Matthew Nile Ashford was born on January 29, 1960, in the town of Davenport, Iowa. He is the third youngest [youngest boy] of eight kids. He has four brothers and 3 sisters, and in descending order their names are: Dave [6/4], Jeff [6/4], Phil [10/1], Teresa [4/16], Randy [8/9], Matt [1/29], Susie [3/13], and Sally [9/16]. When he was 12 years old, his sisters took him to auditions for a local play, and it was there that he was bitten by the acting bug. A year later, the family moved to Fairfax, VA, where Matthew attended Hayfield High and continued to involve himself in local theatre as well as school productions. After graduation, Matthew attended the highly accredited North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. During the summer months, he and a friend worked as street performers in Myrtle Beach, SC doing mime, magic, juggling, improv. Eventually, he joined the Ragamuffin Magic & Mime Company where he earned his first professional paycheck. Soon after graduating from NC School of the Arts, in 1982, with a B.F.A. in Theatre, he followed his star to New York City; it was full of opportunities, and it was still only a train ride from mom. Matthew was not in town long before he was put under contract by ABC and cast as Drew Ralston on One Life to Live (1968) (1982-83). Sadly, Drew was killed in a flower shop on the eve of his wedding. After his year on OLTL, Matt toured with a troupe performing "Member of the Wedding," which soon led to his second soap, Search for Tomorrow (1951). Matt played Cagney McCleary, with brothers David Forsyth and 'Jeff Meek', from 1983 until the show was canceled in December of 1986. Matt quickly made the role of "Jack" his own and won several awards for his portrayal of the popular Days' character including Soap Opera Digest's Best Villain in 1989, a Super Couple (1991) and Best Wedding (1992) award with Melissa Reeves, as well as the Best Comedic Performance award in 1992. Strangely, the birth of Matthew and Christina's daughter Grace seemed to coincide with the birth of Jack's television daughter, Abigail. Little Grace was born on June 15, 1992. Matt left Days of Our Lives (1965) within the following year, in September of 1993, after six years as Jack Deveraux. He remains the only true "Jack" in the hearts of many. In 1997, he and his wife Grace had a second child -- a daughter Emma. During his time off from the soaps, Matt took the opportunity to get involved with live theatre again. He joined the prestigious Interact Theatre Company, headed by former co-star Marilyn McIntyre (ex-Jo Days). He remains active in the troupe, despite his daytime schedule.Search For Tomorrow

Passions - Patricia received her first break into acting very soon after she graduated from Stephens College in the mid 1940s. Almost immediately after graduating, she received a contract from Columbia Pictures. They recognized that she had the rare combination of beauty, grace and intelligence that would serve her well throughout her long and well-respected career. When she first signed with Columbia Pictures, she was known as Patricia White. A few years later, in the late 1940s, she met Philip Barry Jr., who was to become her husband. Philip was a television producer-director and the son and namesake of the well-known playwright Philip Barry. By 1950, Patricia began using her married name, Barry. Patricia and Philip shared a long and happy marriage that only ended upon his death on May 16, 1998. During their marriage, they collaborated on several projects. Her husband Philip wrote and she acted in episodes of Matinee Theatre (1955) in the late 1950s. Her husband also produced several television programs that she acted in. They include: The Alcoa Hour (1955), a major dramatic TV series than ran from 1955 to 1957, a well-known TV horror film called Crowhaven Farm (1970), and two made-for-TV biographies, First, You Cry (1978), and Bogie (1980). Patricia Barry may well have been one of the hardest working actresses of her time, having performed over 130 movie and television roles. She died of age-related causes on October 12, 2016, at age 93.First Love

Emmy Award Winning Jennifer Bassey became a contract player on ABC TV's All My Children (1970) in the summer of 1998, after having portrayed borderline nymphomaniac "Marian Colby", since the early eighties. Jennifer was born in Chicago. Her first job in entertainment was as a singing Playboy bunny in the very first Playboy Club. She left her bunny ears behind and was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where she got the lowest entrance marks in the history of the academy. Three years later, she graduated from the RADA with honors, finishing just below classmate and future Academy Award-winner, Sir Anthony Hopkins. Jennifer went on to the Big Apple, where she appeared in several Broadway and off-Broadway productions. Some of which included Neil Simon's "California Suite"; "Not Now Darling", directed by George Abbott; "In Praise of Love" with Rex Harrison and "The Homecoming" (The Original Royal Shakespeare Production).
Her most recent off-Broadway credits include Molière's "Tartuffe" and Wendy Wasserstein's "Isn't It Romantic", both staged at the Tribeca Playhouse. Prior off-Broadway appearances included playing "Katherine" in "The Taming of the Shrew" at the Roundabout Theatre; "Lady Macbeth" in "Macbeth" at the Stratford Theatre and "Love Letters", in which she co-starred with Ken Kercheval.
In 1983, Miss Bassey won the role of "Marian Colby" on All My Children (1970), initially signing for a five-month stint. Due to the incredible popularity of the character, Marian is still going strong nearly 20 years later. Beyond her other dramatic successes, she has enjoyed a flourishing film career that includes such feature films as Waxwork (1988), Twogether (1992), which also featured both the performing and directing talents of Nick Cassavetes, and Dunston Checks In (1996), where in a scene-stealing, skin-revealing moment, she received an orgasmic massage from an orangutan! Jennifer has achieved prime-time success, most recently as a guest star on Law & Order (1990).
Other notable appearances include L.A. Law (1986), Falcon Crest (1981), Murphy Brown (1988), Silk Stalkings (1991), Matlock (1986) and Coach (1989). In addition to her Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress, she also received two Soap Opera Digest Awards, the second of which was shared with her co-star, David Canary, for Favorite Couple. Ms. Bassey shares her life with her longtime companion, Luther Davis, the famous playwright and screenwriter who wrote the book for the shows "Kismet" and "Grand Hotel". He also wrote and produced "Timbuktu", starring Eartha Kitt. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys outdoor activities and is an aspiring writer, whose latest effort is a new night-time series called "Nightfall", which is currently under consideration for production by HBO.All My Children

