Initially in charge of propaganda within an oppressive South African government, Helga (Malisa Longo) is demoted to being in charge of looking after a group of recently captured rebel female prisoners. She rules Chateau Stilberg with an iron fist whilst having an insatiable appetite for both prisoners and soldiers alike. Unfortunately for her, not all the prisoners want to play along and this naturally frustrates Helga on a regular basis. One of the prisoners under her watchful eye is the spunky and feisty Elisabeth Vogel (Patrizia Gori), daughter of a leftist lawyer who is seemingly the government’s biggest enemy and prime target. When Helga discovers this, she naturally intends to use young Elisabeth as bait, but eventually starts to fall for her.

Trend-setter, impresario, phenomenon: David Bowie has shaped entire subcultures. Jon Savage traces the star's talent for reinvention and his catalytic encounter with William Burroughs
William Burroughs: The weapon of the Wild Boys is a bowie knife, an 18in bowie knife, did you know that?
David Bowie: An 18in bowie knife … you don't do things by halves do you? No, I didn't know that was their weapon. The name Bowie just appealed to me when I was younger. I was into a kind of heavy philosophy thing when I was 16 years old, and I wanted a truism about cutting through the lies and all that.
On 28 February 1974, Rolling Stone magazine published a remarkable encounter between David Bowie and William Burroughs. Entitled "Beat Godfather Meets Glitter Mainman", the event had been hosted in November 1973 by the American journalist A Craig Copetas. As published it took the form of a Q...

This month has brought with it a wave of horror the blood thirsty masses have been lapping up for three plus weeks now. Carriers, Jennifer's Body, Sorority Row, and 9 all enjoy current theatrical runs, while the highly anticipated Pandorum will tackle the box office today. The ridiculously eerie Grace arrived on DVD shelves this month, as did Clive Barker's Book Of Blood, Deadgirl, Methodic and Rob Zombie?s The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto among others. John Sandford's latest novel Rough Country will street on the 29th, and Stephen Jay Shwartz saw his debut novel Boulevard hit stands on the 15th. Musically it's been an exceptional month for horror releases as well thanks to the extremely successful Insane Clown Posse release Bang! Pow! Boom!, while the upcoming Dethklok album Dethalbum II is poised to cause commotion on the 29th. Seems like a damn fine month for horror eh?

The 46-year-old - real name Richard Allan Ream - was taken into police custody at Los Angeles' Lax airport last Monday after arriving back in his native U.S. on a flight from New Zealand.
He was then taken to Los Angeles County Jail, where he was detained on an outstanding arrest warrant for rape, which was originally issued in Neshoba County, Mississippi.
On Saturday, Rockett, who co-founded the 1980s rock group with singer Bret Michaels, was due to perform with his singer fiancee Melanie Martel at Rattlesnake Slim's in Newhall, close to the couple's home.
But the duo pulled out of the show on Friday, claiming they could no longer make the gig "due to what's going on".
However, Rockett refused to elaborate further on his legal troubles, saying it was "because of his lawyers", according to Tmz.com.
