- DirectorStole PopovStarsInti SrajSasko KocevMartin JordanoskiMacedonia is a small country, in the heart of the Balkans, which for five centuries was under the yoke of the Ottoman Empire. The action of the film "To the Hilt" takes place in the years of the general collapse and "free fall", after the Macedonian uprising of 1903 which was extinguished in blood. The story is a love quadrangle between an uncompromising idealist rebel, a merciless Turkish officer, an opportunist rich man's son returning home after his studies in Europe and a lucid and open minded European woman, who flirts with the three men and puts in train a series of events with dire consequences, that she could hardly imagine. The characters go through turbulent collisions which lead them to cathartic experiences and new self-awareness. The film is a harsh and romantic story in which the eternal Macedonian cause for own identity and independence is seen through the prism of relativity of the ideas of freedom, justice, love, sacrifice, and treason. The story dramatizes and parodies the myth and anti-myth of East and West, of Europe and the Balkans. It leads to a boiling point the paradoxes and absurdities of Macedonian history.

- DirectorTristan LoraineStarsKaroline NewmanSMS Emden was the second and final member of the Dresden class of light cruisers built for the Imperial German Navy (Kaiserliche Marine). She was launched in May 1908, and completed in July 1909. Emden was armed with ten 10.5 cm (4.1 in) guns and two torpedo tubes. Emden spent the majority of her career overseas in the German East Asia Squadron, based in Tsingtao, China. In 1913, she came under the command of Karl von Müller, who would captain the ship during her career in World War I. At the outbreak of hostilities, Emden captured a Russian steamer and converted her into the commerce raider Cormoran. Emden rejoined the East Asia Squadron, after which she was detached for independent raiding in the Indian Ocean. The cruiser spent nearly two months operating in the region, and captured nearly two dozen ships. Müller took Emden to raid the Cocos Islands, where he landed a contingent of sailors to destroy British facilities. There, Emden was attacked by the Australian cruiser HMAS Sydney. The more powerful Australian ship quickly inflicted serious damage and forced Müller to run his ship aground to prevent her from sinking. Out of a crew of 376, 133 were killed in the battle. Most of the survivors were taken prisoner, though the landing party, led by Hellmuth von Mücke commandeered an old schooner and eventually returned to Germany.

- DirectorChris CottamStarsRich HallMonica GanasTheodore HoveyCalifornia's first settlements were born of missionary zeal. It promised a haven from marauders and mercenaries. Since then it has tempted us with unlimited gold, boundless harvests, silver screen-stardom, dotcom salvation, and hi-tech silicon marvels. It has always been a place that promises success-if you're youthful or white. And if you're Mexican, it at least promises a decent chance of survival. The Californian dream has always eclipsed its facts or history. Most other US states are named after geographical place-names, Indian tribes or British royalty: eg. New York, Nebraska, Maryland. California was named after Calafia, a mythical Spanish queen, a kind of Spanish Snow White. True reality has never been good enough for Californians. They are always vaguely dissatisfied with themselves, their bodies, their spirituality, their government and their present car. Yet they still believe they shape both American culture and character. And to a large degree, they have. In his unique and sardonic way, Rich takes the viewer on a keenly-eyed journey to the place built on a tectonic fault-line that still deigns to call itself the Land of Dreams.
- DirectorSteven R. TalleyChinese diplomat Dr. Feng Shan Ho was based in Vienna in the late 1930s. Disturbed by the Nazis' persecution of Viennese Jews, Feng Shan Ho issued exit visas to Jews when no one else would.
- DirectorL.S. GrayeThe film takes place in the winter of 1944 in a Nazi occupied concentration camp in Poland. Three survivors- Eli, Yaduik, and Zigney have managed to escape the madness of the concentration camp evacuations and death marches and remain hidden inside their barrack. Too terrified to go outside, the three of them wait for someone or something, to come. The Muselmann is a gritty Holocaust realism depicted through the narrow eyes of two survivors. At it's heart, the film is a horror-scape, a dialog of symbols, images, and emotions that underscore the Holocaust themes of dehumanization, isolation, brutality, and loss of faith. Embodying these qualities is Zigney, a frail remnant of a man, who haunts Eli and Yaduik, and reminds both of their fading humanity and impending fate.

- DirectorBrandon HabermanStarsMatt WhittakerTravis ShakespeareNick WhittakerWhen a college student begins to document the lives of a lowly band of cable television reenactment actors he uncovers Ryan Baxter, a re-enactor committed to putting his own inaccurate spin on history. Looking over him is Gil, the angst-ridden director of Ryan's misadventures, who spends more time trying to corral Ryan's historical inaccuracies on set than repairing his own career. When news of a major network television reenactment surfaces amongst the crew, both Ryan and Gil are sent into a tailspin, while other re-enactors amidst the extremely low-budget crew try to take a large step forward and take the mantle away from Ryan Baxter. A man destined to be historical... only if he could get it right.

Eventually covering 13,000 acres, Wessyngton Plantation would thrive off the blood, sweat and tears of hundreds of African Americans. Unlike other plantations only two slaves were ever sold from Wessyngton, resulting in several generations of enslaved family members living and laboring together. As a child, Author John F. Baker Jr. was mysteriously drawn to a photo of Robertson County slaves in his middle school textbook. When his grandmother explained that he was looking at his great-grandparents, he became obsessed with their story. In 2008 his book "The Washington's of Wessyngton Plantation" was released. The culmination of more than thirty years of research, it details the lives of hundreds of his family members. Baker spent decades combing through countless family and state archives, researching birth and death records, and conducting dozens of interviews with relatives and historians. Wessyngton Plantation: A Family's Road to Freedom brings to life this deeply moving story of pain and perseverance.
