Italian adult-film star Moana Pozzi was born on April 27, 1961, in Genova, Italy. In 1981 she began her film career, appearing in small uncredited parts in films and on television. Five years later she appeared in the Federico Fellini film Ginger & Fred (1986). It was on the set of this film that she met Ilona Staller, known better by her porn name of "Cicciolina". It was soon afterwards that Pozzi began appearing in hardcore sex films, under her real name. It wasn't long before she became a national sensation in Italy, eventually exceeding even Cicciolina's popularity.
In her 1991 autobiography, "La Filosofia di Moana", she hints at affairs and sexual liaisons with a variety of prominent and important men in Italian society (including, rumor had it, former Prime Minister Bettino Craxi. That same year she and Staller started the Partito dellAmore (Party of Love), a short-lived political organization whose platform called for the legalization of brothels, improved sexual health and "love parks", but the party did poorly in the 1992 elections, and did no better in the next round of elections in 1993.
Unfortunately, she contracted liver cancer and died of the disease in Lyon, France, in 1994, at age 33. It wasn't long, though, before dark rumors began circulating about her death; one was that she actually died of AIDS instead of liver cancer, another being that she had faked her death because she wanted to leave both porn and politics, and yet another claiming that prominent members of the new government of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi had been among those who had had affairs with Pozzi, and in order to avoid embarrassment they had her quietly "silenced". The fact that no one except her family had actually seen her body added fuel to the rumors.
In 1999 the film Guardami (1999) was released, which was largely based on Pozzi's life. In September of 2005, Italian federal prosecutors announced that they would re-open the investigation of her death, due to the discovery of many errors and inconsistencies in the original official report. The next month a report on Italian television aired that gave the official register of deaths of the cemetery in Lyon where she was buried, revealing that she had indeed died of liver cancer and that her body had been cremated.- Vanessa Alves was born on 4 September 1963 in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. She is an actress, known for Suburban Angels (1987), Amazon Jail 2 (1987) and Amazon Jail (1985).

Like many other female Italian film stars, Claudia Cardinale's entry into the business was by way of a beauty pageant. She was 17 years old and studying at the Centro Sperimentale in Rome when she entered a beauty contest, which resulted in her getting a succession of small film roles. Her earthy interpretations of Sicilian women got her noticed by Italian producers, and the combination of her beauty, dark, flashing eyes, explosive sexuality and genuine acting talent virtually guaranteed her stardom. After Careless (1962) she rose to the front ranks of Italian cinema, and became an international star in Federico Fellini's classic 8½ (1963) with Marcello Mastroianni. American audiences may best remember her from her starring role in Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West (1968).- Actress

Samantha Morton has established herself as one of the finest actors of her generation, winning Oscar nominations for her turns in Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown (1999) and Jim Sheridan's In America (2002). She has the talent to become one of the major performers in the cinema of this young century.
Samantha Morton was born on May 13, 1977 in Nottingham, England to parents who divorced when she was three years old. Peter and Pamela Morton took other spouses and made Samantha part of a mixed family of 13; she has eight brothers and sisters. She turned to play-acting early in her life, while she was a school-girl.
At 13, she left regular school to train as an actress at the Central Junior Television Workshop, where she learned her craft for three years. It was at the end of her training then that she decided that a life as a professional actress was for her.
She honed her skills in television roles, working her way up from series television to TV-movies and prestigious mini-series, such as Emma (1996) and Jane Eyre (1997). Her first major film role, Under the Skin (1997), won her the Best Actress Award from the Boston Film Critics Society. Woody Allen cast her as Hattie, the "dumb" (unspeaking) lover of Sean Penn's caddish jazz guitarist in Sweet and Lowdown (1999), a beautiful performance in a role that could have flummoxed a less-talented performer. Penn was Oscar-nominated for his performance, but it was Morton's Hattie that was central to the success of the film, Allen's last unqualified success. She provided the moral and narrative center of the film. It was quite a remarkable performance for a 21-year old as she had to do all her acting with her face, having been shorn of her voice. The role of Hattie won Morton a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination.
