- DirectorMaurizio ZaccaroStarsStefania RoccaFranco CastellanoJohannes BrandrupThe story of Mafalda is like the one of Cinderella, just the other way round. The dramatic real story of a Italian princess, born and raised in the comforts of a golden court, who will be forced by war to share the fate of ordinary people in a concentration camp. Mafalda di Savoia was chosen to represent the decline of nobility and the errors of war, which separate and destroy even noble families. Mafalda is a victim of political strategies that overlook her, and her tragic death shows the levelling power of war, that forces poor and rich alike to share the same destiny. Mafalda di Savoia, second born of the King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III, immediately demonstrates great sensibility towards those who cannot share her privileges. Animated by a docile but determined nature, despite her father's will, she falls in love and decides to marry Prince Filippo D'Assia. The King, who does not approve the union of his daughter, a Catholic, with a German and protestant aristocratic, receives strong signals of disapproval from the Pope and Mussolini. The marriage of Mafalda and Filippo is rewarded by the birth of four children, but the historical situation - Fascism, the advent of Nazism and the imminent war - deprive the family of its usual serenity. Filippo spends most of his time in Germany, at Hitler's service, and Mafalda - who does not approve either of Mussolini or Nazism - is watched by the Gestapo. Her sudden attempt to maintain Montenegro outside the area of the Nazis influence, puts the Germans definitively against her. The Italian surrender on 8th September 1943 finds Mafalda on her way back from the funeral of her brother-in-law Boris of Bulgaria. She is alone and unprepared. She is captured by the SS and taken to Buchenwald. In the lager Mafalda is witness of the horrors of Nazism, but she bravely reacts to discouragement, by helping other prisoners. Her goodness of heart overcomes the initial distrust of the Italian prisoners towards the daughter of the traitor king and wins their confidence. In particular Mafalda becomes friends with Sara, a nurse in the lager, with some Italian sailors and with little Miriam, who becomes part of her family. Her proud and determined attitude puts her in contrast with Karl Rüdiger, chief of the camp, who tries to bend her will and to force her to betray her husband Filippo D'Assia. Mafalda does not surrender even if it means she will never see her children again.

- DirectorRic WhiteStarsJames R. AndersonDavid BallassoDavid BayerAs depicted in the film, Edgar Allan Poe was plagued with nightmares and the deaths of those he loved throughout his life. Those nightmares and his tragic life were many times the basis for his stories and poems; often he found himself in them as the victim or antagonist. Nightmares from the Mind of Poe brings to life those nightmares with Poe as part of the stories, as he often dreamed and wrote them. In the movie, he struggles with nightmares, insomnia, sadness and despair in his own life as he creates his stories. The film includes four of the most well-known tales from Edgar Allan Poe, the master of suspense and horror - "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Premature Burial" and "The Raven"; all of which are word for word the way Poe wrote them, except "The Premature Burial" which was adapted from his narrative story. In "The Tell-Tale Heart", Poe takes us to the mind of a mad man as he struggles with the thoughts that caused him to do the unthinkable and kill the old man in-trusted to his care. "The Cask of Amontillado" is the story of ultimate revenge as Montresor punishes Fortunato for insulting him by walling Montresor behind a stone wall while he is still alive. In "The Premature Burial", Poe deals with one of his greatest fears, being buried alive. "The Raven", which was written through Poe's suffering for his dying wife, deals with the dread of death and the "impending doom" of losing a loved one. In the end, Poe realizes that out of his nightmares and tragic life would come his legacy, his stories for future generations.

But what if the FBI, the Chicago police and the enthusiastic onlookers were all wrong about Dillinger's death? Join investigators as they use the best in modern forensic science to answer a number of decades-old questions: Why did the corpse bear little resemblance to pictures of the infamous gangster? - DirectorKevin J. LindenmuthStarsSolanus CaseySolanus Casey might very well become the first America born male Saint. He was a beloved Capuchin Friar who many believe had the ability to heal the sick and prophesize the future. Stories abound of how Solanus' prayers made miracles happen. He was a role model for his time and continues to be so for people today, which is why he has become a candidate for Sainthood. Solanus Casey was born in 1870 on a Wisconsin farm to Irish immigrant parents. He had a very religious upbringing, along with 15 brothers and sisters, two of whom died during the Diphtheria Epidemic. Solanus faced such tragedies as these, by turning to God for strength and guidance. In fact, his encounter with a fatal stabbing, solidified his desire to become a Priest. He struggled through years of religious studies and was eventually ordained a Simplex Priest and assigned the job of Porter. Many believe his lowly position as the Doorkeeper of the Monastery was providential, as it brought him into closer contact with the people, especially the poor and sick. In 1924, he became the Porter of St. Bonaventure in Detroit, where his reputation as the "Peoples Priest" and the "Holy Priest" only increased. During the Great Depression, his concern for the poor inspired the Detroit Capuchins to establish their first Soup Kitchen. His prayers and counsel helped sustain many families during the Polio Epidemic and WWII. Solanus knew when someone would live or die. And he helped people accept the Will of God regardless of the outcome and to have a "happy death." Father Solanus died in 1957 at the age of 86, and his body is entombed in the Monastery at St. Bonaventure. The Solanus Casey Center was built in 2002 as a Pilgrimage Center for all faiths to learn about the living legacy of Father Solanus. And also to bear witness to the miraculous healings that continue to take place today in his name.