The Bold And The Beautiful- Cute, tiny, and prolific little old lady character actress Frances Bay worked constantly in both films and TV shows alike after making her debut at the age of 59 in life with a small part in the comedy Foul Play (1978) in 1978.
She frequently portrayed eccentric elderly women and good-hearted grandmothers in all kinds of pictures and television programs. Frances acted several times for David Lynch: she's Kyle MacLachlan's sweet doddery aunt in Blue Velvet (1986), a gruff, profane whorehouse madam in Wild at Heart (1990), and the spooky Mrs. Tremond in the cult TV series Twin Peaks (1990) and its spin-off feature Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992). Frances popped up in two movies for director Stuart Gordon: she's a kind witch in The Pit and the Pendulum (1991) and a fortune teller in Edmond (2005).
Other notable film roles include a snippy librarian in The Attic (1980), a mysterious blind nun in the offbeat Nomads (1986), another librarian in In the Mouth of Madness (1994), and Adam Sandler's loving grandmother in the hit comedy Happy Gilmore (1996). Frances had the unique distinction of guesting on the final episodes of the TV shows Happy Days (1974), Who's the Boss? (1984), and Seinfeld (1989).
Among the many TV series Bay had guest spots on are Charmed (1998), ER (1994), Matlock (1986), The X-Files (1993), Murder, She Wrote (1984), The Commish (1991), L.A. Law (1986), Hill Street Blues (1981), Touched by an Angel (1994), The Golden Girls (1985), and Amazing Stories (1985).
She won a Gemini Award for her performance in the Disney TV program Avonlea (1990). Frances was also in the music video for Jimmy Fallon's "Idiot Boyfriend." In addition to her substantial movie and TV credits, Bay also acted in both Off-Broadway stage productions and regional theater; these plays include "Finnegan's Wake," "Grease," "Genuis," "The Caucasion Chalk Circle," "Number Our Days," "Uncommon Women," "Sarcophagus," and "The Pleasure of His Company." Frances won two DramaLogue Awards and was nominated for a Los Angeles Dramatic Critics' Award.
In 2002 Bay was the unfortunate victim of an automobile accident which resulted in having part of her right leg amputated. Her husband Charles sadly died in 2002 as well.
In real life Frances Bay was a very practical and unassuming woman with an avid love for jazz music.Days Of Our Lives