Ironically, Morton had never seen a Woody Allen movie before. (She grew up watching the TV and listening to the radio.) She agreed to do the film after reading the script (as she says, well-written roles for women are hard to find), and the movie made her a hot commodity in Hollywood after she won the Oscar nomination. (She lost out to Angelina Jolie). Morton was offered many roles, but was very choosy as she was not in acting as a game with a payoff of stardom and money.
She had consolidated her reputation by following up the Allen film with work in indie features that showed that she was not only talented, but quite courageous as a performer. She played a heroin addict in the underrated Jesus' Son (1999) and gave a brilliant performance in Morvern Callar (2002), the story of a Scottish supermarket clerk coping with her boyfriend's suicide.
Steven Spielberg cast her, opposite superstar Tom Cruise, as the clairvoyant in Minority Report (2002), in which she more than held her own opposite Cruise and the special effects. (She took the role as Cruise and Steven Spielberg are favorites of hers). As good as she was, Morton was better served by Irish director Jim Sheridan, Sheridan cast her as a character modeled after his wife in an autobiographical picture more in line with persona and that made better use of her talents. Her performance as the young Irish mother coping with life in New York City in In America (2002) won her numerous critics' awards and another Oscar nod, this time as Best Actress.
At this point, one feels that the odds of her winning the Oscar are even or better. Samantha Morton continues to deliver fine work in provocative films such as Michael Winterbottom's Code 46 (2003), though she is branching out towards the mainstream, taking a role in the remake of that perennial family favorite, Lassie (2005).- Actress

In 2011, she appeared as Arianna in BBC TV's Italian detective mini-series Zen (2011). The London "Times" commenting on her role as follows: "Zen" (Rufus Sewell) need only walk into a Lavazzatore for B-movie-rank Gina Lollo to press her amples into his chest. Gretchen Mol was born November 8, 1972, in Deep River, Connecticut, the daughter of a school principal, James Mol, and his artist wife, Janet. Deep River is a small community located on the Chester Bowles Highway (Rt. 9), nine miles northwest of Old Saybrook (home of the legendary Katharine Hepburn), within commuting distance of New York City. The young Gretchen was bit by the acting bug and participated in high school theatrics, then moved to the Big Apple as a teenager to study acting and musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and at the William Esper Studio.
Although only 5'6" tall--too short for a traditional modeling career--her unique beauty brought her modeling jobs as she pursued her dream of becoming a professional actress. She began appearing in magazines in 1994, meanwhile working at such time-honored Manhattan jobs as restaurant hat-check girl. It was while working that gig she was discovered by a talent agent. The agent landed her her first acting job, a TV commercial for Coca-Cola. She continued to hone her acting skills in summer stock, appearing in such productions as "Bus Stop," "No Exit," and "Godspell."
The 23-year-old Gretchen made her film debut in Spike Lee's Girl 6 (1996), a small role that came to her, as luck would have it, after she had gone for an audition for the soap opera Guiding Light (1952). Her career began to take off, and she appeared in small parts, mostly "girlfriend" roles, in such films as Rounders (1998) starring 'Matt Damon' (qav) and in Woody Allen's Celebrity (1998), opposite Kenneth Branagh and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Gretchen was touted as the "Next Big Thing" after appearing on the cover of the September 1998 issue of "Vanity Fair." Her most memorable role up to that time was as a mobster's moll in the minor cult classic Donnie Brasco (1997), which was mostly remembered for cinematic turns by Al Pacino, Johnny Depp and Anne Heche. Nonetheless, her beauty and presence led "Vanity Fair" to hype the beautiful blonde, heralding the arrival of a major new star. She seemed poised to move up to featured roles. but the announcement turned out to be premature. Brunette Angelina Jolie proved to be Hollywood's Next "It" girl.
