On 1/6/15, USA rung in the new year with the first cable cancellation of 2015. The series was a major hit in the ratings for several years, but recently began dropping to very poor numbers. The series ended with a few things up in the air as the producers did not know USA's plans. Some have noted that it was odd for USA to cancel the series without giving it a small final season like they did for White Collar and In Plain Sight. The series racked up a total of 75 episodes over its five-season run, the final episode airing December 18th, 2014.
2. Happyland (2014)

On 1/8/15, MTV cancelled the freshman comedy. The series went almost completely under-the-radar and was placed at 11pm instead of the post-Awkward slot (10:30pm). While MTV has not cancelled a scripted series in over a year in a half, they still don't understand scripted programming. They never fully took advantage of their hit comedy Awkward; only pairing it up with another scripted comedy in its fourth season. Now that Awkward is ending, there will likely be a new string of cancellations (MTV cancelled 10 scripted shows from 2010-2013). Happyland had a total of 8 episodes, the final one airing November 18th, 2014.

On 2/9/15, ABC Family announced the series would conclude with the current fourth season. The series debuted in 2010 to big numbers, but they have been in a steady decline for a while now so this news is not much of a surprise. It also didn’t help that there wasn’t much marketing for it and many critics were seemingly ignoring the series or bad-mouthing it out of ‘respect’ for the French version. Anyone familiar with the 8-part French series knows it ended on a monumental cliffhanger. However, this American version ended with several major cliffhangers.