Passions - New York City native Walter Brooke, born on October 13, 1914, made his first try at dramatics by reciting a poem in German at the Grunewald gymnasium in Berlin Germany where he spent five years as a schoolboy. He won first prize.
Walter's father, a professional Chef and his mother, a nurse, brought him back to New York in the mid nineteen twenties where he finished his schooling the hard way, in and out of a score of schools.
He launched his stage career at that time by accident. At 16 years old attending Dewitt Clinton High school young Walter took a wrong turn in the school corridor which took him into a drama class. He enrolled in the class hoping to make an impression on a certain teen-age charmer he knew.
After graduation from Dewitt Clinton, he took a job ushering at the World Theater and from there, he went to work at the William Demuth Pipe Company on Long Island while he gained practical stage experience at night by playing at the Davenport Theater on West 27th Street.
From summer stock plays on Governors Island to East Hampton L.I. and then full-fledged productions, his career picked up momentum.
His first Broadway experience was gained as a walk-on and understudy in John Gielgud's production of "Hamlet" at the distinguished Empire Theater.
Just before WWII he went to Hollywood to study with Max Reinhardt and spent 18 months with the "Professor" appearing in classical plays and developing his acting technique. Then came a part on tour in "Romeo and Juliet" with Sir Lawrence Olivier.
Upon his return to Los Angeles, he helped found the Beachwood Studio under the direction of Vladimir Sokoloff, an original member of the Moscow Art Theater. Working with Sokoloff resulted in a notable change in his dramatic technique.
Warner Brothers soon discovered him and placed him under contract, but he wasn't handsome enough to be a juvenile or old enough for young character parts. He played a dozen parts in as many films, then by mutual consent, was released from his contract.
He sped back to Broadway where he played the lead in "The Barber Had Two Sons". Shortly after he was offered a job at M-G-M as the dialogue director on "Kismet" which Willam Dieterle was directing.
After Pearl Harbor, Walter had been able to avoid the service because his draft board had classified him as 4F, a conscientious objector, but at his own request, Walter went into the Army and was assigned to the 776th Field Artillery Battalion.
Corporal Brooke served for 2 1/2 years, including 144 days of uninterrupted combat where his outfit slugged from the Bulge to Bastogne, to a point further east than any other similar unit. One of his overseas duties was interpreting the words of German military prisoners making use of his knowledge of the German language.
Bombs would explode right next to his fox hole he had dug and had to live in for weeks at a time. He received a Purple Heart for leaving his fox hole to drag a wounded comrade back to their hole. Experiencing the terror of war as he did, had a profound effect on him for his entire life.
Discharged in 1946 he returned to the stage on tour with Tallulah Bankhead in "The Eagle Has Two Heads". Followed by "Two Blind Mice" with Melvyn Douglas, "Twilight Walk" opposite Nancy Kelly, and "Seagulls Over Sorrento".
In 1948 he again deserted Broadway for summer stock, this time going to Williamsburg VA, to play the role of Thomas Jefferson in Paul Greens "The Common Glory". While there he took special courses in Philosophy at William and Mary College.
Brooke credits his biggest professional break to Franchot Tone with whom he appeared in "The Second Man." Directed by Jean Dalrymple, the play successfully toured the straw-hat circuit from Maine to Florida and California.
Television's top brass saw the play and almost at once Walter jumped into starring roles on virtually all major TV shows then on the air.
During an eight-week period he did 12 leads, appearing on four one-hour shows, and eight 30-minute programs, while at the same time playing a running part on "One Man's Family". Few actors can equal or top this record. After "One Man's Family" went off the air, he resumed free-lancing.
For one year he acted the heavy on CBS's "The Brighter Day". He followed this for six months in "Three Steps to Heaven", which he left for a one-picture deal with Paramount as the star in their 3 1/2-million-dollar film "Conquest of Space" produced by George Pal.
1953 saw him appear in two plays with Ilka Chase in Nassau L.I., the following summer of 1954 he appeared with Marie Wilson and Melville Cooper in "The Little Hut".
Slim and dapper Walter Brooke met pert Elizabeth Wragge, the pretty blonde NBC Radio Star, on a blind date at an AFTRA ball at the Waldorf-Astoria. They were married four years later on January 14th, 1951. The couple had two children, Thomas Brooke and Christina Lynne Brooke.
They divided their time between a home in Elberon. N.J. and a mellow apartment, The Osborne on West 57th Street.
Quiet and dignified Walter confessed that he had an evocation for photography and liked to take photographs of his actress wife and their two children. He was an expert photographer.
As time moved forward it soon became apparent that Hollywood was the best place for Walter to be for film and television work, so he started spending more time on the west coast and by 1960 his career as an actor looked assured so he relocated to Hollywood as his wife and children stayed in midtown Manhattan pursuing their own theatrical careers.
As evidenced by his dozens of appearances in films and on television he was able to live a respectable "Hollywood lifestyle". One of his main hobbies was gardening and landscaping. He would have swimming pools installed in neglected homes that he would purchase as fixer uppers, then rent out to new Hollywood types.
This became as much of an occupation as film and television work, and he and his third partner, whom he married in Las Vegas, 1 year prior to his death in 1986, enjoyed every minute.
Besides his career as a prolific actor. Walter was an environmentalist and a Universalist. Swimming was one of his passions. In all the homes he lived in, he would create and care for a garden where he grew many types of vegetables. Picked fresh and prepared on the same day.
His motto was "Each Day Will Be Better Than the Last, If You Let It".One Man's Family

All My Children - Born in Hayward, California as Kimberlin Ann Brown, Brown made daytime television history by successfully crossing over her character from the number one daytime drama The Young and the Restless (1973) to The Bold and the Beautiful (1987) causing the latter show's ratings to skyrocket in the early 1990s. Discovered by famed modeling agent Nina Blanchard, it took almost a year of soul-searching for Brown to decide if she really wanted to give up her dream of being an architect, before she moved to Los Angeles. The modeling work came quickly, and Brown jetted off to model in Tokyo, Milan and Paris. Upon her return to the United States, Brown decided to give acting a try. She guest starred on numerous television series, including Matt Houston (1982) and T.J. Hooker (1982) while taking acting classes. Brown soon won a recurring part on the daytime drama Capitol (1982). In addition, she had featured roles in the films Who's That Girl (1987), 18 Again! (1988), and Eye of the Tiger (1986). Brown's big break came in 1990: Jill Newton, the casting director of The Young and the Restless, remembered Brown from a previous audition and called her in for the role of nurse Sheila Carter. Originally designed as a minor recurring player, Brown's talents were quickly realized by the show's creator William J. Bell and culminated in a 1992 Daytime Emmy Award nomination as 'Best Supporting Actress'. As the role of Sheila Carter expanded to a full-flexed villain amidst a baby-snitch storyline along-side Tracey E. Bregman's Lauren Fenmore, the character was eventually "killed off" in dramatic fashion in May 1992. Little did viewers know, that the genius of William J. Bell saw a new lease of light for the character on sister-show The Bold And The Beautiful: A very much alive Sheila showed up in fictional Los Angeles where she was linked to the powerful Forrester dynasty. The rivalry of Sheila and Lauren continued to play a pivotal role in Los Angeles as well as Genoa City for another three years creating several story-lines spanning both shows. Brown's character was eventually reformed and continued in another direction until her shocking exit in October 1998. In 1999, Brown started a three-year-run as psychologist Dr. Rachel Locke on Port Charles (1997) - and no stranger to cross-over series-events - also brought this character to life on mother-show General Hospital (1963) on several occasions. In a top-secret move, Brown then made a highly publicized surprise return to The Bold And The Beautiful in May 2002. Due to a change of storyline, Brown was written off after just 6 months when the character of Sheila shot another legacy character, Dr. Taylor as played by Hunter Tylo. Following another quick return visit in 2003, Brown landed the role of Dr. Paige Miller on New York-based One Life to Live (1968), but left the show after several months to return to the role of Sheila Carter in August 2005. But this time, Brown returned to her original stomping grounds on The Young And The Restless. However, changes in storyline cut her return short and Brown was written off a mere 6 months later. In following years, scheduling conflicts prevented Brown from reprising her legacy character which was eventually killed off. In the last couple of years, Brown has starred in several independent movie productions and played a lead role on web-serial The Bay (2010) in 2011 in addition to starting her own interior design firm in 2012 in San Diego, California. Brown is married to Gary Pelzer since May 11, 1991 and they share a daughter and son.Capitol

