A new Deadpool & Wolverine IMAX trailer is currently playing in theaters and a must-see clip from that has found its way online this evening.
First, we see Wolverine telling Wade to put his mask back on while they grab a bite. The Merc with the Mouth points out that it's hard to eat while wearing it, leaving Logan to counter by bluntly stating it's harder for him to keep his food down while the Merc with the Mouth has it off.
We later see the title characters approach Giant-Man's massive skeleton, prompting Deadpool to say it looks like Paul Rudd has finally aged.
It's a fun meta joke and a reference to the fact the Ant-Man star notoriously doesn't seem to grow older as the years go by. Whether this joke will make the final cut remains to be seen, particularly as gags like these are sometimes only used in trailers.

Is Marvel combatting superhero fatigue by incorporating aspects of classic cinema? Not yet apparently, but Ryan Reynolds seemed very interested in doing so at one point. Speaking to Empire for a cover feature on “Deadpool & Wolverine” in next week’s issue, Reynolds told them his first pitch to Kevin Feige for the film was a “‘Rashomon’ story about Wolverine and Deadpool and something that they got into together, but told from three completely different perspectives.”
For context, “Rashomon” is a 1950 Jidaigeki drama from Akira Kurosawa that was the first Japanese film to receive international acclaim, winning the Golden Lion at the 1951 Venice Film Festival, as well as an Honorary Oscar in 1952. The film tells the story of how a samurai was murdered, multiple times through multiple vantage points. Its plot has been repurposed in a number of films and television series over the decades including “The Outrage”, “Courage Under Fire...

With the release of The Fall Guy this weekend, the summer movie season is finally upon us. While it’s a thinner summer than usual due to the dual writer and actors strike bringing movies to a standstill for much of 2023, there should still be a lot of stuff worth checking out, even if the summer seems short of anything that can aspire to Barbenheimer levels of success. Yesterday, we teased some of our most anticipated horror movies, so now we’re tackling the rest of the blockbusters in our 2024 summer movie preview!
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (May 10)
In my opinion, there’s never been a bad Planet of the Apes movie. Going all the way back to the classic 1968 original and its four sequels, through Tim Burton’s remake and the Caesar trilogy from Fox, all of the movies have at least been interesting. With Disney now owning 20th Century Studios,...

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is currently the most important MCU release for several reasons. The movie is generating incredible amounts of hype due to being the movie that brings Deadpool to the MCU, having Wolverine and lots of cameos in it, and being the MCU’s first “R” rated movie.
Surprisingly enough, not all plans for the movie paid off. In a recent interview for Empire, Reynolds revealed that he rejected the original ideas he had for the movie.
Ryan apparently wanted to make a large-scale movie in a small way, and it wasn’t something that Feige had seen being successful.

Will Ferrell has his fair share of fans who are fascinated by his comedic genius. Being one step ahead at all times for some of the most notorious jokes, the actors are always up for a challenge. Hugh Grant was one of the quintessential rom-com leading men of the 90s among the likes of Richard Gere and Leonardo DiCaprio. He was a popular heartthrob who managed to impress fans with his natural charm and his nonchalant humor. His roles in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones’ Diary, and Love Actually made audiences swoon in the 90s and early 2000s.
Hugh Grant as William Thacker in Notting Hill
Another one of Grant’s popular films was 2002’s Two Weeks Notice where he was paired with Sandra Bullock. The duo had met five years prior and they had discussed working together. But Grant made a pretty bad impression on Bullock by narrating what he calls a ‘disgusting story’, which led to Grant not hearing from the actress for over 3 years.

Red Notice ft Dwayne Johnson & Ryan Reynolds ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Red Notice is one of the biggest Netflix movies released in 2021. The action comedy heist thriller brought together three big Hollywood stars: Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, the film received an amazing response from the viewers.
It has been three years since Red Notice was released, and many are waiting for an update on the sequel. The film has an interesting ending that teases us with the possibility of more. Fans also loved Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson’s camaraderie on screen. Even the script is almost ready. So what’s the issue? Well, there’s a disappointing update. Reynolds and Johnson are reportedly why the sequel was not yet happening.

After the tremendous revelation of all the superheroes and villains coming back and debuting through Deadpool & Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the latest reports are now suggesting that Channing Tatum’s Gambit will not only make his first live-action appearance through it but will also apparently fight a diabolical villain in the movie. But he won’t be alone through this.

