Actress Jaclyn Smith, best known for her iconic role as Kelly Garrett in Charlie’s Angels, recently sat down with uInterview founder Erik Meers to discuss how she started her fashion, wig and health lines.

When first offered the opportunity by Kmart to open her own fashion line, Smith said no as she had never shopped at the store. Kmart invited her to visit and to look at the lines they had. She was amazed at the lines they could produce at such a low price point.
“So I thought long and hard, I took it on, 35-36 years later, here I am,” she said. “Now I’m designing another line. And it couldn’t have been a more wise decision. I learned so much, it was an education. I learned about the mass market. I was able to give back to all those...

Oscar Wilde famously said that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," but he probably wasn't thinking about beating the crap out of people with bar stools when he said it. Edgar Wright, on the other hand, thought a lot about beating the crap out of people with bar stools in his 2013 sci-fi action-comedy "The World's End," with scenes that pay homage to some of the most celebrated Hong Kong filmmakers.
The acclaimed film was the third installment of Wright's "Cornetto Trilogy," a series of films starring his frequent collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, which each built upon the influences of classic genre films. "Shaun of the Dead" is a love letter to zombie movies, "Hot Fuzz" is an ode to buddy cop flicks, and "The World's End" is a kung fu comedy throwback, with a little bit of middle-aged reunion drama and alien invasion tossed in for good measure.

A representative for the veteran action choreographer confirmed his passing on Saturday. Although a cause of death has not been released to the public, a post from Chan’s official website says that an “illness” was to blame.
“I never imagined that just a few days later, today, I received another unbelievable and heartbreaking news,” Chan wrote in a blog post in which he also mourned the recent passing of another team member, Yang Sheng. “A fourth generation Jc Stunt team member, Bradley James Allan, also passed away from illness.”

The adventure-filled past of the iconic scoundrel and everyone’s favorite Wookiee is going before cameras this month when principal photography on the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story officially began February 20th at Pinewood Studios, London.
The movie will explore the duo’s adventures before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, including their early encounters with that other card-playing rogue from a galaxy far, far away, Lando Calrissian.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are directors co-piloting the movie, with a cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.
“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” Lord and Miller said.

Kingsman: the Secret Service is the fifth directorial effort from director Matthew Vaughan and yet another film that I thoroughly enjoyed. I should mention that I have been a fan of Mark Vaughan’s work since Layer Cake, one of my favorite British gangster movies and Vaughan’s first feature. So I admit I’m a little biased, I loved Kick Ass, I really loved X-Men: First Class, and I was so excited when I heard about this film. Yes, I know I left out Stardust, yes, it’s because I really didn’t like it.
Based on yet another comic by Mark Millar, Kingsman is a breathtaking re-imagination of the whole British spy genre…and then some. Interestingly enough this is not the first Mark Millar project Vaughan has helmed, the first being Kick –Ass 1 (the better one). Vaughan is also credited as “co-plotter” on The Secret Service, the...

Colin Firth plays a suave intelligence agent who grooms a teen delinquent (British newcomer Taron Egerton) into a superspy in Kingsman: The Secret Service (out Oct. 24). The film — co-starring Michael Caine and a villainous Samuel L. Jackson — is based on the beloved comic book by Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar, itself a riff on Millar and director Matthew Vaughn’s mutual love of old espionage flicks.
“We missed all the spy movies we loved as kids, whether it was Bond or ‘In Like Flint.’ They had a sense of humor as well as being a thriller,” says Vaughn, who dreamed up...

The World’s End, the third collaboration for Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz director/co-writer Edgar Wright, hits theaters today. Which means you should start seeing fans reenact a lengthy fight that breaks out during their characters’ nostalgic 12-pub crawl right… about… now.
Earlier this week, Pegg and Frost visited EW’s Sirius Xm channel and talked about creating the martial art they call “pub fu” with stunt coordinator and choreographer Brad Allan. “It’s like a half-remembered martial art form. I used to watch wrestling, and I can swing my arms really quickly,...

They've battled through the zombie apocalypse, they've freed a small British hamlet from the clutches of evil cult, and now Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are teaming up for the ultimate challenge: The Golden Mile.
"The World's End," opening Aug. 23, is the final chapter of the "Cornetto Trilogy," this millennium's most beloved and least formal comedy triptych. Each installment follows Britain’s schlubbiest duo as they take on new characters and contend with their faded adolescence in one way or another. "Shaun of the Dead" poked loving fun at zombie movies and "Hot Fuzz" applied the same treatment to the spectacular mayhem of Michael Bay-style actioners, "The World’s End" is by contrast a somewhat sobering series capper, a bittersweet comedy that very much takes place in the real world until, well, it doesn't.

