- DirectorJemaine ClementTaika WaititiStarsJemaine ClementTaika WaititiCori Gonzalez-MacuerViago, Deacon, and Vladislav are vampires who are struggling with the mundane aspects of modern life, like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts.A very enjoyable movie. A mockumentary about vampires living in the modern day. A great laugh, and would highly recommend.
- DirectorTom WalshStarsMelissa LeoMaggie WheelerJoey D. VieiraFamily inherits an old house and to their surprise, finds the home filled with wonderful colorful creatures that brings the family together. This is the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's so amazing. Everything about it is terrible, the voice acting, animation, rendering, transitions, everything needed in a movie, they missed the mark. This should serve as a warning to film makers on how not to make movie. Plus, it's hilariouse in a terrible way. I'd recommend seeing this with friends.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattVin DieselBradley CooperA group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. My favorite Marvel film as the movie is weird and wonderful. The film is also filled with witty dialogue, great set-design, and wonderful characters.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattZoe SaldanaDave BautistaThe Guardians struggle to keep together as a team while dealing with their personal family issues, notably Star-Lord's encounter with his father, the ambitious celestial being Ego.This movie is my actual favorite Marvel movie. Almost everyone in this film is an amazing character with fun humor and some nice special effects. I would recommend this movie to anyone.
- DirectorKeith MaitlandStarsMonty MuirViolett BeaneCole Bee WilsonAnimation, testimony, and archival footage combine to relate the events of August 1, 1966 when a gunman opened fire from the University of Texas clock tower, killing 16 people. This is probably be best documentary I've ever seen. It made me feel a range of emotions: sadness, rejoice, scared and many more. The animation is nice and the interviews are so touching. This film is highly recommended.
- DirectorAlejandro G. IñárrituStarsMichael KeatonZach GalifianakisEdward NortonA washed-up superhero actor attempts to revive his fading career by writing, directing, and starring in a Broadway production.A pretty good movie. Nice character study and a good story on becoming relevante, the past, and true art.
- DirectorCassie JayeStarsCassie JayePaul ElamAttila VinczerThe Red Pill chronicles filmmaker Cassie Jaye's journey following the mysterious and polarizing Men's Rights Movement. The Red Pill explores today's gender war and asks the question "what is the future of gender equality?"This was a really nice documentary. It really opened my eyes to topics I either knew little of or had no idea at all. This film changed my perspective on Men's Rights Activists. It also has some nice editing and interviews. I would recommend anyone seeing it.
- DirectorSergio LeoneStarsClint EastwoodGian Maria VolontèMarianne KochA wandering gunfighter plays two rival families against each other in a town torn apart by greed, pride, and revenge.A film full of spectacular cinemotagraphy and iconic shots. The music is also really good as it really adds to the atmosphere of the film. There are some cheesy moments and basic dialogue, but it's a well mad film that I'd recommend to anyone who loves great looking movies.
- DirectorEdgar WrightStarsAnsel ElgortJon BernthalJon HammAfter being coerced into working for a crime boss, a young getaway driver finds himself taking part in a heist doomed to fail.A good film full of fun, interesting characters and good action. The sound editing in the film is amazing as music will be in synch with most of the character's actions. Don't expect to be amazed, but it's still a pretty good film.
- DirectorJames C. WassonStarsMichael CuttJoy AllenBob CollinsAn anthropologist and his students attempt to track down a Bigfoot responsible for a rash of violent murders, only to uncover something even more sinister. This movie is really terrible. I think I'm being nice by giving it two stars. This movie has terrible affects, acting, lighting, audio, music, and plot, yet, it's a masterpiece in its own way. This movie is hilarious and the best scenes are with Bigfoot. Would recommend watching with a friend.
- DirectorJon WattsStarsTom HollandMichael KeatonRobert Downey Jr.Peter Parker balances his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens with his superhero alter-ego Spider-Man, and finds himself on the trail of a new menace prowling the skies of New York City.Probably my second favorite Marvel film. Tom Hollard did a magnificent job playing both as Peter Parker and Spider-Man. The comedy of this film was pretty good too. This movie made me really relate to Peter and because of this, he's probably my favorite Spider-Man. Would defiantly recommend
- DirectorCornel WildeStarsCornel WildeGert van den BerghKen GampuDuring the 1800s, a safari guide, two elephant hunters and their crew run into trouble with the natives in the South African veld when they refuse to offer gifts to the tribesmen. This movie does have its problems like special effects, acting, and some strange scenes, but this movie does have some beautiful shots. The scenery is also nice and I love how the African hunters communicate with each other most of the time.
- DirectorRoman PolanskiStarsMia FarrowJohn CassavetesRuth GordonA young couple trying for a baby moves into an aging, ornate apartment building on Central Park West, where they find themselves surrounded by peculiar neighbors. This is a very great and suspenseful movie. It feels like this whole movie was made around the ending and to make the ending as great as it was. I unfortunately knew the ending, but I still enjoyed it. This movie also has some great acting and lighting that adds to the atmosphere. A great horror flick.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsLiam NeesonRalph FiennesBen KingsleyIn German-occupied Poland during World War II, industrialist Oskar Schindler gradually becomes concerned for his Jewish workforce after witnessing their persecution by the Nazis.A touching film about hope and has some great cinematography, real characters, and great color direction. Probably one of my favorite Speildberg movies and would highly recommend.