As it seems, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra will be returning to the screens and joining the forces as well, and will reportedly be seen fighting side-by-side with Tatum’s mutant against this big bad. Then there are all the other superheroes reported to appear in the film, who are all expected to overpower this villain, who is none other than Cassandra Nova and her reported supervillain league.

Marvel Studios has started ramping up Deadpool & Wolverine's marketing campaign, and Iron Studios has today shared a first look at an upcoming 1/10th scale statue.
As you'll see below, it depicts Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), Logan (Hugh Jackman), and Dogpool in a pretty unique way. Does this mean we can expect Wolverine to actually carry Deadpool like this at some point in the threequel? We really hope so.
By now, we've seen a fair bit of Wolverine's costume, but this statue has the distinct honour of showing us what it looks like from behind. There's nothing much to write home about in that respect (it's not rocking a big "X" logo or anything), but it's an overall great design.
Of course, it raises the question of how Marvel Studios plans on matching this when they introduce Earth-616's Wolverine in the eventual X-Men reboot. Perhaps that Variant will don Logan's brown suit.

The UK sports media have got excited this weekend with reports that Will Ferrell is the latest movie star to bring his celebrity, and his wallet, to English football.
The Sun newspaper was the first to print its exclusive that the Elf star had bought a “large stake” in Leeds United Football Club after falling in love with the British game, and other UK media have been swift to pick up the story.
While Leeds Fc have refused to confirm Ferrell’s arrival in its boardroom, saying they never comment on individual stakeholders, The Sun reports that the comedic actor had paid the club’s US owners 49ers Enterprises, that his involvement will be unveiled in a few days and quotes an insider confirming: “It’s true – Will Ferrell owns a share of Leeds. Spider-Man finally made his cameo in X-Men ’97. The web-slinger was seen in the latest episode of the X-Men revival, swinging through New York City, as Magneto’s global Emp shut down the power grids of the world, plunging humanity into the dark ages and depowering every Prime Sentinel in the world.

Guys rock! Who doesn't love guys? Whether they're free or falling, guys really have a lot to offer. The latest guy movie on the scene is "The Fall Guy," starring Ryan Gosling as the titular guy: a professional stunt guy who accidentally becomes targeted by a bunch of criminal guys. The film was directed by David Leitch, who has previously directed other guys in movies like "John Wick," "Deadpool 2," and "Bullet Train."
After grossing $10.4 million on its opening day, including $3.15 million from Thursday previews, "The Fall Guy" is now on track to gross around $28 million in its opening weekend (per Variety). That puts it on par with another recent guy movie, "Free Guy," which starred Ryan Gosling's fellow Ryan (and fellow guy), Ryan Reynolds. "Free Guy" grossed $28.3 million upon its release in 2021 and went on to make $331 million worldwide -- a modest success against its $100-125 million budget.

Deadpool 2 revolved around the Merc with the Mouth's unlikely friendship with Cable, while Deadpool and Wolverine will put the spotlight on...well, the title gives it away!
There's been some confusion about Cable's absence given his use of time travel and Josh Brolin has said on multiple occasions he's not set to appear in the threequel. Now, though, the Dune: Part Two star seems to be hinting that he is the movie!
Interestingly, reshoots are currently taking place with the main intention being to add more cameos to Deadpool & Wolverine. Could that be what's led to Brolin's apparent return as Cable?
"I don't know where it puts me. I'd like to know, though, because a lot of people are asking. Was I there? Did I forget?" the actor teases in the video below. "You know, Ryan Reynolds hit me up the other day and he said, 'Congratulations on Dune.

This article contains spoilers for X-Men ’97.
X-Men ’97 head writer and producer Beau DeMayo has recommended a slew of material for audiences to watch and read in preparation for episodes to come, which usually point towards what fans can expect from the show in the coming weeks.
X-Men’ 97
This week’s recommendations came in the form of the X-Men story Fatal Attractions, certain plot points of which have already been set in motion in Episode 8 of X-Men ’97. We saw Magneto declare war on Humanity, and Professor X appears in the nick of time to assemble his X-Men to fight whatever the Master of Magnetism has in store.
However, if these plot points lead to the same end destination that the comic book does, fans might be in for one of Wolverine’s most brutal scenes from the comics.

