The list of musicians and actors appearing in the long-awaited This Is Spinal Tap sequel keeps growing, with news that Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, The Nanny’s Fran Drescher, and more will appear in the forthcoming mockumentary.
Anyone who has seen the original film knows that drummers experience an unfortunate fate in the world of Spinal Tap, so it might not end well for Ulrich and Smith. Meanwhile, Drescher is reprising her hilarious role as record-label publicist and “hostess with the mostest” Bobbi Flekman.
Other newly revealed additions to the movie include Don Lake (The Bonnie Hunt Show), John Michael Higgins (Best in Show), Jason Acuña (Jackass), Nina Conti (Family Tree), Griffin Matthews (The Flight Attendant), Kerry Godliman (After Life), Chris Addison (Veep), and comedian Brad Williams, according to Deadline.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich will try to survive the Spinal Tap drummers curse with cameos in the upcoming This Is Spinal Tap sequel.
The two musicians were named in a new round of cast announcements, per Deadline, now that production on the film has begun in New Orleans. Though we obviously don’t know for sure, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Smith and Ulrich roped into an extension of one of the best bits from 1984’s This Is Spinal Tap...

Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs certainly seems to have struck a nerve for some people, and I doubt the first-look image is going to change anyone’s mind.
The studio announced this morning that the release of Snow White had been pushed from March 22, 2024, to March 21, 2025, but they also released a new image featuring Rachel Zegler’s Snow White surrounded by the Seven Dwarfs. Unfortunately, the characters look as though they’ve been dragged from the uncanny valley kicking and screaming. Check it out below.
That’s some Polar Express shit right here. The reveal of the characters may also come as a surprise to some as Disney had implied that they would be taking a different approach with the Dwarves after Peter Dinklage slammed the remake last year.

Jason Acuña aka Wee Man has a few thoughts on “Wonka.”
The “Jackass Forever” star shared a TikTok video questioning Hugh Grant’s casting as an Oompa Loompa in the upcoming “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” prequel. Timothée Chalamet portrays the titular chocolatier Willy Wonka.
“Hugh Grant is now playing an Oompa Loompa? So I guess Hugh Grant, you’re now identifying as a little person?” Acuña said. “Huh, interesting.”
The stunt man went on to call out Disney’s upcoming “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” live-action remake with Rachel Zegler in the lead.
“You’re replacing jobs that people could have [us] as little people,” Acuna added. “It’s for dwarfs. Why are you hiring ‘Snow White and the seven average people?'”
He continued that Disney should “make it right” and “re-do” casting with members of the dwarfism community. “Make it better Disney,” Acuna said.

Hugh Grant Being Cast as Oompa Loompa in New ‘Wonka’ Film Criticized by Actor with Dwarfism
Hugh Grant‘s casting in the upcoming “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” prequel, “Wonka”, is being criticized by actors with dwarfism.
In the trailer for the film, which was released earlier this month, Grant is seen as an Oompa Loompa, the name Roald Dahl used for the group of diminutive factory workers in his 1964 novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.
While it’s not clear if any actors with dwarfism are featured in the upcoming film, Oompa Loompas were played by actors with dwarfism in two previous films based on Roald Dahl’s book.
In a new interview from the BBC, George Coppen, an actor with dwarfism, said he believes the role should have been given to an actor with the condition.

The Jackass series debuted on MTV in 2000, quickly becoming one of the most popular television shows. It followed the antics of a group of friends as they engaged in outrageous stunts, pranks, and dangerous physical challenges. The show cast included Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-o, Chris Pontius, Wee Man, Dave England, Preston Lacy, and Ryan Dunn.
Despite parental and political worries about the show’s potential impact on younger viewers, it quickly skyrocketed in popularity. After three seasons of wading through constant censorship notes from MTV, Knoxville and his pals decided to end their run; thus began, Jackass’ successful transition to the silver screen era.
The Jackass franchise spawned several movies that were released between 2002 and 2022, in the following order:

Who would've thought you could do anything more degrading than Jackass? Former cast member Wee-Man is the star of this atrocity of a Christmas film about an elf superhero that sounds so bad it might actually be good. From the trailer, it would appear that Elf-Man is about a superhero elf who sets out to save two kids' father's plan for renewable energy from burglars.

Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” starring Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, Bam Margera, Wee-Man, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, and Ryan Dunn.
86 year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with the most unlikely companions, his 8 year-old Grandson Billy in “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.” This October, the signature Jackass character Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicoll) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera.
Along the way Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter male strippers, disgruntled child beauty pageant contestants (and their equally disgruntled mothers), funeral home mourners, biker bar patrons and a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens.
Real people in unreal situations, making for one really messed up comedy.
Have a look at the trailer below.

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn had a long history of traffic incidents and car crashes before his tragic death on June 20 -- so many, in fact, that his friends predicted his method of death five years ago in a DVD commentary track.
TMZ reviewed the commentary in which one unidentified cast member makes the off-hand comment, "I have [Ryan] in the death pool ... for death by vehicle."
Best friend Bam Margera's mother April agreed that Dunn would never learn his lesson. "He's gonna eat it one of these times [in a car accident]," Margera added. Before his death, Dunn had accumulated over 20 moving violations, including one DUI.
Dunn's close friends attended a memorial service on Wednesday, and one of his co-stars, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, went a step further, getting Dunn's likeness tattooed on him. He shared the experience in a video (below), noting that for once he wished he was getting the tattoo because of a lost bet.

Less than 24 hours after the death of "Jackass" daredevil Ryan Dunn, friends, fans -- and some critics -- are reacting to the news. Dunn died early Monday (June 20) in a fiery car crash near his Pennsylvania home.
Johnny Knoxville, the de facto, leader of the "Jackass" troupe tweeted, "Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. Rip Ryan, I love you buddy."
Jason "Wee-Man" Acuna, another "Jackass" alum, also shared his reaction on Twitter, writing "I Miss You Bud!! You were always a happy kick-a-- dude!!"
There's been no public reaction yet from Steve-o or Bam Margera, although Margera's mother did tell Radar Online , "I felt like I lost one of my own sons."
Meanwhile, film critic Roger Ebert, instead of memorializing Dunn used the opportunity to post a public service announcement of sorts:
Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive.

I'm gonna miss you bad," tweeted David England, while Jason "Wee-Man" Acuna added: "I miss you, bud. You were always a happy kick-ass dude!" As for Steve-o, he shared a similar sentiment. "Jackass" fans the world over woke up this morning to the terrible news that star Ryan Dunn was killed in a car accident Sunday evening. Dunn's fans are understandably devastated by the news, and to honor his memory, the MTV Movies crew is looking back upon five of his very best "Jackass" movie moments. Rest in peace, Ryan.
"Master Blaster"
"Jackass 3D" blew us away, and it blew Dunn away as well—literally! Poor Ryan was the guy selected to participate in the movie's "Master Blaster" stunt, where he sat in an admittedly comfortable-looking chair while withstanding the awesome force of an L-39 jet fighter's activated engine. There are certainly easier (and less expensive) ways to cool off, but hats off to Ryan for giving us this priceless moment.

As news of "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn's death began to circulate on Monday (June 20), those who knew him best paid tribute to their fallen friend and struggled to come to terms with the loss of a man whose antics touched the lives of many.
In a message posted on the website of Dickhouse Entertainment (the producers of the wildly popular "Jackass" series and shows like "Rob & Big" and "Wildboyz"), Dunn was remembered by Johnny Knoxville, director Jeff Tremaine and "the entire 'Jackass' family" as a "brother," though the pain of his death was understandably evident.
"I don't really know what to say right now everybody, because the sadness is overwhelming, but today we lost one of our own.

