“Hacks” is back on Max for Season 3 on May 2, and the streaming service released a new trailer for the Emmy-winning comedy on Tuesday.
In Season 3, Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder) reunites with Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) after Deborah fired her at the end of Season 2 so Ava could pursue her own dreams. Now, after months apart, they’re both at different places in their careers – with the success of her special, Deborah is back on top, while Ava has enough self-respect to demand that Deborah not make fun of her appearance (yeah right) – and they’re going to try to take advantage of their momentum. “Anything I want to do, I have to do them now,” Deborah tells Ava. She has to strike while the curling iron is hot.

Legendary funnyman Adam Sandler has been making audiences laugh for years. He recently confirmed that Happy Gilmore would be getting a sequel. According to Sandler, he wants a familiar face for Happy Gilmore 2. So, who is it?
Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore Is A Classic
Adam Sandler has been making audiences laugh for decades. Depending on who you ask, some viewers like his films from the 90s more than anything he has done in the 2000s or beyond, and vice-versa. Wherever you fall on that debate, there’s no denying that Adam Sandler has consistently put out solid films for his entire career.
One of Sandler’s classic films is Happy Gilmore. Originally released in 1996, Happy Gilmore tells the story of a former hockey player who makes the switch to golf. Happy Gilmore was one of Sandler’s big hits, so, it makes sense that fans have been demanding a sequel.

Update: It looks like Christopher McDonald was right about Adam Sandler working on the script for Happy Gilmore. Sandler’s fave co-star and longtime pal Drew Barrymore confirmed, in a clip from today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, that the sequel is indeed happening. “I want it. I need it. And I stayed up last night with my daughter watching Billy Madison,” says Barrymore, adding later, “I’ll just say this, from my source, that it is in process.”
Barrymore famously starred with Sandler in three movies, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. The two have remained close over the years, with Sandman frequently turning up on her show. While he’s mostly focused on drama recently, including the recent Netflix film Spaceman, Happy Gilmore 2 would likely be warmly received by fans, especially if co-stars Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen return.

The comedy realm is dealt another big blow as the world says goodbye to Joe Flaherty. According to Exclaim, the Sctv legend had been dealing with a sickness and was said to be “very ill.” In late February, Flaherty’s Second City brother, Martin Short, sent a message to their Sctv peers to fundraise for his home care in his last days, which amounted to $20K a month. Short had said that they had been made aware of the gravity of his condition and Flaherty chose to spend the rest of his life at home with his daughter rather than at a facility. Adam Sandler’s sports comedy film Happy Gilmore was a controversial project, as evident in its mixed reviews from critics. It took so many liberties with the rules of golf that even a professional player could not believe the script even existed.

The movie ended up becoming a commercial success, though, and with that, it is getting a sequel. Happy Gilmore 2 has been announced by actor Christopher McDonald.
Professional Golfer Could Not Believe Adam Sandler’s Original Script For Happy Gilmore
Golf pro Mark Lye was hired as Happy Gilmore’s official script consultant and upon reading the paper, he kept crossing out parts that should not be there, probably shaking his head as he did that, and wondering if there was anything they got right. He said via PGA Tour:
“You gotta be crazy. You cannot do a movie like that. They had the green jacket.

Happy Gilmore star Christopher McDonald said he’s seen a script for a sequel to Adam Sandler’s popular golf comedy. Brace yourselves for Happy Gilmore 2…
Of all the comedy films Adam Sandler made in the 1990s, few are as beloved as Happy Gimore. Directed by regular collaborator Denis Dugan and written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, the film followed Sandler as the titular character, an aspiring ice hockey player who enters a high-profile golfing tournament to earn money to buy his grandmother’s house. Though his angry outbursts and profane patter initially cause outrage, his skill and tenacity eventually win through in the end.
Featuring memorable supporting turns from the much missed Carl Weathers, the imposing Richard Kiel, also known as Jaws from the James Bond films The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, and a violent clash with genial game show host Bob Barker, the film also saw...

Adam Sandler is one of the most prolific comedy actors working in Hollywood right now. The actor has his particular brand of comedy, with his gruff voice, loud humor, and the inclusion of Kevin James in many of his films. Though the actor has proved his acting chops in more dramatic roles such as Punch-Drunk Love and Uncut Gems, his comedic roles are still classics.
One of his breakthrough comedies was the sports comedy Happy Gilmore. The film follows the story of an ice hockey player who competes in a local golf tournament. The film was a huge commercial hit, putting Sandler on the map as a bonafide comedy star. His co-star Christopher McDonald mentioned that Sandler had shown him a copy of a sequel for the film.

Fellow '90s kids, this one's for us. Take one of our greatest comedic stars at the height of his powers, add a little golf (by way of hockey), and sprinkle in one unforgettable cameo by the legendary Bob Barker, and you get a beloved comedy classic in "Happy Gilmore." It may have taken the better part of 30 years, but all signs are pointing to a long-overdue sequel after years and years of rumors over whether "Happy Gilmore 2" would ever actually happen.
The potentially headline-grabbing news, reported with a healthy dose of caveats, comes courtesy of Deadline ... and from a somewhat unlikely source. Rather than getting the news straight from either the studio or Sandler himself, actor Christopher McDonald (who played the awfully unlikable yet aptly named pro golfer Shooter McGavin) revealed the new development while participating in a radio interview on Audacy's 92.3 The Fan. Obviously, the two parties were never meant to stay apart for long, and the new teaser opens with an unexpected reunion in a hotel elevator.