Peter Brown got into acting when he was in the army by organizing a theater group on base to occupy his spare time while stationed in Alaska. After his discharge he enrolled in the acting program at UCLA, and starting in the mid-1950s found employment in many of the western films and series being turned out at the time (he is especially remembered for his work as eager young deputy Johnny McKay in the classic western series Lawman (1958) and as one of a trio of Texas Rangers in the western action/comedy series Laredo (1965)). Following the end of a contract with Universal Pictures (1965-1972), he switched to soap operas and made-for-TV films, and has been steadily employed ever since.Days Of Our Lives

Robert Curtis Brown has forged a career playing unique, diverse and interesting characters. This talented, Yale-trained actor has an intriguing, accessible screen presence and a depth of feeling and humor. The complexity that Robert brings to his characters may have its origins in his upbringing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, his years at Yale College, his education at The Yale School of Drama or his experiences traveling the world for work and pleasure. Regardless, since his first professional role fresh out of Yale, Robert has tapped into the ability to embody the essence of whatever character he portrays. From his early work in New York with Joseph Papp, David Hare, Al Pacino, Martin Sheen, Kate Nelligan, John Landis, Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd, Robert has been singled out for his ability to portray a broad range of characters.
Robert has a sterling reputation as an actor from producers, directors and audiences across the country. In his three most recent feature films, It's Complicated (2009), Halloween II (2009) and The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009), Robert portrays three very different characters. In "It's Complicated", he plays "Peter", Meryl Streep's architect and friend who will introduce him to "Adam", played by Steve Martin. This funny romantic comedy includes an all-star cast, including Alec Baldwin and John Krasinski. "Halloween 2", directed by Rob Zombie, is a terrifying horror film in which Robert portrays the heart-wrenching father, of a murdered girl, who confronts Malcolm McDowell. Robert shares the screen with George Clooney, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey in "The Men Who Stare At Goats", in which he portrays an Army General bent on staying ahead of the Russians!
Robert has over 120 television and film roles to his credit including: "President Kennedy" in Big Love (2006), "Warden Davis Ollenstein" in CSI: NY (2004), "Morgan Ride" in Shark (2006), "Miles Bainbridge" in Big Time Rush (2009), "Dan, The Weatherman" in the Showtime series, Look (2010) and "Vance Evans" (Sharpay and Ryan's Dad) in the smash hit, "High School Musical" movies for Disney.
Robert's acting work has extended beyond film and television and counts himself among the lucky actors who continue to work in the theatre. His long association with the South Coast Repertory and the Pasadena Playhouse are sources of great pride and artistic expression. Robert was also recently nominated for a Los Angeles Ovation award for his lyrics for "Mutt House".
Robert devotes his spare time to several charitable organizations including the "Pediatric Aids Foundation", "Helping Hands for the Blind" and his local schools. In his spare time, he plays softball, bike rides and enjoys gardening, scuba diving and traveling.Search For Tomorrow

