Black History Month has gotten off to a rocky start this year, and white people fully deserve the blame. Between Virginia hosting not one, but two politicians who have donned blackface, and Liam Neeson openly admitting to once seeking to kill a black man, white ignorance has threatened to overshadow the already too short month in the year that celebrates African American contributions to this country. Thankfully, at least one white person is aiming to correct the imbalance. “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee” will release a Black History Month segment peppered with equal amounts laughs and facts, which IndieWire is debuting exclusively.
Titled “Great Moments in Black History,” the segment is told from a clueless white person’s perspective. As a disembodied voice (segment producer Adam Howard) asks ridiculous questions from behind the camera, the best and brightest black comedians and political commentators patiently school the dweeb, who clearly represents collective white nonsense.

Whether it's Mark Ruffalo feeling the Bern, Caitlyn Jenner putting her faith in Donald Trump or Lena Dunham stumping for Hillary Clinton, a celebrity endorsement can have a significant impact on a presidential campaign - especially when it comes to 2016's crowded Republican field. Mike Cobb, a political science professor at North Carolina State University who has studied the effect of celebrity political endorsements, tells Vocativ, "If I'm a Republican and I'm voting amongst eight Republicans, my party affiliation doesn't help me pick which one anymore, so how am I gonna choose? A celebrity endorsing one of the candidates...

★☆☆☆☆ Of all its numerous misdemeanours, the most heinous that Dominic Brunt's vile Bait (2014) commits is its attempt to convince you that it isn't the grim, misogynistic horror that it ultimately turns out to be. Its two female protagonists, Bex (Victoria Smurfit) and Dawn (Joanne Mitchell), begin the film as feisty, independently-minded individuals, running their own market stall selling organic tea and cakes and attempting to secure a loan to expand into a shop. They're well-drawn and smartly acted at first, with realistic lives and realistic aspirations that don't involve men and it initially feels refreshing to see a home-grown genre flick that seems rooted in the lives of women.
Sadly, the idea that they might be resourceful and capable enough to handle whatever a horror film might throw at them soon dissipates when they meet Jeremy (Jonathan Slinger), a sneering loan shark who begins extorting them, threatening them with...

This just in: the latest reports in the blogosphere are pointing to Adam Howard (who was the visual effects supervisor for films such as The Social Network and X-Men Origins: Wolverine) joining the visual effects team for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Check out the reports below via MackenzieFoy.com:
In The Social Network the Winklevoss Twins were made using special effect’s just like the ones that will be used on Renesmee in Breaking Dawn. They were created by having model/actor Josh Pence play one of the brothers in scenes where both Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss are together.
Armie Hammer played the other Winklevoss. After he had filmed his scenes he went into a studio, where they strapped his head into a harness to film that twin’s face and voice. It was then digitally superimposed over Pence’s face, creating a sort of hybrid actor with Hammer’s head and Pence’s body.
The two worked with an acting coach together for months, developing movements and speech patterns that the real life twins would have. Even though Renesmee is not a twin the same effects will be carried out on her in the studio. The ‘Little Renesmee’s’ will provide the body of Renesmee at different ages but will Always have Mackenzie’s head ‘morphed’ onto them making her seemlessly grow rapidly over the course of the film.
Check out Adam’s IMDb page here where it lists Breaking Dawn parts one and two as his current projects.
We all know that Mackenzie Foy will require a lot of CGI in her rapid growth throughout the story so with Adam’s recent work on The Social Network with Armie Hammer, it seems like this could be a great fit!
What do you think of these reports? Do you feel comfortable having someone like Adam working on the films?...
