The Renaissance, the Age of Discovery, the Protestant Reformation and the Enlightenment, from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century, represented a cultural revolution, wich is supposed to leave the darkness of the Middle Ages, establishing a new conception of man and the world and changing the way of life of mankind.