Days Of Our Lives- Buchanan was born June 16, 1957 in Hamilton, Scotland. He worked at a local hotel as a bellhop while still a teenager. By the time he turned 14 his parents, both of whom fought alcoholism, died suddenly. He and his five siblings were left alone and his dreams of moving to the U.S. were put on hold. Buchanan went on to work as a bartender and restaurant manager in Scotland. While vacationing in Spain, his exceptional good looks captured the attention of a photographer. He agreed to a photo session that went so well he quickly found regular modeling work. He moved to London where he soon became an international fashion model. When the prestigious Ford Agency signed Buchanan in the 1980s, he relocated to New York City. Buchanan studied acting at New York's Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. He was also coached by notable playwright and actress Marcia Haufrecht. His hard work paid off when he was offered the role of heartthrob Duke Lavery on General Hospital (1963) in 1986 who most notably sizzled with co-star Finola Hughes. The role became Buchanan's launchpad to other television opportunities. When he left the soap in 1989, he appeared on prime-time in It's Garry Shandling's Show. (1986) from 1988-1990. The recurring spot as Dick Tremayne on Twin Peaks (1990) followed from 1990-1991. In 1990, he played a wealthy Playboy-style magazine publisher who murders his partner in Columbo Cries Wolf (1990). Buchanan returned to daytime television in 1993 as the mysterious psychologist Dr. James Warwick on The Bold and the Beautiful (1987). He was the first ever actor on the show to receive a Daytime Emmy Award in 1997 and stayed with the show until 1999, returning on several occasions from 2004 to 2011. A string of guest-starring roles on various TV shows followed as well as some film work including playing Jodie Foster's Realtor on Panic Room (2002). Buchanan has since appeared on various soap operas: on the "General Hospital" spin-off Port Charles (1997) from 2002-2003, and as a vampire in the 1993 Halloween episode of Quantum Leap (1989), he played the devious fertility specialist Dr. Greg Madden on All My Children (1970) who had performed Erica Kane's (Susan Lucci) controversial abortion in the 1970s and had a short run as Ian McAllister on Days of Our Lives (1965) in 2012. Not long after Buchanan returned to "General Hospital" after a 23 year long absence where he was reunited with Finola Hughes.General Hospital

Loving - Christopher Cousins has carved a career by portraying outstanding, diverse characters. This talented, theatrically trained actor has an intriguing, dark and captivating screen presence. The depth and soul that Christopher brings to his characters may have its roots in his birthplace, New York City, or perhaps in the secrets of Oklahoma, where he was raised. Regardless, since his first professional role fresh out of Boston University, Christopher has found within himself the ability to morph into the essence of whatever character he portrays. He perfected his chameleon skills as a contract player on One Life to Live (1968) as Cane Rogan, a con man who pretended to be different people (German film director, Spanish lothario, Irish horse trainer, Arab prince).
Christopher is gaining favorable notices as a quality actor from producers, directors and audiences across the country. In his most recent feature film, Wicker Park (2004), an intense psychological romantic thriller, Christopher is part of an all-star cast including Josh Hartnett, Diane Kruger, Rose Byrne and Matthew Lillard. Christopher stars as Daniel, the provocative and mysterious villain.
Christopher has many diverse roles to his credit: a sophisticated British businessman in For Love of the Game (1999); a dedicated, rural veterinarian in _Long Shot, The (2004)_; an amoral and dangerous hero in Earth vs. the Spider (2001); a clueless father in The Opposite of Sex (1998); a dark, disturbed character in Dead Dog (2001); a loving, grieving father in ER (1994). Recurring credits include Joan of Arcadia (2003); Stargate SG-1 (1997) and American Dreams (2002). Additional starring roles include The O.C. (2003) and The West Wing (1999).
Christopher's dream role is Odysseus, Greek hero of the Trojan War. "I've dreamed of playing Odysseus since I was a boy." His favorite movie is Ran (1985), directed by Akira Kurosawa. Jeff Bridges has inspired him as an actor. Like Bridges, Christopher is selecting quality projects in his own career.
Christopher donates his time to several community organizations, The Carter Center on Hunger Relief and Housing, The Southern Poverty Law Center, Human Rights Watch and Actor's Fund. In his spare time he paints, fences, reads and enjoys doing crosswords.Another World

Weekly Award for her performance in "The Front Room" at Theatre East, and an ADA Award for "Only the Dead Know Burbank" at Actors Alley. Later, she appeared in "Agnes of God" (as the Mother Superior) and "The Dinosaur Within" (as Miss Wells, an aging movie star), both directed by Michael Michetti.
A sturdy utilitarian player, she played various mothers, teachers, judges, nurses and waitresses throughout the course of her career, dividing her time between film and TV assignments. As to the former, she made appearances in Spring Break (1983), Night of the Cyclone (1990), Live Wire (1992), The Pandora Project (1998) and, more recently, Dead Ronnie (2006), the award-winning short Dandelion Dharma (2009), What Would Jesus Do? (2010), Christmas Mail (2010), Mardi Gras: Spring Break (2011) and the forthcoming The Master (2012).

Barbara Crampton was born in Levittown, New York. Growing up in Vermont, she spent the majority of her childhood summers traveling the country with a roadside carnival that her father worked for. Crampton began acting in school plays in seventh grade and subsequently studied drama in high school. She earned a BA in Theater Arts from Castleton State College and, following graduation, portrayed "Cordelia" in an American Theater of Actors production of "King Lear" in New York.
The young actress then moved to Los Angeles and, in 1983, made her TV debut with a recurring role on the popular daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives (1965). The following year she had a brief, but memorable role in Brian De Palma's Body Double (1984), which was followed by the 1985 comedy Fraternity Vacation (1985). Barbara achieved enduring cult popularity as college coed Megan Halsey in Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator (1985) and, after making a splash in the horror genre, successively starred in From Beyond (1986), Chopping Mall (1986), Puppet Master (1989), and Castle Freak (1995), among others.
Outside of horror, Barbara had recurring roles on daytime television soap operas Guiding Light (1952); The Bold and the Beautiful (1987), and The Young and the Restless (1973), for which won a Soap Opera Digest Award.
Years after retiring from acting to raise a family, Crampton returned to film in 2011 with a role in Adam Wingard's You're Next (2011). She subsequently appeared in number of new films, the majority of which were horror. Highlights of her return include The Lords of Salem (2012), We Are Still Here (2015), and Beyond the Gates (2016).
Crampton's hobbies include skiing, yoga, horseback riding, running, working out with weights, and shopping for antiques at flea markets. She lives outside of San Francisco with her husband, Robert Bleckman, and their two children.Days Of Our Lives