When they name the greatest action stars ever to grace the movie screen, who would they mention? Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Willis? Well there is only one guy who stands out above all, and his name is Jackie Chan. If Chinese Zodiac is his final big action movie, then we need to sit and watch this legend at the age of 58, show what he can do for one last time. It will be a sad when Jackie finally calls it a day and stays behind the camera, but at least his choreography and directing will still be on gong for many more years.
Jackie Chan does not need a gun to win a battle, all he needs are his fists, feet and the occasional object Ie. Ladders, chairs, chains, you name it, Jackie can use it. But that’s not all, if you think you can corner him and win that way,...

There were some scenes containing incomplete greenscreen effects but now a polished version has arrived with the background inserted. Former Jackie Chan Stunt Team member Sam Wong served as co-director and fight choreographer. The story revolves around two best friends in Europe (played by real-life best friends Sammy Hung and Kane Kosugi) who love martial arts. They are Hung Gar exponents after learning the art from Hung's father (Sammo Hung). When they want to learn other forms of martial arts, they head off to China in an attempt to learn the art of Choy Li Fut...

If "Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World" died at the box office this past August, it's enjoying the heavenly embrace of its true fans now. During election season, one of the fiercest campaigns waged hasn't been led by any political candidate, but rather the cast and crew of "Scott Pilgrim" who have gone far beyond the call of duty to restore honor to Edgar Wright's gloriously insane adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel with a barnstorming tour of the country that began in Los Angeles last month at the New Beverly Cinema where everyone from star Michael Cera to director Edgar Wright showed up for the film's first official midnight screening and will continue at a free screening the Bloor Cinema in Toronto on Friday, sold out dates at the Brattle Theatre in Boston this Saturday (where the 7:30 show is not yet sold out) and the Village...

Ahead of the release of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Michael caught up with the cast and director to discuss the making of the film, and Edgar Wright’s forthcoming Ant-Man…
We here at Den Of Geek aren't too perturbed by the lukewarm welcome Scott Pilgrim Vs the World received over in North America. We know the film's good, and suspect that UK and European audiences might be a little more in tune with its mixture of kick-ass style and down-to-earth drama.
We shall soon see, as writer-director Edgar Wright and the cast were recently in London for the flick's continental premiere.
While he was here, we had the chance to sit with the assembled talent in two mini-press conferences, held in Soho. In an overwhelming turnout, we were treated to the precious time of Wright, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ellen Wong, Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Jason Schwartzman, Michael Cera, Satya Bhabha and Brandon Routh.

Aaron Johnson Is "Kick-Ass" as far as American audiences are concerned. The British actor debuted at this year's Sundance Film Festival in "Nowhere Boy," where he played a young John Lennon. "Boy" won't see a wide release until after the summer movie season, so State-side, Johnson is introduced as Dave Lizewski, the alter-ego of un-super hero Kick-Ass."Kick-Ass" hits theaters this Friday, April 16th, and I'm pretty confident it will make the Top 10 of 2010 of most people with a penis who are not old enough to collect Social Security.I sat down with a group of other film journalists with Aaron Johnson to talk Kick-Ass, its sequel, jockstraps, John Lennon and which one of the "Kick-Ass" cast is a Motherfucker. I'll be honest I am still wary about the film's tone, but stylistically this is really looking aces. Really like the De Palma-style split screen action early on and the glimpses we get of Brad Allan's choreography looks to be a lot of fun. It is most definite that come August 13th, we'll all be privy to a grade-a bone-crunching, onomatopoeia-driven, button-mashing inspired, throw-down of...well... epic proportions.
Also, if you haven't already, check out Edgar Wright's blog. Way back since pre-production for Scott Pilgrim, Edgar has been driving a pretty magnificent hype machine with photo blogs, behind the scenes videos, song downloads and more.

To all the fans of Jackie Chan, don't expect to see much action scenes. To all those who are looking for a seriously good film from him, well, you should consider skipping this one. In fact, although his skills in martial arts are impressive, the same thing can't be said about his competence as a scriptwriter and an actor.
Bu (Shu Qi) lives in a fishing village of Taiwan. One day, she finds a bottle in the sea. This bottle contains a message written by Albert (Tony Leung), a man who is asking his potential soul mate to come in Hong Kong in order to meet him. However, when she arrives in his apartment, Albert tells Bu that he was looking for a man. Eventually, Bu randomly runs into C.N.