During the seven years that followed the "Vanity Fair" cover story, Mol continued to appear in films and on the stage, including the part of Jennie in the London and New York productions of Neil LaBute's "The Shape of Things" in 2001 (she also appeared in the film version, The Shape of Things (2003)). The good reviews she got proved that she was not just another pretty face. In 2004 she displayed her singing and dancing chops by playing Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of "Chicago."
She worked steadily, appearing in another small role in Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown (1999), and eventually won the lead in David E. Kelley TV series Girls Club (2002). The series bombed, however, and was canceled after only two episodes. Nevertheless, the intervening period allowed her to develop as an actress. In 2004 the blonde beauty finally had the role that proved to be her acting breakthrough: brunette 1950s "stag queen" Bettie Page in The Notorious Bettie Page (2005). Many brunettes have gone blonde, but Mol--the blonde who went brunette--rocked the screen with her presence. Her embodiment of the legendary Page garnered excellent reviews and propelled the flick into art house hit status.
Mol married film director Tod Williams on June 1, 2004, and they became parents a little over three years later, when a son, Ptolemy John Williams, was born on October 10, 2007.- Joanne King was born on 20 April 1983 in Dublin, Ireland. She is an actress, known for Casualty (1986), The Tudors (2007) and Angel of Decay (2016).

She makes her home in New York. 10/2020- Russian actress Yulia Khlynina is known for her numerous prominent roles in film and theater. The star, like a chameleon, masterfully mimics any situation, which causes the sincere admiration of spectators and critics.
Khlynina is a native of Moscow, born in January 1992. Yulia was still young when her parents divorced. She was raised by her mother and grandmother, and did not get close to her father until she finished school. They used to see each other mostly on weekends.
It was not clear that Khlynina was going to become an actress. In her school years she was better at science. The good experience of appearing in public thanks to ballroom dancing aroused her interest. But such an expensive activity was out of the family's reach.
For some time the young girl participated in a drama club. Even then, teachers emphasized her creative potential, but Khlynina still had her doubts. After finishing school, she scored enough points in her exams to choose any university in Russia. Yulia applied to the Mining Institute, Moscow State University, the Nuclear Research Institute and the Moscow Art Theater School. When she was accepted to all of them, she realized that she wanted to study at drama school.
The teacher of the novice actress was the famous Konstantin Raykin . According to Khlynina's confession, his support gave her strength to finish her studies. He laughed louder than everyone about her sketches, and believed that Yulia from birth given a gift to be an actress. In the end, she lived up to expectations.
Khlynina believes that the theater is a litmus test where an actor can check what state he is in. In her student years, she started acting on the stage of the Satirikon Theater, where she played the main role in Romeo and Juliet. But after graduation, Yulia realized that she was too tired of so much responsibility and decided to leave the company.
In 2013 the performer joined the Mossovet Theater, where she soon became one of the leading actresses. Her repertoire includes productions based on classic works by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov and Vladimir Nabokov. For her role in "Le Cocu Magnifique", Khlynina received the Moscow Komsomolets Theater Award.
In addition to the Mossovet Theater, Yulia participates in productions of the Theater of Nations and the Volkov Drama Theater. Her performance in "The Seagull. A Sketch" was nominated for a prestigious theater award, the Golden Mask.
The performer made her TV debut in an episode of the drama series Obmani, esli lyubish (2013-2014) . But for the first time she managed to make a name for herself after Stanislav Govorukhin drew attention to her. He offered Yulia a role in the psychological detective film Weekend [Uik-end] (2013) , based on Noel Calef's novel "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud". The actress got the role of Sonya.
Later other offers followed. Khlynina took every opportunity to appear on screens to prove that she was worthy of being an actress. As a result, her filmography featured several projects a year, and colleagues and journalists never ceased to admire her performances.
In 2015, Yulia appeared before the public as the mysterious Lisa from the TV drama Zakon kamennykh dzhungley (2015-2017) . And the following year she was reincarnated as the fragile young Marfa from the movie Duelyant (2016) .
So brilliant and different from other roles was playing Mirra in Mysterious Passion. On the set, she had to immerse herself in a vintage atmosphere. According to Yulia, she learned a lot about marriage and motherhood.