Before becoming our beloved Ken and doing big in Hollywood, Ryan Gosling shared the screen as a child actor with late Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds in 1996’s Frankenstein & Me. Reynolds was known to be not a very friendly face back then. However, when he showed a different attitude to Gosling, the latter thought he succeeded in impressing his high-profile co-star.
Nevertheless, the happiness was short-lived for the Notebook actor. Gosling was shocked to realize that Reynolds’ affectionate behavior was not meant for him but targeted at his mother, Donna Gosling.

The late Burt Reynolds was one of the biggest Hollywood stars and rocked the pop culture world of the 1970s. It was not wrong for Ryan Gosling to attempt to strike a friendship with his much-experienced co-star. Regardless, the scenario played out a bit differently than he expected.
How did Donna Gosling steal Ryan Gosling’s spotlight?...

Have you ever wondered what might happen if the DNA of two of the most vigorous characters in the Marvel Universe came together? Although Wolverine is widely recognized for being a recluse, nomad, and man who would be better off without romance, Logan’s numerous offsprings demonstrate that his lethal abilities are too great to be limited to a single generation.
Although many X-Men fans still have a soft spot for the original films, one of the main criticisms leveled is that they seemed to focus more on the two lead actors in each series than on the actual X-Men. The earlier flicks functioned more as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, while the later ones functioned more as Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique.
Nevertheless, the fact remains that while fans genuinely adore these two characters off-screen, the same cannot be said for their son.

The "X-Men" film franchise was one of the superhero genre's first bonafide success stories. After debuting in 2000 to decent reviews and solid gold box office, Marvel's mutants added a new level of legitimacy to comic book adaptations on film and provided a runway for other characters to make it to the silver screen. It's a shame, then, that a franchise once emblematic of its genre's greatest potential has since succumbed to its worst qualities: overcomplicated canon, problematic players behind the scenes (his name rhymes with Shmyan Shminger), and corporate interests milking spin-offs for all they could be worth, even as the udders run dry. If it weren't for the Disney-Fox merger and Marvel Studios' plan for mutant integration into the MCU, the "X-Men" franchise would be as close to dead-in-the-water as you can be.

Ryan Garcia Challenges Conor McGregor To a Fight After The Irish Boxer Calls For His Lifetime Ban: “I’ll Fight You In The Street”:(Photo Credit –Instagram)
Ryan Garcia isn’t going down easily after Conor McGregor unleashed a rage-filled rant against the 25-year-old American boxer. The tirade comes amid Ryan Garcia testing positive for a banned substance before and after the fight against Devin Haney in Brooklyn on April 20. Garcia, who emerged as a heavy underdog in his fight against Devin Haney, was also three pounds overweight.
While Garcia denied taking the drug, the news didn’t go down well with the boxing community, including Conor McGregor, who ripped into Ryan Garcia for allegedly cheating. In a since-deleted tweet, Mcgregor, who has historically spoken out against performance enhancers of any kind, wasn’t buying Garcia’s vehement denial and even called for his lifetime ban from the sport.

Break out Tom Cruise’s famous coconut cake, the wait is finally over. “Hacks,” TV’s funniest comedy about comedy, is back after a lengthy hiatus. The third season picks up a year after the events of Season 2, which saw Deborah (Emmy winner Jean Smart) fire her writing partner, Ava (Emmy nominee Hannah Einbinder), following the successful release of her comedy special so Ava could finally begin developing her own career.
The new season, the first two episodes of which are now streaming on Max, is as sharp and funny as ever as the two friends find their way back to one another when Deborah decides to have another go at hosting a late-night show. The enviable list of guest stars for the nine-episode season includes J. Smith-Cameron, Helen Hunt, Christina Hendricks and Christopher Lloyd. It’s been nearly twenty-five years since Hugh Jackman strapped on the adamantium claws for the very first X-Men movie back in 2000. He went on to play Wolverine in eight different movies, but to the disappointment of fans, he has never worn the character’s distinctive costume from the comics… until now.
At long last, Hugh Jackman will finally wear a comic-accurate costume in Deadpool & Wolverine, and the actor told Empire that he can’t believe they’ve never done it before. “We almost did it in The Wolverine,” Jackman said. “But from the moment I put it on here, I was like, ‘How did we never do this?’ It looked so right, it felt so right. Last summer, a report that Ben Affleck was spotted on the set of Marvel Studios' Deadpool and Wolverine did the rounds online.
Since it had already been confirmed that the R-rated threequel would include a bit of Multiversal madness and a few cameos (we now know it'll be more than a few), this understandably led to speculation that Affleck might be set to make an appearance as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and the news that Jennifer Garner's Elektra will be involved only added fuel to the fire.
Affleck returning as the Man Without Fear always did seem unlikely, since the actor has never looked back particularly fondly on his time as the Hell's Kitchen vigilante That said, he's always had a sense of humor about it at the same time, so a fun cameo wouldn't have been too big a stretch.
Now, Daniel Richtman is reporting that Affleck definitely won't...