Repeat after me: there is never enough Jackass.
The saints and tzadiks at Paramount Home Entertainment know this, and that's why they've released Jackass 3.5 on DVD and Blu-ray.
For your laugh-snorting pleasure comes a whole new collection of deleted scenes, making-of material and features with enticing titles like "Jackass: The European Tour."
We're happy to debut this clip, that includes Wee-man dressing like a duck. Enjoy!

The Film:
Like the previous films, with Jackass 3D (review here) director Jeff Tremaine and the Jackasses filmed a slew of gags, and with some much left on the cutting room floor after Jackass 3D was released, Paramount naturally crafted an entire new film in Jackass 3.5. While we see a ton of new stunts, a neat thing about 3.5 is that is doesn’t wholly feel like a new film, but feels like a denouement to Jackass 3D, something I called “a side-splitting hilarious coda to a generational gift from a few lovable idiots that balked at the notion that not everyone can keep their fifteen minutes of fame.”
While there’s plenty of great moments, the film is structured differently than most Jackass films, in where the cast and crew are candidly interviewed in-between vintages about the dangerous world of filming a Jackass movie. I liked this structure, but...

"Oil spills, pain's temporary, glory lasts forever." If there's better advice than that, we don't want to hear it. Unless we're planning on riding our bicycle across a deadly ravine. In that case, the advice we'd hope to hear is more along the lines of a smack upside the head.
Sadly, no one gifted Jason "Wee-Man" Acuña with such advice before he attempted a death-defying stunt for the brutally hilarious "Jackass 3D," which arrives on DVD and Blu-ray today. The endlessly dumped upon Wee-Man sinks to new lows (forgive the pun) in this exclusive deleted scene from the "Jackass" threequel as he attempts to cross a deep ravine with nothing but his bike.
We don't need to spoil the outcome for you. You already know how this one ends: bad for Wee-Man, hilarious for us. Enjoy!

The first cut of Terrence Malick’s existential war film The Thin Red Line supposedly had a running time of five hours. To cut it down to a more “manageable” three hours, he had to chop out a huge swath of film — including practically the entire performance of nominal lead Adrien Brody. So don’t think of Jackass 3.5 as a shameless recycling of deleted scenes. Think of it as Jackass 3: The Adrien Brody Edition. “When we made Jackass 3D, we shot too much,” explains Dave England in the new preview clip. Wee-Man adds, “Now we have all this extra great footage,...

So great is the influence of "The Social Network" this year that upcoming Critics' Choice Movie Awards will use it in its promo. The movie is getting spoofed by "Jackass" cast in one of four parodies of the Critics' Choice nominees for Best Picture.
Based on a behind-the-scene video, it seems that Johnny Knoxville and his gang's take on "The Social Network" will be saucy. In a scene set in a tense boardroom, Bam Margera is seen trying to get Knoxville's Mark Zuckerberg's attention by licking another man's armpit. He even lies naked on the table.
"Poor Bam, the room was ice-cold. Everyone, please know that the room was ice-cold in there," Knoxville said. Margera added, "Every time that I'm naked, it's always cold out. It's Los Angeles, and it's freezing."

MTV News is making four parodies of the 16th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards' nominees for Best Picture to promote the show, and has called up "Jackass" stars to help out. One of the spoofs will see Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera and friends poking fun at "The Social Network".
The skit for the David Fincher-directed drama takes place in a boardroom with Johnny taking the role of Mark Zuckerberg. "We're spoofing four movies," he dished to MTV when met on the set. "We've never done anything like this before. So God knows how they're going to turn out. I play Mark Zuckerberg; Wee-Man [Jason Acuna] and Preston [Lacy] play the Winklevoss twins."
In the meantime, Bam stars as an interrogator who will try to get Johnny's attention by licking the armpit of fellow "Jackass" cast member Dave Englund. In a clip, it can be seen that he also strips naked and lies on a conference table.