- DirectorGeorge A. RomeroStarsDuane JonesJudith O'DeaKarl HardmanA ragtag group of Pennsylvanians barricade themselves in an old farmhouse to remain safe from a horde of flesh-eating ghouls that are ravaging the Northeast of the United States. One or my favorite horrors as it has flawed, real people that must work together and figure out how to escape the zombies. This film also has some wonderful lighting with awesome cinematography that really adds to the horror. Would definitely recommend as it is one of the greatest horrors.
- DirectorGeorge LucasStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherLuke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire's world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader. One of my favorite movies of all time. This movie seems to be terrific in every way, the acting, special effects, sound mixing, and character development. I admit I am a bit biased, but it's still a really great movie. This movie can be corny at times and have bad special effects, but that doesn't drag the movie. Trust me, this movie can appeal to anyone.
- DirectorSingeetam Srinivasa RaoStarsAllison BeecroftCindy CarltonGlenn CoulthardWhen an evil magician conjures a deadly dragon, a valiant prince leaps into action and initiates a magic prophecy to protect his kingdom. This movie is truly terrible, maybe even worse than Dwegons and Leprauchans. The animation is terrible, the colors, the story, the characters, the lighting, and even more, but it's a masterpiece. It's hilarious, would recommend watching with a friend.
- DirectorIrvin KershnerStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter the Rebel Alliance are overpowered by the Empire, Luke Skywalker begins his Jedi training with Yoda, while his friends are pursued across the galaxy by Darth Vader and bounty hunter Boba Fett.Probably my favorite movie of all time. The Empire Strikes Back seems to be perfect in nearly subject of film, acting, story, visuals, cinematography and much more. In this film, you really get a better understanding of the characters and how they must survive and adapt through the situations they go through. Besides a couple of bad affects, I find this movie near perfect, would definately recommend.
- DirectorRichard MarquandStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter rescuing Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, the Rebel Alliance attempt to destroy the second Death Star, while Luke struggles to help Darth Vader back from the dark side.Definitely the weakest of the original trilogy, but still a solid film. The practical effects and costumes are as great as always, but there's a few greenscreen effects look bad. The acting in this one seems to be a bit more stiff than the others and the story is lacking. The ending I find is very satisfying and I like how the characters act as we've seen them go for three entire movies. Not the best Star Wars, but still give it a watch.
- DirectorJay RoachStarsMike MyersElizabeth HurleyMichael YorkA world-class playboy and part-time secret agent from the 1960s emerges after thirty years in a cryogenic state to battle with his nemesis Dr. Evil.Probably one of my favorite comedys of all time. Killer performances from the leads, awesome jokes, a funny story, and pretty good costumes and sets. I would recommend this to anybody who loves parodys.
- DirectorJay RoachStarsMike MyersHeather GrahamMichael YorkDr. Evil is back and has invented a new time machine that allows him to go back to the 1960s and steal Austin Powers' mojo, inadvertently leaving him "shagless".I think this movie is funnier than the previous movie, but I'm certain that the story of the original was much better. I would overral rank them the same score, but the first movie has a much better story and character development, while this one has little to none. The comedy saves this movie and I'd still recommend it.
- DirectorJay RoachStarsMike MyersBeyoncéSeth GreenUpon learning that his father has been kidnapped, Austin Powers must travel to 1975 and defeat the aptly named villain Goldmember, who is working with Dr. Evil. This movie is defiantly the weakest of the series, but I still find it very enjoyable and probably the best way to close the Austin powers trilogy. The story is a better than the last one, but I find the comedy to be a little worse than the last one. Would still recommend though.
- DirectorWes AndersonStarsBill MurrayOwen WilsonAnjelica HustonWith a plan to exact revenge on a legendary shark that killed his partner, oceanographer Steve Zissou (Bill Murray) rallies a crew that includes his estranged wife, a journalist, and a man who may or may not be his son.A very laid-back and artistic film that I'd recommend to anybody. I love this film so much, the acting, the set-design, the costumes, special effects, I love all of it. The atmosphere of this movie really works with it's chill atmosphere with the very relatable problems that our main characters have. Their movie is also very aesthetically pleasing with it's color pallets and stop-motion animation. Truly a sight to see and I can't wait to watch it again.
- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsGeorge HarrisonHarry HarrisonPeter HarrisonFilmmaker Martin Scorsese examines the life of musician George Harrison, weaving together interviews, concert footage, home movies and photographs.A pretty good documentary that goes into great detail of George Harrison's life with interviews, photos, and past videos of the Beatle. I'd recommend this documentary to any Beatle fan and especially a fan of George Harrison. Although I found the editing style a bit lazy and uncreative, it grew on me as I kept watching. The length was bit of a problem to me, but it was worth it with how much detail Scorsese goes into Harrison's life. This isn't my favorite documentary, but I still found it very enjoyable and would recommend this to any fan of music, spirituality, or intersting people.
- DirectorSam RaimiStarsBruce CampbellEllen SandweissRichard DeManincorFive friends travel to a cabin in the woods, where they unknowingly release flesh-possessing demons.A fantastic horror movie that I'd recommend to any fan of film or horror. The best part of the movie is the cinematography as the camera seems to have a life of it's own from the pov shots, close ups, and the independence of the camera. The special effects are also pretty good with the make-up, blood and gore, and the stop-motion. The acting is also pretty good for a low-budget horror film. The movie suffers mostly from flat characters and a basic plot, but the previously mentioned details save the film. A strong 7 and a light 8.