Guiding Light - After a substantial career in the advertising industry, John Doman came to acting relatively late. In fact, he made his screen debut at the age of 46. When the acting bug eventually bit, it was upon his return from Vietnam in 1969, where he had served as a Second Lieutenant with the 3rd Marine Division. Watching Midnight Cowboy (1969) and The Graduate (1967) consecutively at a cinema in San Francisco, he became inspired by Dustin Hoffman's performances and determined to give acting a try. In an interview, he explained "It took me 20 years to actually get around to doing it". For those intervening decades, Doman worked in advertising, eventually moving up to the position of Executive Vice President, Head of Business Development at TBWA. His academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University.
Having read books and taking "some classes here and there", Doman landed a spot on a commercial for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) in 1991.This led to further work on television, commencing the following year with a small role on the soap As the World Turns (1956). The brawny, deep-voiced actor (an ex-football player for the Penn Quakers) has since specialised in tough, no-nonsense authority figures, frequently in crime dramas. Doman has played no less than eleven distinct characters in the Law & Order (1990) franchise. His breakout role was as the uncompromising Maryland State Police Deputy Commissioner of Operations (eventually Superintendant) William Rawls in five seasons of HBO's The Wire (2002). Doman has also guest-starred as a Bajoran militia colonel in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) episode "Shakaar". He played the corrupt Pope Alexander VI (aka Rodrigo Borgia) in Borgia (2011), Bishop Charles Eddis in House of Cards (2013), morally ambiguous Senator Ross Garrison in the compelling CBS drama Person of Interest (2011), mob bosses Don Carmine Falcone and Patrick "Paddy" Doyle, respectively, in DC's Gotham (2014) and in Rizzoli & Isles (2010), Katee Sackhoff's overprotective Police Chief father in Longmire (2012) and the micro-managing American Ambassador to Germany, Richard Hanes, in Berlin Station (2016). More recently, he appeared as Boston District Attorney Guy Dan in the Kevin Bacon starrer City on a Hill (2019).
Doman has also lent his commanding presence to the stage, notably off-Broadway and in productions for the New York Shakespeare Festival. As The World Turns

Jane Elliot was born Janury 17, 1947 in New York City. Despite never being academically taught acting (she took voice and acting classes instead), Elliott got an agent at age 17 who sent her auditioning for the most diverse roles which eventually jump-started her career. Elliott made her daytime debut in the short-lived ABC soap A Flame in the Wind (1964) in 1965. She later guest-starred in a number of television series, like Mod Squad (1968), _Kojak(1965)_ and Barnaby Jones (1973). Elliot also co-starred in films Change of Habit (1969) opposite 'Elvis Presley' qv) and Mary Tyler Moore, and One Is a Lonely Number (1972). She had a lead role in the short-lived NBC series Rosetti and Ryan (1977) in 1977. On the set of Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (1976) Elliott met future soap icon Deidre Hall with whom she has become close friends ever since; prompting her to consider work in daytime television. Said and done: Elliot is best known for her role as Tracy Quartermaine, wealthy daughter of Edward and Lila Quartermaine, on the ABC daytime soap opera, General Hospital (1963). The role was especially created for her as legendary producer Gloria Monty took a liking on Elliott who had auditioned for the nowadays entirely forgotten role of Dr. Gina Dante vacated by Anna Stuart. Elliot debuted in 1978 and quickly became a fan favorite. Her first stint was highlighted by an iconic episode where Tracy withheld the heart medication from her father when he faked a heart attack. She left in 1980 and won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1981. The same year, she landed the recurring role of Judy Trent on the prime time CBS series Knots Landing (1979). Elliot starred as Carrie Todd in the CBS soap opera Guiding Light (1952) from 1981 to 1982, herself citing the character created by legendary head writer Douglas Marland as the most demanding role of her career. The character was revealed to be the killer of both Diane Ballard and Joe Bradley, and after marrying Ross Marler (Jerry verDorn), was revealed to be suffering from a split personality. From 1984 to 1986 she played the role of Cynthia Chandler Preston Courtlandt on All My Children (1970), marrying Palmer Cortlandt for his money while having an affair with his son, Ross Chandler, whom Cynthia happened to be divorced from. That same year, Elliott's marriage to Luis Rojas, who was the father of her first son, ended. She moved back to West Coast and was a contender for the lead role of Stephanie Forrester on the soon-to-launch The Bold and the Beautiful (1987). Elliott happily accepted the role of the snooty Anjelica Deveraux on Days of Our Lives (1965) where she had an affair with the much younger Justin Kiriakis played by Wally Kurth and married Dr. Neil Curtis in spite of the fact that she was pregnant with Justin's child. In 1987 Elliot also appeared in the films _Some Kind of Wonderful (1987)_ 8qv) and Baby Boom (1987). After two years on "Days", she was lured back to "General Hospital" in 1989 and in 1991 was reunited with Kurth who was cast as Tracy's son, Ned Ashton. Jane left again in mid 1993 after a disagreement over her story-line direction due to conflict over her character's reaction to her daughter-in-law Jenny Eckert's teenage abortion. After being mentored by "Days"-producer Al Rabin on Valley of the Dolls (1994), Elliott was ready to embark on a whole new chapter of her career: In 1995 she became a producer on the newly revamped New York City soap The City (1995). When series star Morgan Fairchild left after her initial contract was over, network executives convinced Elliott to reprise her of Tracy Quartermaine to give the low-rated show some much-needed publicity. Following a brief stint on "GH" during which Tracy unsuccessfully tried to take over ELQ, Elliott became the new star of "The City" until its cancellation in 1997. On "The City", Tracy married into the mob, a story-line which would cross-over to "GH" years later. In 2003 Elliott once again moved to the West Coast and she shortly after returned to General Hospital as a regular cast member. Eventually she was paired with long-time friend Anthony Geary as Tracy and Luke were married in a drunken wedding, making Tracy's married name "Tracy Spencer", although she kept Quartermaine as her last name. In 2014, Elliott was nominated for another Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, 33 years after her win and 21 years since her last nomination.A Flame In The Wind

