- DirectorKingsley OgoroStarsNkem OwohMara AshtonFrancis Odega'Osuofia in London' offers a variation on an old story: a country bumpkin comes to town, where city slickers try -- and ultimately fail -- to take advantage of him and steal his money. Osuofia lives in a village in south-eastern Nigeria where he talks a lot and drinks a lot of palm wine. His main occupation is as a hunter, at which he is spectacularly unsuccessful. He is hounded by his creditors, and henpecked by his massive wife and five grown-up daughters. Then one day a lawyer's letter arrives to tell him that a long-forgotten brother has died in Britain, leaving him all his money. Osuofia has to go to London to claim his inheritance. This allows the director to have a lot of fun as Osuofia comes face to face with modern plumbing, a full English breakfast, a butler called Jeeves and a park full of pigeons, which finally arouse his hunter's instincts. Meanwhile the crooked lawyer and his glamorous accomplice Samantha (a flame-haired temptress with a disconcerting resemblance to the young Rebecca Brooks) are working to get him to sign away his inheritance. But the thieves fall out and Osuofia makes it back to Nigeria with his fortune intact -- but accompanied by the predatory Samantha, her eyes still firmly on his chequebook. All of which sets things up nicely for a sequel, as Samantha battles with the challenges of life in an African village, and the implacable hostility of the the first Mrs Osuofia.

Chief lives large, like there's no tomorrow, until the day there is no tomorrow--he dies suddenly and the 'bullion van' stops. What's in his will, and who gets all that money? Will Chief Daddy have the last laugh from beyond the grave? It is movies like Chief Daddy that encourage young men to aspire to be wealthy solely for the end of acquiring as many tasty women as they possibly can.
Yes, I do not like this movie, and apart from the fact that I am also a teacher and have studied humans in their most natural and undiluted form, and can see how people in general can easily become whatever they are or will be, this movie is simply disturbing!
Thankfully, it has a few lessons to teach, which hopefully are not clouded by the intoxicating shows of grandeur to misguided viewers.

She's heartbroken when she discovers the man she loves is buying it.It is difficult to believe TIFF screened this movie in 2017; it must have been out of charity and a huge dose of networking. The movie seriously is lacking in depth and originality.

While on a dinner date, Nonso proposes to Deirdre by accident and sets off a chain of events too powerful to stop. Deirdre's upper-crust British family are against the match, as are members of the Nigerian clan, but Deirdre's determination can't be contained, setting off another colourful, chaotic journey to everlasting love.I have witnessed a number of scathing reviews about this movie – about how it does not make much sense and bull. These make me wonder about the level of intelligence of our Nigerian movie watchers. What did you expect?! The Wedding Party (1) had no proper story, depth or compelling leads for a sequel, but one was made which turns out to have an actual story and a myriad of depth. So what’s really the issue?
