Gilbert Carreras, a color consultant/color timer since 1985 and has
been in the motion picture film service since 1978.
He has color timed many different film formats of visual color.
Technicolor original color three strip (YCM), 35mm and 65mm original
color negative, Black and white original nitrate and acetate negatives,
Color Reversal Internegatives (C.R.I.), Digital original color
negatives
He is good at teaching students about color stocks and how they effect
the look of film. He was a color consultant at Technicolor Thailand.
He has been active in film preservation/restoration, Head Timer for
(Cinetech Lab Valencia)
He was one of seven people that helped start (Cinetech Lab
Riverside)and helped in the moving of this company to Burbank and
Valencia.
He has worked together with great Cinematographers and Directors, some
who have since died, restoring movies for Academy screenings and DVD
release such as: Conrad Hall: "The Professionals" "In Cold Blood", Laslo Kovacs: "Easy
Rider" "Radio Flyer" "Five Easy Pieces", John A. Alonzo: "The Fortune",
Owen Roizman: "The Electric Horseman", Vilmos Zsigmond: "Obsession",
Haskell Wexler: "Who's Afraid Of Virgina Woolf", Robert Wise: "The Day
the Earth Stood Still", Elia Kazan: "On The Waterfront"
He has worked for (Technicolor Lab North Hollywood) for many years
He has worked at (C.F.I.) as a color timer for (Technicolor) when they
took ownership for four years.
He was asked to work for Technicolor (Thailand) and stayed for three
years on behalf of (Technicolor North Hollywood)

committed to motion picture film.