The City- A Drama Desk Award-winning actor ("A Whistle in the Dark" [1969] ) and a Tony Award nominee (as "Monsieur Colmier", "Marat/Sade" [1967] ), he began his career as a member of New York's Neighborhood Playhouse from 1940 to 1942, where he studied with noted acting instructor, Sanford Meisner, before joining the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II. Upon his return, he made his Broadway debut in 1945 in "The Tempest". His stepson, David Hirson, told the Los Angeles Times in an interview that his stepfather was always proudest of his stage work.
His mother died soon after his birth, during the Spanish influenza pandemic of 1918, and he was raised by his father, who was a textile worker, and his stepmother.
Most of his acting successes in films came after he reached the age of fifty, although he was a pioneering actor in the days of early television, notably as the third actor, though he had the longest tenure (1950-55),after Bram Nossen and Hal Conklin to play "Dr. Pauli", nemesis of "Captain Video" on the daily TV series, _"Captain Video and His Video Rangers" (1949-1955) over the DuMont Television Network. The Bay- He had an unsettled childhood, his family never staying in one place for very long. The youngest of three brothers, Joel Anthony Fabiani was born to an Italian-Austrian father (Ernest Fabiani, 1902-1988) and an Irish and Native American mother (Bessie Fabiani, née Holcomb, 1903-1992). He attended seventeen different schools, eventually joining the army and then majoring in English at Santa Rosa Junior College. There, Joel was bitten by the acting bug and this led to a two year-long stint at the Actor's Workshop in San Francisco where he learned stagecraft. From there, he moved to New York and began his professional career in summer stock and off-Broadway. One of his first roles was as a court's clerk in the play One Way Pendulum at the now defunct East 74th Street Theatre. During this performance he met his second wife, the actress Audree Rae (his first marriage to fellow work shop alumnus Katharine Ross had ended in divorce after two and a half years in 1962). Joel made his debut Broadway appearance in a revival of Beyond the Fringe '65.
On screen from 1964, he featured in the pilot episode for Ironside (1967) and had a small recurring part in the medical soap The Doctors (1963). He also made a series of cigarette commercials as a debonair tuxedo-wearing James Bond-type character. This seemed to fit the bill for ITC producer Monty Berman who was scouting in the U.S. for an American actor to star in a projected espionage/crime series filmed in Britain. Before long, Joel and his wife relocated to the U.K. where the actor went on to make his name in a career defining role. As Stewart Sullivan, he was cast as the leader of a three-member team comprising the fictional Interpol sub-branch Department S (1969), solving the most enigmatic and perplexing cases, alongside Peter Wyngarde (as flamboyant crime writer Jason King) and Rosemary Nicols (as down-to-earth computer expert Annabelle Hurst). Joel's character, an ex-FBI agent, was most adept at handling himself in a fight and also the only member of the trio to interact directly and receive the team's assignments from the head of the department, a cultured diplomat with far-reaching contacts (played by Dennis Alaba Peters). Department S was a polished entertainment with global syndication and has long since attained cult status. Curiously, its brief run consisted of just one season and 28 episodes. A sequel, Jason King (1971), proved rather less successful.
Upon his return to the U.S., Joel (in his own words) "wanted to go out and conquer Hollywood, which is what I immediately set out to do - and didn't - but I had an awful lot of fun trying". Largely maintaining his suave Stewart Sullivan image, he went on to guest-star in numerous prime time shows (often for Quinn Martin Productions). In these, he played anything from murder victims to priests, from military brass to ill-fated spies, from attorneys and politicians to murderers and from private eyes to psychiatrists. Joel had recurring roles in the soaps Dallas (1978) (publisher Alex Ward), and Dynasty (1981) (the scheming King Galen of Moldavia), plus a decade-long tenure on All My Children (1970) (lawyer Barry Shire). Though occasionally seen in mainstream cinematic productions (Reuben, Reuben (1983), Tune in Tomorrow... (1990), Snake Eyes (1998)), he had higher profile roles in made-for-TV films (the best of these being, arguably, the suspense thriller One of My Wives Is Missing (1976) and the Emmy Award-winning prison drama Attica (1980), co-starring Henry Darrow and Morgan Freeman).
For much of the 1970s, Joel continued to act on the New York stage. He also made TV and radio commercials for Sony. From the mid-80s, he diversified into the field of narration for audio books ("A River Runs Through It", "The Light in the Forest", "Aces and Eights") and worked as announcer on Barbara Walters specials until 2003. He retired from acting a decade later and resides in New York with his current wife Charna Greenburg.Dark Shadows (1966)

