 book and 1973 film version of "Papillon".
