WWE sacrificed 28 wrestlers and backstage talent on Wednesday all in the name of WWE’s stock.
That sounds crude, but it’s true.
WWE announced today that 28 individuals were fired. More full-time employees would be furloughed or laid off and construction on the company’s new headquarters has halted as well. The savings for WWE is about $4 million per month, they bragged in a press release.
That $4 million per month sounds like a lot … until you realize WWE has $90 million in cash on hand and has upwards of $500 million available if they maximized everything and extended all of their credit lines.
The cuts were, of course, blamed on coronavirus.
But make no mistake about it, these cuts were made for one reason and one reason only … to protect WWE’s stock price. The moves were made to protect profit margin. It affected a lot of lower-card talents, some of whom...

This past Monday on Raw, the roster rose up against their corporate oppressors to help out Daniel Bryan battle against the Shield. The ripple effects of this and the treatment of Dusty Rhodes carried over into the Main Event and gave hints of crossing over to future events of Nxt as well. Let’s talk about the Main Event first.
This week Main Event came from my surrogate hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio . Alex Riley, subbing for the decimated Miz thanks to Randy Orton, sat alongside Josh Matthews to call the action. Interesting enough, they did not replay the footage of the attack on Monday.
The action begins with the spiritual son of Curt Hennig (Dolph Ziggler) versus the biological son of the WWE Hall of Famer Curtis Axel. The third-generation athlete came out along with Paul Heyman in a wheelchair with Ryback following behind. It’s really interesting to see...

It really is all about the Benjamins, baby. Critics didn't find much to laugh at, but The Hangover Part II easily erased moviegoers' memories of whatever reviews they read and managed to smash multiple box office records, including the three-day total for a live-action comedy and the holiday-weekend take for any R-rated movie. Plus, it nearly doubled on the original Hangover's opening weekend en route to amassing more than $205 million worldwide, according to Warner Bros. Factor in that the flick "only" cost $80 million to make, and you get...The Hangover Part III, of course! Even though screenwriters Craig Mazin and Scott Armstrong kinda ran out of fresh ideas the second time...

Already? We still have those lingering hangover effects. Warner Brothers Pictures wasted no time to make plans for another sequel after “The Hangover 2” had a record grossing Memorial Weekend and earned over $200 million worldwide. Craig Mazin, one of the scriptwriters of “The Hangover 2,” is already in early negotiations to return for another film. Mazin co-wrote the script with Todd Phillips and Scott Armstrong. His writing credits included comedy films such as “Scary Movie 3,” “Scary Movie 4” and “Superhero Movie.” The details of any ideas for “The Hangover 3” are being kept secret, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Phillips directed the first two films and indicated in a previous press conference there may be a possible third film to “The Hangover” franchise. “If we were to do a third one, if the audience [and] if the desire was there—I think we have a clear idea where that would head and it...