With over 42 years of experience in the Film & Television Industry, Jim Fitzpatrick began his acting career on the stage at the tender age of 13 when he appeared in his first school play, "A Thousand Clowns," at Seminole (Florida) High School. Jim accepted a football scholarship to Illinois State University as a theater major where he became involved with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company founded by Gary Sinise and John Malkovich. He put aside an acting career to play professional football, however, starting in 1981 with the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the CFL (Canadian Football league) followed by short stints with the Chicago Bears ('82) and the Baltimore Colts('82). His football career ended when he retired in 1985, after spending three seasons with the Tampa Bay Bandits in the USFL ('83-'85). However, playing for the Bandits was a blessing in disguise. One of the owners of the Bandits was Burt Reynolds, who was instrumental in setting Jim's career in Los Angeles in motion. Jim began auditioning for productions during the off-seasons. Before moving to L.A., he landed parts in Miami Vice (1984), Cocoon (1985) which led to meeting and becoming friends with Richard & Lili Zanuck and finally D.A.R.Y.L. (1985). Since then, Jim has appeared in over 30 plays for the stage (seven of which he has written, produced and directed in Los Angeles). He has also starred and guest-starred in over 70 roles in films and television such as U.S. Seals (2000), Operation Delta Force 3: Clear Target (1998), Armageddon (1998), Star Trek: Enterprise (2001), JAG (1995) and All My Children (1970), Elizabethtown (2005), Dolphin Tale (2011), and Soulmates (2023).
Besides acting, James has written, produced and directed a poignant romantic drama titled An American Reunion (2003), one of 33 screenplays he has written and produced. All My Children- Genie Francis was born on May 26, 1962 in Englewood, New Jersey to actors Ivor Francis and Rosemary Daley. She grew up in Long Island, New York and California. She has an older brother, Ivor Francis, and a younger brother, Kenneth Francis, and a half-sister, Shelley Francis. The attractive, blonde Ms. Francis got her start in television on General Hospital (1963), as a teenager (following a guest appearance on ABC's prime-time series, Family (1976)) and literally grew up in the enormously popular role of "Laura". As portrayed by Genie Francis, Laura has become one of the most beloved characters in daytime television. In 1981, after five years on General Hospital (1963), Ms. Francis left the show and returned, briefly, two years later and again in 1984 and, finally, on October 29, 1993. The wedding of Laura to "Luke Spencer" (played by Anthony Geary) in November 1981, remains the most-watched daytime drama event in the history of television. The fictional couple's romance even garnered a cover story in Newsweek magazine. Genie's extensive television work also included recurring appearances on Murder, She Wrote (1984). She starred in the prime-time series, "Bare Essence" (1982), and the television miniseries, "North and South", both with actor Jonathan Frakes, who went on to become her husband. She successfully battled substance abuse problems. Francis created the role of "Diana Colville" on NBC's daytime serial, Days of Our Lives (1965), in 1987 and played the role for two years, but she didn't like it and she left. Soon she originated the role of "Ceara Connor" on ABC's daytime drama, All My Children (1970), in 1990. Her portrayal of an adult incest survivor earned her critical and viewer plaudits. On the stage she has appeared in "Crimes of the Heart" and "See How They Run". In 1991 Ms. Francis appeared in the Williamstown Festival Theater Production of "Defying Gravity". That same year Genie made her New York City debut in "The Baby Dance" at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in Greenwich Village. She also appeared in a Comedic Curtain Raiser at Manhattan Class Company for their festival of One Acts, called "The Group". In 1988, Genie married actor/director Jonathan Frakes, who starred in the popular syndicated television series, Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). They maintain residences in both Los Angeles and Manhattan. Their first child, Jameson Ivor Frakes, was born on August 20, 1994. Their second child, Elizabeth Francis, was born on May 30, 1997. Ms. Francis has been with "General Hospital" on-and-off over the years, winning the much-coveted Emmy award as Best Supporting Actress for her role as "Laura" in 2007. But she stated she didn't want to play a wounded dove like Laura anymore and wanted to play stronger characters. In 2011 she got her wish when she started playing the role of the manipulative "Genevieve Atkinson" on another daytime drama, The Young and the Restless (1973). Although she earned an Emmy nomination for the role, she was let go in 2012 for economic reasons. Soon after she closed her store called "The Cherished Home" in Belfast, Maine, where had she sold cottage furnishings and home accessories. In 2013 she returned to her role as "Laura" on General Hospital (1963).General Hospital
