“Act Your Age” earns another win for Alyson Fouse and Bounce TV.
The sitcom starring Kym Whitley, Tisha Campbell, and Yvette Nicole Brown opened to an audience of 2.14 million total viewers with its two-episode back-to-back premiere on March 4 on Bounce TV, according to figures from Nielsen. Thus, making it the most-watched half-hour series launch in Bounce history.
The initial airing was also pushed with a special presentation on Bounce’s sister network, Ion.
“It’s the storytelling. It’s wonderful and I think there needs to be something said about how it really well represents black women in America today. That’s a real breath of fresh air,” said executive producer and David Hudson. “It’s fun, it’s funny, it’s engaging, it’s reflective. I think it has real broad appeal for a lot of women, men as well.”

A former associate director at the Melbourne Theatre Company (Mtc), Caceres will develop one of her high profile theatre projects with Start Vr.
“The project is part musical-confession, part exploration of theoretical physics, a meditation on art, mortality and transcendence, and the opportunity to shape this experience in a virtual space has me very excited,” said Caceres.
Ryan Griffen’s ‘Lustration’.

Netflix has canceled “All About the Washingtons.”
The scripted comedy starred Joseph Simmons — Rev. Run of Run-D.M.C. — and real-life wife Justine Simmons playing fictionalized versions of themselves raising a family of four kids. Netflix has opted not to renew for a second season All About the Washingtons, its multi-camera comedy series starring Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons & Justine Simmons. The decision comes two months after the release of the series’ 10-episode first season, which didn’t seem to get a lot of traction.
Created by Jeremy Bronson (The Mayor), All About The Washingtons had a twisty road to the screen. The pitch originally landed at ABC in fall 2016 with a put pilot commitment. It did not get a pilot order, but, believing in the concept and the talent, producing companies Amblin TV and ABC Studios pulled together resources and used the penalty money to finance a pilot presentation. The presentation was well received by ABC brass but the broadcast network only picked up three new comedy series that year, including Bronson’s The Mayor, and got out of the multi-camera comedy business all together.

An unexplained series of events occur on a Vegas tram; unexplained until the CSIs are on the case, that is. Nick (George Eads) returns from Hawaii after a seminar to find the joke's on him. The new boss, Db Russell (Ted Danson) lies on the tram floor and Nick thinks he's just a Db, which he is. Db by name, but not a real Db! Nick's reaction to his name, his initials is exactly what I thought when it was revealed who Ted was going to play in the show. Db as many know stands for 'dead body.' The others can only laugh and disappear. Nick isn't too happy to be the butt of their joke and he and Db don't really seem to hit it off - not like Nick and Ray (Laurence Fishburne). Two people were killed on the tram and three were injured. One Vic, Tom (Nathan Anderson) was stabbed.

John Michael Higgins on Happily Divorced (with Nathan Anderson)
Whether it’s his film work on those hilarious Christopher Guest productions like Best In Show, television work as David Letterman in the bio-pic The Late Show or The Good Wife or originating the title role in the off-Broadway production of Paul Rudnick’s Jeffrey, John Michael Higgins is one of those actors you’ve seen in just about every medium imaginable and, more times than not, he’s playing a gay character.
In the TV Land sitcom, Happily Divorced, Higgins again plays gay, this time as character Peter Lovett, who figures out he’s gay while married to his wife, Fran, played by Fran Drescher. The setup? The couple divorce only to remain in each other’s lives. Mirroring Drescher’s real-life experience with her ex, Peter Marc Jacobson, the closeness between the two is the heart of the series.