Six years after "Deadpool 2" became a huge hit (technically Brad Pitt's biggest movie), we're finally getting a third entry in the wildly popular superhero franchise. This time, Ryan Reynolds is suiting up again as the Merc with a Mouth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a wild, R-rated trip through the multiverse. Not only that, he's also called upon Hugh Jackman to put on the claws once more, with the actor suiting up as Wolverine for the first time since 2017's "Logan." The resulting film is director Shawn Levy's "Deadpool & Wolverine," which figures to be one of the biggest movies of the summer. However, arriving at the story at the center of this superhero blockbuster was no small task, as it turns out.

Had Disney not acquired 20th Century Fox, it's likely we'd have already sat down in theaters to watch Deadpool 3 by now. Very little has been revealed about what the original version of the movie was, though we've heard Ryan Reynolds always wanted Hugh Jackman to return.
With Marvel Studios calling the shots, the Merc with the Mouth will now take centre stage in an epic Multiversal blockbuster. And yes, Wolverine will be by his side (this time in a comic-accurate costume).
Talking to Empire Online, Reynolds reveals that he originally pictured Deadpool 3 as a "Rashomon story about Wolverine and Deadpool and something that they got into together, but told from three completely different perspectives." He'd add, "It was a way to make a large-scale movie in a very small way."
We'd assume those perspectives were Deadpool, Wolverine, and a third mystery character, but when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige heard the pitch.

“Deadpool and Wolverine” is poised to be one of the biggest movies of the year thanks to the pairing of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who is returning to his iconic X-Men role for the first time in seven years. Jackman’s return is skyrocketing buzz around the comic book film, which is much needed for Marvel Studios after a rocky 2023 that saw movies such as “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “The Marvels” flop at the box office. It might come as a surprise, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed to Empire that he originally warned Jackman against playing Wolverine again.
“I said, ‘Let me give you a piece of advice, Hugh. Don’t come back,’” Feige said. “‘You had the greatest ending in history with ‘Logan.’ That’s not something we should undo.’”

Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer are heading to Sherwood Forest for one last hurrah.
The “Wolverine” star and the “Killing Eve” actress are attached to star in “The Death of Robin Hood,” a cheery-sounding new film from Michael Sarnoski, the director of the critically-acclaimed “Pig” and this summer’s “A Quiet Place: Day One.”
According to the official logline, the film will find Robin Hood “grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder.” Instead of the merry outlaw seen in certain previous versions of the story like the one portrayed by Errol Flynn, this Robin Hood is “a battleworn loner [who] finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman, who offers him a chance at salvation.” It sounds reminiscent of Richard Lester’s elegiac take on the popular story, “Robin and Marian,” a 1976 film starring Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn as a middled-aged Robin Hood and Maid Marian.

For a while there, Deadpool’s future looked uncertain. Despite his two mega-smash movies under 20th Century Fox, the Disney-Fox takeover brought up all kinds of questions about what would happen next. Was there a place for him in Kevin Feige’s MCU? Could he still be deeply R-rated under the ownership of Disney? How would he fit with plans to bring mutants into the world that Iron Man built? Thankfully, the answer became clear: Deadpool does whatever Deadpool wants. Deadpool & Wolverine: Kevin Feige Advised Hugh Jackman Not To Return After Logan; New Still Released
There was a lot of excitement when it was announced that Hugh Jackman would be reprising the role of Wolverine for a team-up with the Merc With a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) in Marvel Studios' Deadpool movie, but not everyone was fully on board.
For many fans, James Mangold's Logan was the perfect send-off for Jackman's take on the iconic mutant, and there was a perception that bringing the character back would only cheapen his emotional farewell.
As it turns out, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige felt the same way!
“I said, ‘Let me give you a piece of advice, Hugh. Don’t come back’,” Feige recalls to Empire. “‘You had the greatest ending in history with Logan. That’s not something we should undo.’”
Feige came around to the idea when it was explained that Jackman would be playing a different Variant of Wolverine for this movie, which was confirmed in the recent trailer.