Celebrities have been endorsing products for years, whether it's embarrassing foreign ads that find their way onto YouTube or legitimate product shilling to the masses.
Attaching a star's likeness to a company or product can be risky for both parties, or warrant huge payoff. Check out our picks for the best (and worst) celeb endorsements of 2010.
Best:
Kevin Bacon plays his own creepiest biggest fan in the wildly popular Logitech Revue with Google TV ad. If you love this ad as much as we do, you may be in luck. The actor tells EW there's plenty more where that came from, saying "What's on the air is really just a tiny taste of what we shot."
After joking to David Letterman about his mother's affinity for Wegmans, Alec Baldwin also appeared in two ads for the North-eastern grocery chain. The ad below features his mom Carol, and was shot in her local Syracuse store.

We dare you to disagree: when all was said and done, 2010 was a great year for movies.
Christopher Nolan managed to somehow create a summer blockbuster in “Inception” that actually required thinking. Animation dominated the Cineplex with perhaps the greatest lineup of cartoons a single year has ever seen — “How to Train Your Dragon,” “Despicable Me’ and “Toy Story 3″ just for starters. And “The Social Network” managed to combine our two national obsessions — movies and the internet – in a way that, frankly, only we here at Nextmovie had ever previously accomplished.
Just kiddin’.
There were a lot of tough choices, but we managed to crown the year’s best movies, scenes and stars in our first annual year-end movie awards.
Best. Movie. Ever.
Ftw: “The Social Network”
It didn’t sound like a recipe for Hollywood perfection: the kid from “Zombieland” in a movie about Facebook? Really? But beyond...

Jackass 3D
Starring Johnny Knoxville, Bam Magera, Steve-o, Jason Acuna
Directed by Jeff Tremaine
Rated R
My first thought, after watching this movie, was "This is a terrible movie to watch right before eating lunch." My second thought was, "How in the world do I write a review about it?" It's not a traditional movie, with a plot and actors playing their roles. It's about a bunch of guys hitting each other in the crotch and having fun on camera.
To start, it was nice seeing Beavis and Butthead on any screen again, even if for only a few minutes. I grew up watching them, and it felt a bit nostalgic seeing those two idiots. However, they get about two minutes of film time, and we immediately jump into Jackass 3D.
If you're at all familar with the Jackass boys, you know they do some pretty dumb stuff. Some of it is fairly clean,...

Somewhere there's a story in theaters about people brought together by a horse and an indomitable will to succeed in the face of danger. In the theater next to it are jackasses brought together putting themselves in danger...for fun. What that horse left in one film, Johnny Knoxville and company put in another...literally. In what can be the ultimate truth in advertising, director and co-creator of Jackass 3D gives you just what's implied as the crew of Knoxville, Steve-0, Bam Margera, Wee Man (Jason Acuna), Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy and newcomer...

Jason Acuna, Bam Margera, Chris Pontius, Steve-o, Preston Lacy in Jeff Tremaine's Jackass 3D Movies are better than ever. Just ask Paramount. The Paramount-distributed Jackass 3D, which cost a reported $20m to make, pulled in an astounding $50m at the North American box office on its first three days out according to studio estimates found at Box Office Mojo. Jackass 3D's take far surpassed expectations, which hovered around $25-30m, and even adjusted Saturday estimates, which had the film grossing $40m after scoring nearly $22m on Friday. At 3,081 theaters, Jackass 3D averaged $16,228 per site. Back in 2006, Jackass Number Two grossed $29m (in 2D,...

After a decade of pulling off outrageous pranks, Johnny Knoxville and crew prove that audiences still love a crazy stunt. The guys, including Steve-o, Bam Margera and Jason "Wee-Man" Acuña, have been risking injury and freaking out fans since the "Jackass" TV show hit MTV in 2000. The latest installment of the series, the visually souped-up "Jackass 3D," scored a major opening weekend, netting $50 million its first two days on screens and blowing away the competition.
In second place, with less than half of the "Jackass" haul, is the spy flick "Red." Starring Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and Bruce Willis as ex-cia operatives targeted by their former employer, the movie rang up $22.5 million its debut weekend.
After ruling the box office for two consecutive weeks, "The Social Network" slid to third place. The movie, which features Jesse Eisenberg,...