Among the long-awaited releases of 2017 was the film by Vadim Perelman , Kupi menya (2018) , about the life of three friends. In an interview, Khlynina said that her Katya turned out to be close to her character, which is why she managed to play her so harmoniously.
Also unforgettable is her role in Zvonite DiKaprio!. Her Dasha turned out to be so loving, willing to forgive her lover for everything, and strong enough not to give up in difficult moments. Yulia's on-screen partner was Alexander Petrov , with whom she later met again on the set of the drama Ice 2 (2020) .
In 2019, the biography film "Lev Yashin. Vratar moey mechty" (2019) , in which the actress played the famous wife of the goalkeeper when she was young. Later came the series Koll-tsentr (2020-) . In it, Yulia played a call center operator called Katya.
Then appeared in Khlynina's drama Polyot (2020-2021) , about the employees of a construction company who miraculously escaped from a plane crash. Like the other characters, the life of the young woman, who before the events was a happy bride, changes radically.
The celebrity is still a sought-after actress. At the end of 2021 took place the premiere of the thriller series KrisTina (2021-) , in which Yulia got to play two heroines at once. According to the performer, it was a valuable acting experience.
In 2022 she is the protagonist of the adventure and history TV series Elizaveta (2022-) .
In her personal life, it was not until 2020 that the star broke her silence. She surprised her followers with the news of her wedding by posting a photo in a wedding dress on her Instagram account (the social network is banned in Russia, it belongs to Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia). Yulia's groom was Alexei Milevsky, investment director of Mail ru group. - Actress

Actress and model Teresa Palmer has gathered some impressive film credits. She was born in Adelaide, South Australia, to Kevin Palmer, an investor, and Paula Sanders, a former missionary and nurse. She completed high school at Mercedes College in 2003, where she was a popular student who was well-known for her practical jokes. She worked in a Cotton On outlet in Rundle Mall until she was discovered and cast on the spot--without an audition--in her feature film debut and breakthrough role in 2:37 (2006). Made by first-time writer/director/producer Murali K. Thalluri, the film competed in the 2006 Cannes Film Festival in "Un Certain Regard" and chronicles the lives of six students over the course of day and ends in a devastating suicide.
Teresa immediately went to work on back-to-back film projects including December Boys (2007) opposite "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe--a coming-of-age story about four adolescent orphans, based on the book by Michael Noonan and directed by Rod Hardy (Robinson Crusoe (1997), Buffalo Girls (1995), The X-Files (1993) and The Practice (1997)). She also starred as stripper-turned-criminal "Dale" in the British/Australian co-production Restraint (2008), a film noir/psychological thriller that follows the plight of a pair of fugitives on the run from a murder scene. Directed by David Denneen, the film also features former Calvin Klein model Travis Fimmel and British actor Stephen Moyer. In 2006 Teresa worked with Japanese director Takashi Shimizu on the Sony Pictures production The Grudge 2 (2006). Set in Tokyo, the horror sequel to the box-office hit The Grudge (2004) also starred Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Beals. Later that year Teresa signed on to play the female lead in Doug Liman's action fantasy film Jumper (2008), but was subsequently replaced by Rachel Bilson.
Early 2007 saw her star opposite former boyfriend Topher Grace as the love interest in the retro comedy film Take Me Home Tonight (2011). Shortly after filming ended, Teresa decided to move permanently from Adelaide to Los Angeles following a public split from her then-boyfriend of two years, Australian Rules football star Stuart Dew. Teresa was due to play a small part in George Miller's doomed superhero film "Justice League: Mortal", but the production fell through after months of problems. Teresa briefly dated her "Justice League: Mortal" co-star Adam Brody in early 2008; later that year she had a relationship with British comedian Russell Brand, whom she met on the set of her latest film, Bedtime Stories (2008), a Disney children's comedy starring Lucy Lawless, Guy Pearce and Keri Russell and was released on Christmas 2008.- Actress
